Kristi Noem and Trump Fire the FEMA CFO Who Defied Trump's Order and Illegally Sent $59 Million to Luxury Hotels to Shelter Illegal Aliens

Benny Johnson
@bennyjohnson

BREAKING: This is Big. Senior DHS Official has just confirmed to me that FEMA's Chief Financial Officer Mary Comans was just fired for illegally funding migrant luxury hotels in NYC against the orders of President Trump.

Comans is arguably most powerful person at FEMA, controlling billions in funding.

"Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants. Firings include FEMA's Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts and a grant specialist.

Under President Trump and Secretary Noem's leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people."

This is an earthquake

Valid (re defense.) The thing is, you do not get second chances and history is brutal. It is interesting. What happened to Hooker does have a correlation to what I brought up about Pharsalus. Pompey had ALL of the advantages. BUT. As soon as Caesar's hidden spearmen routed his flanking cavalry, Pompey could not believe what was happening. He could probably have still won, but he was in almost the exact same state as Hooker was.

53 The left keeps whining that Trump is engaging in a "hostile takeover" of the federal government and... yes, he is. For exactly the reasons hostile takeovers happen. Because the business is toxic and unsustainable, that it cannot continue as a business in these conditions. Just like Elon did with Twitter.

I'm perfectly fine with a hostile takeover of the federal government. I've been telling Trump* he should do it since 2017. Its the only way to have the slimmest possible chance of turning anything around.

*Not that he pays the slightest attention to me.

Undoubtedly part of the reason the hotel was charging so much money.

PATCO wanted a shorter work week and a $10,000/raise.

Reagan said no. PATCO went on strike. Endangering travelers. Reagan said get back to work or be fired. PATCO held firm and alas so did many controllers. So they were fired and banned from Federal service until Clinton lifted the ban.

71 Entirely abolish FEMA.

As a 27 year Emergency Manager, there is no fixing this beast and all Emergency mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery needs to go back to the states. Let the Feds dole out fed money to states when needed from an office/department judiciously with strict oversight. If a state like California wants to play games and dick around, no $$$ and they can fund they own recovery or demise.

77 There are ways to deal with out-of-control judges:

1. Impeachment. More easily said than done, but if the GOP wasn't a grundle of soy-sucking hermaphrodites, it could be a real option.

2. Defund. I'm not sure how judges and courts get their funding, but it has to originate somewhere with Congress. So cut and defund. Starve the cannibals.

3. Investigate. Turn their endless lawfare against them. And not just them. Investigate their spouses, children, grandchildren, nannies and pool boys. They did this to us. Time for some payback. I'm sure some are truly dirty.

4. Harass and annoy. Make their lives miserable. Get in their faces. They did this to us. Time for some payback.

5. The most extreme option? Cancelling the entire court, firing everyone, and starting over. Congress created the court system below the Supreme Court. It can uncreate it too.

100% occupation, long-term guests at standard rates. My guess is that the owners figured that they could re-model at the end of the program with the US Gov't good for the whole ticket. What they didn't count on was that the new president would be a NYC real-estate mogul who knew the game down to his fingertips.

Then they insist on the government rate. No FEMA person will stay at a comfort inn or Holiday Inn if they can get into a four seasons or Ritz. Just horrible behavior.

171 FWIW, Taft Hartley sets aside exactly how labor strikes are required to go. In the case of federal government, strikes are illegal in all cases as they are in many of the states/localities. In the case of PATCO, they went on strike, ignored a federal court order to return to work, and then the Reagan administration went back to that court which ruled that PATCO had to pay huge fines for every day they stayed on strike (eliminating the strike fund). So, PATCO decertified itself as a union which then meant all the employees were no longer protected from being fired for failure to return to work--ooops.

Hubris, avarice, and stupidity are not attractive traits in labor leaders.

My brother Joel worked at State Farm in the IT department for decades, he was part of their emergency response team. Their job was to scramble to any major disaster such as Hurricane Katrina and set up an office quickly so State Farm could fast-track insurance claims.

There was a big scandal here in Oregon when the Department of Agriculture built themselves a new headquarters. They took over like 5 acres of downtown land, put a building on 1/4 of it, built of marble and etched glass with then-top of the line computers. It cost the most of any state building effort ever before in history. Basically they got themselves a sweet budget and spent it all.

