Trump: I Spoke With Putin and We Agreed to Begin Peace Negotiations Immediately

trumpstatementonputincall.jpg

Pete Hegseth announced some of the parameters for a treaty. The US would agree that Ukraine will never join NATO, and the idea of Ukraine getting all of its former territory back is unrealistic. I don't think that even the Ukrainian Vassals in the Biden Administration ever claimed they'd fight to restore all of the former Ukrainian territory, so that part isn't exactly new. It's just recognizing reality.

More of Hegseth's speech:

Lord Bebo
@MyLordBebo

FULL SPEECH: The US secretary of defense Hegseth says:

- The Bloodbath Must End

- Returning to Ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic goal and pursuing this false goal will only increase suffering

- The US does not believe that Ukraine's membership in NATO is a realistic outcome of the upcoming negotiations

- If there are any peacekeepers in Ukraine, it will not be under the auspices of NATO and not in accordance with Article 5 of the Charter

- US troops will not go to Ukraine, US military presence cannot be part of security guarantees

- It is Europe that should provide Ukraine with more military aid

- 2% is not enough, Trump calls on Europe to increase military spending to 5% of GDP

- The US is facing threats to its own borders and will focus on protecting them

- Communist China is a threat to US borders and US prioritizes such threats

- The US will no longer tolerate NATO's unequal defense policies that create dependency

Update:

Got willowed, but here it is - this Friday in Munich JD Vance and Rubio will lead a conference to end war in ukraine.

On the other hand, all of those countries are corrupt shit-holes whose only products worth a damn are fish eggs and strippers.

The thing that gets to me is all the high explosives and money wasted on an internal quarrel within Western Civilization when we have real enemies to vanquish in islam and the ChiComs.

Who knows what is true and what isn't. But at one point when Ukraine was demanding European and American troops, they said they were forced to send old men to fight since they were out of young men.

Many of the young men fled Ukraine at the outbreak of the war, as they were fearful of being drafted. They are spread all throughout Europe and the US as temporary refugees.

I don't know if any will go back, and if they will be arrested for draft dodging if they don't.

Hopefully Trump includes that little nugget in any negotiation.

Russia does not have enough population to exploit the resources they already have. Ukraine from the Russian perspective, was not about territory, but about securing people they considered Russians.

Some folks actually take their ethnic, tribal, and religious identity seriously, and the Ukraine Government was in the process of basic Ethnic cleansing, where they were trying to destroy any vestige of the Russian identity inside Ukraine.

Putin aint a good guy... but last time I checked the US was supposed to be AGAINST Ethnic cleansing.

223 Pete Hegseth announced some of the parameters for a treaty.

--- Ace

This isn't true, at least until the grand offensive with NATO weapons was smashed in 1993. There were lots of calls for fighting until regime change, until the borders before the war were reached or even 1991 borders which would recover Crimea.

This was the public face of the administration in Ukraine and its boosters which is part of what is making any realism in the strong Nazi Bandarite faction so hard.

Right. The US started this war.

First we funded overthrowing the government of Ukraine in 2014 because the democratically elected President was "Putin's puppet".

Then once we had "our guy" in, the EU and US started talking loudly about bringing Ukraine in to the EU and NATO.

Putin said that was a red line.

We kept pushing.

The ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine voted to leave Ukraine and join Russia because they were being persecuted by the government the US and EU put in place.

And... here we are.

All orchestrated by the US. So that the military industrial complex could get richer.

270 The Russians have seen that promises of NATO keeping out of their part of Europe are not worth trusting because of what happened in 1992 to now.

What is interesting about this is that this agreement will destroy NATO, since there is no way the EU states will make the armed forces that take 5 percent of GDP and will probably cause the alliance to dissolve in reality. Without the US its paper anyhow.

This also might destroy the EU itself in the process.

All good things.

Obama's screwing around in Ukraine including the 2014 coup lost Ukraine Crimea. As the EU has 3 times the population and 12 times the GDP of Russia... and Russia HAS been invaded more than once historically... AND Russia has a metric fuckton of unexploited Natural Resources?

Also I'd love for someone to eventually have the understanding and ability to create some sort of Datarepublican style connection showing how everything has fallen into place and is tied together since 1996 or so. Maybe earlier.

It's too big for a human to really grasp all at once, even when keeping up.

Russia has turned a corner. They hardly want to even trade with Europe. They are building the means to export goods without even using the oceans so geography can't throttle them. They just aren't keen on having EU countries stab them in the back like the Turks, Poles, Swedes, French and Germans have done. Hell even the Japanese in 1905.

Putin probably loves England more than the English deep state and 'elites'. And the fact that he has integrated parts of Russia he was fighting 10-15 years ago well enough that they were elite infantry units in the first two years of the war before too many regular army units could legally be used says he understands non Russians he rules over better than the British deep state understands England.

