The Morning Report — 2/10 /25

LeskoPower.jpg

Good morning kids. As Elon Musk took a wrecking ball and a flamethrower to USAID and exposed not only the colossal waste of that nest of vipers, but of the multi-trillion dollar multi-headed hydra that is the bureaucracy as well as its agents in and out of government that have brought our society, nation and much of the world to the brink of disaster.

The cold hard reality is we are and have been for quite some time governed by a vast cabal of self-styled elites whose belief system and lust for absolute power engendered within them a wholly underserved status of having absolute moral authority to do as and what they want. The ability of politicians and others to game the system has been exposed by a combination of many of their schemes and delusions crashing down, mostly on us (from the border, to crime, sexual perversions and deviancies, anti-Semitism, anti-christianity, and red-green madness that has strangled our economy, and the incineration of Los Angeles because of DEI on top of environmentalist ideological pathologies. The emergence of Donald Trump and his exposure of this by promising to reverse it, has caused this monster to bare its fangs and attempt to strike back.

Besides Sesame Street in Iraq, where no doubt Bert and Ernie will sing about the joys of Jew-hatred while burning American flags and hurling homosexual muppets off of rooftops, is one thing. But USAID has funded some of the most heinous homegrown anti-Americans right here among us, in government, academia, the C-suites and elsewhere. Cutting off the funding of USAID is merely the tip of the iceberg. Money is the lifeblood of this cancerous rot. Of course the reactions have been typical, from scumbag degenerate thugs like Hakeem Jeffries, openly calling for violence in the streets to prevent and indeed overthrow this government, legitimately elected and having more of a mandate for the policies Trump is attempting including DOGE than perhaps any other president since Ronald Reagan.

Insurrection we much, eh Hakeem? Of course, the cornered beast is not going to just sit there and bleed out. Not after two centuries of nearly achieving absolute power. So this comes as no surprise, revolting as it is nevertheless:

A federal judge issued a ruling on Saturday, blocking Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from having access to Treasury Department data and records. . .In what universe is the Treasury Secretary not allowed to look at the records of the agency he manages? . . . The judge's rationale for the maneuver seems to have been pulled out of the air -- there isn't any.

Now the Trump team will have to work without records, without data, with no knowledge of how the Treasury's funds are spent because the deep state says the Trump team, legitimately elected by the voters, has no right to see them.

It was a ruling so bad, so disruptive, so overreaching into the executive branch that it surely will be overturned by a higher court, after a lengthy legal battle, and while that should disgrace the judge for awhile, it also may be the plan -- to cut into Trump's term so that he cannot govern at all.

Good on Elon Musk for putting forth a strategy for impeachment of these hacks in black. But sadly, that relies on a process where those who would do the voting are as corrupt and obstreperous as those they would be charged with removing from the bench.

Trump already showed the way with his EO ignoring the bastardization of the 14th Amendment. Unfotunately this too will ultimately wind up at SCOTUS which is dodgy at best, even with the huge win in Dobbs overturning Roe v Wade. Given the justified fear factor of the non-Thomas justices. Fear for their lives as well as fear of ostracism from the DC elite party circuit.

But that said, and we have discussed this many times before, but perhaps Trump is at long last the Chief Executive we have needed to destroy the specter of Marbury Vs. Madison, the case that allowed the Judiciary to acquire an outsized power it was never intended to have and which it has for far too long abused in maintaining the status quo.

Meanwhile Musk is setting the DOGEs loose on the absolutely anti-Constitutional CFPB, Fauxcahontas Warrens's politburo that is self-funded, has no oversight from Congress, cannot be abolished or audited and has the power to control the lives and livelihoods of every American citizen.

Tell me where that is constitutional. That should be abolished by Executive Order. the employees fired and the building demolished. Catch us if you can.

Mark Levin has spoken and written about the long dark shadow of Marbury at length, but this segment and transcription from his show in the wake of January 6th 2021 is quite worth a listen/read as a quick refresher:

Finally killing it would go a long way in truly making America great again. Or putting us back on track.

In that light, I give you this latest essay from honorary Horde member and lurker extraordinaire Victor Davis Hanson:

The Democrats' radical overreach, election losses, and Musk-fueled government exposés have left them flailing, doubling down on failure instead of recalibrating for a political comeback.

The Democrat Party is polling about 31 percent approval, a near-historic low. Despite enjoying a huge lead in fundraising, legacy media favoritism, and incumbency, in the 2024 election, Democrats lost the White House to Donald Trump. Ever since, they have offered nothing new, no novel agenda, no innovative policies—nothing other than screaming that they are loudly against everything and anything that the president is for.