Part of the cost was moving "historic" homes that used to be in the area, picked them up and moved them on truck to a new location.

A bunch of sources have indicated they were freaked out by the WH staff-tards telling them the Dems intended for only 2-3 large, entirely government controlled AI companies to manage strictly censored AI platforms - and that it would be outright banned for everyone else.

Now we get more details that dozens of AI startups were torpedoed by debanking the companies AND THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE OWNERS when they refused to play censorship-ball with the WH.

Even the rich left leaning squishes in Silicon Valley understand that's too much.

Unspoken, though, and a conjecture on my part... in 2010-14 the Tea Party got crushed by military/government network analysis programs. I am pretty sure some AI shit has been abused since then for similar purposes.

Posted by: Thomas Bender

Part of what is causing that is that the Senate only allows two reconciliation bills per Congress which destroys the veto hold that Senate Dems have. So, the question is really one bill or two to do everything that is germane under the Senate Parliamentarian's ruling over what is fiscal and what is not. That includes keeping the current tax cuts in place.

Congress is not even passing authorizations or re authorizations anymore which means technically a lot of the current spending is in fact illegal according to Budget guidance laws. Our budget became dysfunctional because Congress became dysfunctional and our Congress is dysfunctional because our society has let it become so.

Government is corrupt by nature. It will become corrupt, again, the minute it's not being pruned. That is the lesson.

You won't tame government, or control it, to do good things with great amounts of money by uniforms and oaths and rules.

Every time you choose to create an agency, or send it money, you start a cycle of corruption. No agency is a "global force for good". Not the police. Not the military. Not - anything.

Never forget it.

Is that just more of the same, not too impressed. The reason we are where we’re at is everyone is on the take, looting the corpse, and never, ever, any consequences.

Somebody mentioned the “OPM Hack” the other day. It wasn’t a hack. They outsourced every Federal employee in the database to a chinese cutout firm. With full access to Root.

Congress called in the DEI head and yelled at her for an hour, and that was the end of it. This is not incompetence at work here, pure malevolence. The government answer was, not making this up

But there are some that think the tact they're following isn't going to work the way they think it will. I guess we'll find out....

407 What are the Dems whining about? None of this is likely to even get close to French revolution type kinetics, yet. Though the way the black-robed overlords keep pushing...maybe they should probably back off a bit.

408 By the way her trial does not have to be in either DC or NY. Because she used electronic communications means she can be tried in a federal court in Utah or any place wires go. If the Dems can jury shop - so can we.

409 I did a Red Cross deployment to North Carolina for Hurricane Mathew. I stayed in a 2 star hotel, double occupancy, for a couple of days and the rest in cots in a church gymnasium.

Crossed paths with FEMA staff on the ground a few times. Calling them assholes would be an understatement. Besides that, they were lazy and shitty at their jobs. We drove to our assigned areas and humped on foot. They would just slow down and look out the window at a building and drive on.

410 I can recall at least twice when the Horde wanted to cast Noem into the outer darkness where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. Same thing with Lil' Marco.

Nice to see we're willing to give second chances (but only if they earn them).

======

Trump is a leader.

Neither Noem nor Rubio are leaders. They are followers.

There's a very big difference between the two.

419 Entirely abolish FEMA.

Posted by: Cheri at February 11, 2025 03:03 PM (oiNtH)

States should set up regional collectives of equipment for disaster relief that can be triggered by a declaration of disaster. First responders can use that equipment and keep them maintained. Fema distributes to these men on the ground. Feds can volunteer army and other fed forces.

More land than he has already ceded?
Posted by: SH (no more socks) at February 11, 2025 03:14 PM (sX1BW)

Officially he hasn't ceded anything, including Crimea. Trump has pretty much said that the 4 regions (pretty much the status quo now) will pretty much go to Russia since they have formally been annexed.

422 Just logistically it's a hell of a lot easier to tell 5000 people to take a fucking hike and have security bar them from the building than it is to re-staff those 5000 positions, as you're never going to get all of them to just come back on January 21, 2029. Hiring, reconstituting staffs, figuring out where everything even IS after four years, etc.

your post. They're very convincing and can definitely work.
Still, the posts are very short for starters.
May just you please lengthen them a little from next time?
Thank you for the post.