427 Crimea was purchased by Catherine the Great. It's been a part of Russia prior to the purchase (lost in war I believe) and for the last 200+ years. The Donbas is about 90-95% ethnic Russian. The Donbas Russians wanted no part of Ukraine, plus the Ukies had been shelling into the Donbas from 2014-2022, prior to the SMO.

What has come out of this war, is the proliferation of drone warfare, which is making tanks and IFV obsolete on the battlefield. Watch some of the drone videos taking out tanks such as the M1 Abrams. Massed formations are obsolete. Drones are here to stay.

Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at February 12, 2025 03:09 PM (YqDXo)

The names of most metals came from the name of the ore with the final a , plus a um. The ore for aluminum is alumina. The name for Magnesium's or is Magnesia.

Same thing with soccer. The Brits named it, then changed their mind and the US didn't go along with them.

Soon after NATO was founded, France had a decent army, the Brits were wilting but had a decent Navy, and West Germany had a decent army to resist a USSR attack. France pulled out of NATO for a while but still was committed to fighting in NATO if the USSR attacked.

After 85, though, all those forces became a joke in size and the area to 'protect' became larger. But apparently NATO leadership has not noticed any of this. They are insane.

All of the Third World countries need to consider this:

Fifty-two years it took them to do this.

So what's wrong with the countries in Africa, South America, and the Middle East, apart from the obvious: they're not Japanese.

Posted by: Smell the Glove at February 12, 2025 03:27 PM (KXtU1)

The kicking the snot happened but that only got them part of the way through Manchuria. Losses were about equal and there were forces on the main rail line at the next city building up. The strain on the smaller Japanese economy of war was huge, and getting out was a high priority. The win at Tsushima and pending unrest at Russia's clumsiness in Russia made peace for both sides high priority. Japan settled for moderate gains and Russia could accept that.

in 1939 the Japanese had a border dispute in Mongolia, and got cocky to take over a river valley there. Russia organized a force led by young officer Zhukov, advanced 400 miles from the nearest rail head and attacked with tanks and guns and wiped out the Japanese, killing 13000 of the 15000 Japanese there.

Suddenly Pearl Harbor looked a lot better than attacking Russia than facing the USSR.

526 Putin tried for the entire country early on, remember.

That was a 'stunt', like the Tokyo raid with Dolittle to try and scare Ukraine into negotiation. In a month, the US and UK had stiffened Z's nerve by promising him the moon.

Russia pulled back from Kiev because Z asked him to during the negotiation in Istanbul. Sustaining troops near Kiev was also no picnic. It also gave time for the Russia to secure South Ukraine and create the land bridge to Crimea which made trying to cut off the area a waste of time. The fall of the home city of the Azov battalion in Mariupol with the bulk of the unit also came out of the collapse of the negotiations.

As far as I am concerned the evidence of any Koreans in Kursk is dubious to be polite. Russia has hundreds of thousands of Russian reserves in the area and used them to hold the offensive from the first couple days and has been grinding them ever since.

Russia likes it when you come out of the trenches and drone cover and come out into the open to fight where their artillery advantage can kill the infantry.

See also the numerous Ukr lunges over the Dnepr in he south that used to go on. Russian generals convinced Putin to let them cross in boats to the dacha areas on the river, make a lodgment and then just shell the town until everyone there was killed and wounded.

530 Yes, this will embolden Muscovy to do other stuff - especially when Trump is out of office. Yes, more bloodshed will occur. Yes, Muscovy is attempting a genocide (look it up: it's not just killing everyone, it's attempting to eliminate cultures/religions - like Islam tries!) by things like, oh, burning books in Ukrainian in conquered territories, stealing children and shipping them off to Muscovite families, etc. Yes, this will engender future wars in Europe.

And, you know what? EUROPE needs to do more to protect against it! This should NOT be the job of the US!

The only real downside is that we got Ukraine in this mess in the 90's and this hurts us in the sense that people aren't going to trust us as allies moving forward. That said, maybe we shouldn't be inserting ourselves into these situations to begin with.

Kaliningrad becomes an independent country. All confiscated Russian money goes to Ukraine to pay for rebuilding. 536 in 1939 the Japanese had a border dispute in Mongolia, and got cocky to take over a river valley there.

Yeah, especially after the Japanese realized that the Soviets could travel 400 miles from the nearest railhead and that they couldn't come near that logistical capability.

539 Being leftist or Neocon means never having to say you are sorry.

Yep... given they're cut from the same cloth (Neocons are the spawn of liberal war hawks), no surprise.

540 Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally,
it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you
could be giving us something enlightening to read?

541 I have been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web
owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the
net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