His notion while nice to believe that the Democrats are committing political suicide may IMHO be premature because while no doubt Trump and his agenda pre and now post election are garnering widespread approval, I think he and others are predicting a longterm rightward shift in America. Even if this might be happening to some smaller yet not insignificant extent, it would take quite some doing for the Leftists en masse to reject their beliefs, and shibboleths to defect.

Even if they split into two parties (which would be phenomenal) The anti-Americanism and anti-judeo-Christian anti-westernism will still be there to greater or lesser extents in both parties.

Deprogramming the past several generations of our citizens and preventing the brainwashing of successive generations is key.

But for now, Trump is riding a crest of approval which matches the trough of disapproval for Democrats and Leftists. Taking advantage of that to win hearts and minds and nation rebuilding here at home is going to be key.

We'll just have to wait and see.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

3 The even more insane thing about the judge's ruling is that it was down ex-parte and without any citation of what law is being broken, only some nebulous reference to the take care clause.

Uhm, auditing the Treasury is a function of The Treasury and would fall under the taking care of the thing clause of the constitution.

This is one instance where Trump should absolutely ignore the judge. How many divisions do you have judge? A president or his appointed treasury secretary can’t look at treasury records is so absurd and ridiculous in its face it needs to be ignored… and that judge should be impeached and convicted. 14 We were right to be angry, right to be at the edge of violence, right to be protective, and right to be defensive of the Constitutional principles we citizens live with.

We were in danger of our flank being rolled and our position overrun. We still are in danger.

Love may conquer all but first it must defeat the well armed and amply supplied enemy, and such a mission is not completed by soft words but by hard men. There will be plenty of time to love one another once the enemy capitulates and converts to peace. Until then the pistols are charged, the rifles are stacked at ready, the artillery is swabbed, and the pickets sharp.

But, since our unelected judiciary has become, to all intents and purposes, a ruling class in and of itself, it doesn't surprise me a judge thinks it has a power most assuredly not assigned by our Constitution.

And judges are simply going to enjoin DOGE when it starts to look at other agencies.

54 I've been saying this since Trump's first term, but this time it's urgent... he needs to openly defy a court order. Now.

Every federal judge is keenly aware that their power to enjoin the other branches is usurped, has no basis in anything other than their own arrogation of it, and is totally unenforceable. They are a paper tiger. A real sissy one.

That's why Presidents who defy the courts have a 100% success rate at it, and that gay little tiger rolls over and purrs like a kitten for the rest of their terms. If the courts were to attempt to somehow force an unwilling President's hand, they would fail and their power would be permanently ruined - but if they are obedient and wait him out, they can return to the status quo ante.

Trump: now is the time. You have the mandate. You can get away with this. Or you can be bullied by fags who will ruin yet another Presidency for you.

I think, like the multiple civil suits filed against Trump prior to the election, there was a proverbial "call" made to U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer to try to shut down the DOGE crew looking into the U.S. Treasury's e-books. We know why.

Find that person(s). Because the various judges, DA's and prosecutors that went after Trump last year and the years before did not come up with those plans on their own. They were spoon-fed them.

Find those people and you'll put a pretty big dent all this horseshit.

It's what I do with proposals, I'll feed an AI a 1000 page proposal, I'll ask it to create a RACI, create a Responsibility Matrix of all trades and integrators, create a summary of everyone's scopes, create a timeline, and pipe all of the results to a pdf.

I really doubt anyone wants to be raped unless that's a hard euphemism for bondage games between sex partners. It just is part of virtue signaling to think the best of all people who are ethnic minorities instead of judging individuals by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. There's also some magical thinking in there "It will never happen to me" which is aided if one lives in gated communities.

232 The horrifying implications of the judge's order, is that there is literally no limit or restraint on what a judge can order.

He can order a secretary of state to certify his preferred candidate as winner regardless of the election outcome.
He can order a prosecutor to charge his political enemies.
He can order the treasurer to disburse funds to his friends.
He can order the IRS to assess a 100% tax on you.

All under the expansive universe of "take care."

Instead of a dictator of one, he will create an unelected, unaccountable dictator of thousands.

235 I love the idea that Trump, after having been made public enemy #1 for 8 years and regaining the presidency, after hiring Elon Musk to do a hostile takeover of the executive branch, is going to agree to slow down.

He knows this is for everything.

He understands how much of the left (and establishment right) is propped up by federal grants and largesse.

He knows that, at worst, these illegal judicial orders are speedbumps.

