Good Morning kids. As I have often stated, my politics has evolved over the course of many years based on this premise: Everything wrong with this country, all the pain, misery, suffering, dislocation, waste of lives, money and vast human potential is the fault of and has been exponentially exacerbated by the (anti-) American Left, progressivism, socialism, big government statism and its epicenter: the Democrat Party. I defy anyone to look at the past 225 years of history going back to Aaron Burr from his murdering of Alexander Hamilton, subsequent establishment of Tammany Hall with its spoils system that at long last Trump and Musk are taking a wrecking ball to, and tell me otherwise.

Sadly, the GOP has been complicit in aiding and abetting this destruction, with the exception of course of Coolidge and Reagan (Ike recognized the problem but he could not or would not roll back the cancer that was the New Deal). So at best all we could do was "VOTE HARDER" for the Romneys, McCains, Bushes and Nixons, the latter two ramming the EPA and DHS down our throats because Bipartisanship or whatever.
So along came Trump and truth be told, I voted reflexively for him if for no other reason than to prevent a president Hilary.

But here we are after the past three elections with one of the most unlikely of men who may as Newt Gingrich correctly observes "Be the Most Consequential’ president Since Lincoln For Taking ‘Sledgehammer’ To the Establishment.

He'd be the most consequential because he was at the barest of minimums willing to at least make the attempt to do so and while it is too early to tell if he will succeed, he is causing the heads of this multi-headed hydra that has consumed our society, our government, way of life, security and hope for our future lo these past many years and decades to explode in violent reaction.

If he can starve that cancerous beast of its blood — Our money with which they use to forge the chains to bind us and in some cases the rope with which to hang us — then that will indeed be a giant leap forward in Making America, not merely "great" again but making America AMERICA again!

But among the monster's most predictable reactions is an out of control and generally corrupt judiciary that is usurping Trump's legitimate power and authority under the pretext that he is abusing his and usurping the legislative branch's vis a vis the power of the purse.

What will indeed cement Trump's place in history as truly consequential will be his willingness and ability to tell the Judiciary to piss up the rope it intends to put around his neck. If Trump can confront let alone slay the undead Demon that is Marbury v. Madison then combined with the dismantling, dismemberment and destruction of the shadow government that is the Deep State bureaucracy controlled by the Democrats and their RINO remora, will make him the greatest of Great Emancipators of all real Americans. May it be THY will, oh Lord.

While I am not sanguine about the notion of relocating Gazans and/or supposedly transforming Gaza into Riviera Two, if for no other reason than it likely would become Beirut Two and perhaps result in a repeat of not only 10/7 but for us another 1983 Marine Corp Barracks truck bombing. The real problem can be summed up in one word – Islam You're never going to win hearts and minds with that madness coursing through the hearts and minds of the locals. And that's also why Iraq and Afghanistan were such abject disasters. It would have been like defeating the Nazis while allowing the Nazi Party to retain power.

At the very least, Trump putting this in the public consciousness along with the abject wastage of billions and near trillions of our dollars will change hearts and minds right here at home!

And his going after the Dept. of Ed to me is also a big freaking deal. Preventing future generations from being brainwashed is also a big part of our Emancipation!

It seems to me increasingly that the only way our now bankrupt academic community can be reformed is not by reforming it but by completely shutting it down. Either we fire the entire teaching and administrative staffs at these colleges and put in new people (as Trump is now attempting in the federal government), or we close these colleges down completely and start from scratch to establish new institutions completely free from this poison. The halfway measures we are doing so far however are not working. Too many people who run our universities want to teach leftist propaganda and bigoted hate. Too many are actually ignorant buffoons who can’t think critically and really know nothing about the history of our country and its fundamental principles of freedom, individual responsibility, and private enterprise. All they know is that they hate America, its white population, and want it all destroyed. Trying to reform such things just isn’t going to work, because the bad stuff is too deeply ingrained. As long as these people remain so will the cesspool. More radical and fearless action is required. It is time to tear these places down completely, and build anew.

As I responded to this essay from friend and friend of the blog Robert Zimmerman about his desire to go absolutely scorched earth: It starts with the unions and then its the educators of the future teachers. That's what Billy Ayers was all about when he stopped making pipe bombs. But unless we can deprogram the past few generations of the brainwashed and prevent future generations from being brainwashed then a total purge of every Leftist freak in the classroom is what is required.

How we do that while maintaining the Constitution is the trick. Solve that and win a Republic!

I don't think our government employees, or, at least, certain segments of them, have realized the Trump Administration is serious about consequences for malfeasance.

I fully expect the people who sent millions to luxury hotels will be indicted, as will the people who leaked information about impending ICE raids.

Once people start fearing consequences, expect their behavior to change.

The two party system is, largely, a lie. We talk about the uniparty but the answer is probably simpler than that. I recall seeing a medical drama, years ago, where one of the doctors quipped that every surgeon sees every problem as an issue requiring surgery.

Well, every person who spends a significant amount of their life in government sees government as the solution. Even putting aside the ones who're actively corrupt, and the longer you stay in the more likely you'll become actively corrupt, the ones who're "just trying to help people" do so by robbing from one person, or enslaving them, or restricting them, to help another in the least helpful manner imaginable.

The size and scope of government is the problem. Until we solve that we're re-arranging deck chairs.

17 The oval office press conference (?) -- what would you call such a non-traditional moment -- with Trump and Musk (with his kid climbing over him like a little monkey) talking about DOGE was the most singular, fascinating, phenomenal and purely tonic thing I've seen in politics in my life. That two such American figures and leaders could speak so clearly and openly about their intentions to clean up our government, and after what we've experienced not just over the last four years but decades-- just amazing.

On the other end of the amazement scale was the one-dimensional, monomaniacal, retarded conduct of the media, which cannot seem even to begin to apprehend the importance of DOGE, in any sense at all, to the nation or even their lives as citizens. Just hatred and the fanatical need to undermine and smear.

Yep. I'm in NY and we have electronic voting machines. It would only have taken switching about 3% of the vote to install her - quite doable. As has been pointed out - she was a nobody who fell into the position. Nobody popular for anything, nobody with any noteworthy accomplishments. She was the legacy of her disgustingly corrupt predecessor.

I think that's how (Republican) Pataki got elected, back in the day. People got sick of Cuomo's father. But Cuomo's father didn't have electronic voting machines to bail him out.

Eisenhower was a great military administrator. I don't believe he ever saw combat - although he requested to be sent to Europe in WW1. He was a political general who became supreme allied commander in Europe because he was believed to be the least fractious choice possible.

While it might be momentarily less satisfying for Trump to fight this through the appeals process rather than just ignoring the courts I think this is a much better long term strategy. It's obvious to everyone that activists judges have way overstepped their authority and these nationwide fiats made by district judges have been a persistent problem for a long time.

If Trump ignores the courts he will give the left ammo to call him lawless, probably get impeached and give the left more ammo to also ignore the courts. If he lets the courts smack down these judges and I know Clarence Thomas for one is itching to hammer these lower court national edicts then it's all legal and the path is clear.

She wasn’t a big person but knew martial arts which helped as early on kids tried to go after her. The abuse was multi generational. I think she lasted 2 years. I worked in Newark (NJ) for many years. You could not pass a street corner in the neighborhood where there was a "church" headed by someone like the Tennessee preacher. AND, all of those little churches (many in a house) received tax exempt status. And the money flowed every Sunday. "The First Church Of The Gooey Death And Discount House Of Worship".

I've yet to hear any foreign leader complaining that taking out USAID will be a bad thing for their country. There will always be bad breeding. That's not the issue. The dog shows, the "show-line standard", has by its very definition as a standard, established a corrupted phenotype for breeds as opposed to how they were traditionally bred (sometimes over centuries) to perform. This is simply a fact. Take a look at the German shepherd, Labrador, Bulldog, Doberman a century ago compared to today. Aside from the alterations in physique there are numerous health issues. Would these changes have taken place without the corrupted "standard" of the show ring? I doubt it.

FedGov mandated the mercury bulbs right before the industry started coming out with the LEDs because of course it did.

As to incandescent versus LED which is the correct one to use varies based on your need. Most of my inhouse lights are LED since I don't want to produce extra heat. But since I live in a cold region incandescent are better outside. Also, since the incandescent ones are MUCH cheaper and weather is hard on everything exposed to it

Well, I've looked at the GSD standard from 1943 and the current one from 1978 and, while it's been extensively re-written, the wording for the hindquarters is pretty much the same.

Do I like the look of the latter-day German Shepherd? No, but I'm not in the breed. The question you have to ask is whether their appearance is inconsistent with their function as a herding dog.

Are the current show GSDs more prone to hip dysplasia? There are a lot more breeds that look nothing like a GSD that have much higher rates of dysplasia. Nor do you have to have a "show GSD" to have hip dysplasia.

It's a specialized field with a relatively small group of members. I don't know what your field of expertise is, but is it software development or something similar? Lived this exact experience. I was told they needed more women VPs as a reason why I didn't get promoted. Heard on more than one occasion a manager say they wanted to hire someone that didn't look like them. Consistently a top performer until I was placed under an Indian manager. Got replaced by 5 people. Kicker is that this company was too big to fail and took taxpayer bailout. This won't stop with tech.

I was young when NAFTA passed. Didn't understand the repercussions. I do now, and so should retired television engineer. With this job market and the push for AI, I'm pretty much fucked. I don't want my children to have to compete with foreigners for jobs in their own country, which seems to be the difference between every other generation and the fucking boomers. I especially don't want them to have to compete with people for which the racial bean counting doesn't apply. That's the other little secret.