His legal team is obviously heavily invested in the idea that the chief executive is chief executive, and they're daring higher levels of the justice system to face him down.

I just keep thinking back to the order on the pause of USAID funding freeze. It lasted, like, 5 days. If that. I honestly only remember the order. I don't remember if it was rescinded. It might have been. Didn't matter. USAID funding has been gutted, 97% of the staff put on admin leave, and it's been moved under an actual cabinet secretary. Judicial muckery didn't even slow it down.

255 MAGA Melts Down Over Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Performance. It was a night of pearl-clutching for many prominent conservatives Sunday night as they objected to yet another hip-hop performance at a major sporting event.

Lamar seemingly predicted the backlash with the inclusion of acerbic actor Samuel Jackson, who introduced the rapper to the crowd and exclaimed: “Too loud, too reckless, too ghetto. Mr. Lamar, do you really know how to play the game?”

Right-wing commentators Eric Daugherty and Benny Johnson took their criticism to the extreme, describing the performance as “Black nationalist” and calling Lamar a “mumbling pagan Satanic cultist.”

Lamar really cleaned up his lyrics for the Superbowl performance. But conservatives still complained they couldn't understand him. And yet they were sure whatever he was saying, it was "Black Nationalist" in nature.

The people I was with didn't understand it. I thought it was awesome. It was a sustained and brilliant push-back to what's happening. I don't even understand rap and loved it.

You have to understand that DC is a small, incestuous town. People who, say, work in the media are dating/married to people in federal government, defense contrracting, NGOs, lobbying, etc.. That Congressperson you like may be married to the head of a climate-obsessed activist NGO, or an exec at Fannie Mae, and so on. So when you see someone in DC claiming the sky is falling over one of Trump's cuts, it's almost a near certainty that's because a relative or close friend/beloved former colleague was hit by it.

372 Re: Marbury v. Madison. Great interview of Mark Levin on Rush Limbaugh talking about it from 2006:

But where everything really changed, at least the impetus, was in the election of 1800 when John Adams and the Federalists got their political clocks cleaned by Thomas Jefferson and the Republicans. Adams lost the presidency. The Federalists lost both houses of Congress, but there was a big period of time back then between the time the new president came in and the old one left. It was March.

And so during that time, Adams decided that he’s going to try and make sure at least the Federalists have some say. So he tried to ram through some judges, which he did through the lame duck Federalist Senate, 16 of them, one of them being Marbury. He named his secretary of state, who was John Marshall, chief justice, and got him confirmed about five or six weeks before he left office, and so one of those judges challenged Jefferson, who said, “You know, I don’t have to put up with this. I’m not going to appoint these judges,” and he ordered his secretary of state, Madison, to sit on them and not appoint them.

373 Mark Levin on Marbury v. Madison continued:

So you have this lawsuit, and it comes before the Supreme Court, and who’s the chief justice? John Marshall. John Marshall was also a political confidante of Adams’ over the years and a footnote, he was a distant cousin of Jefferson’s and they were frequently political adversaries in Virginia.

So the bottom line is this case comes before the court — and let me cut to the chase. Marshall uses the occasion of the case to basically announce — and, of course, I paraphrase — he says, “You know what? When it comes to constitutional issues, we’ll basically have the final say here, folks. I just want to make that clear, that somebody has to do it, and we’ll do it,” and Jefferson went nuts.

And for the rest of his life he was the biggest critic of what he considered a seizure of power by the Supreme Court. He called it “the despotism of an oligarchy” way back in 1820, and since then it’s gotten worse!

377 As long as I'm ranting, the majority of DC is a poverty ridden crap stained toilet. I don't think they are all grifters. Shit, they are happy to get a couple of meals a day.

Even in Georgetown. Walk down the C&O canal path and count how many panhandlers are looking for handouts.

Schools suck, jobs are scarce. There are places here where you JUST DO NOT GO. The scene from Adventures in Babysitting (?) comes to mind when she was taking a taxi to a sketchy area and the cab driver said "Lady, even *I* wouldn't get out here."

Is there grift and shit. Of course. Is it the defining characteristic of the town. Maybe in some spots but I'd argue not the majority. To say it is would be the same as a blanket statement on the other side of the fence by the media blaming job losses due to USAID dismantling is the case with the country at large.

Ran Godfather II in a first run theater when I worked part time as a projectionist back in the 70's. A wonderfully structured movie. Great script, terrific acting, and wonderful cinematography. Many movies need to be seen on the big screen, with no distractions or interruptions. Both Godfather movies fall under that criteria.

379 So, back to the original question. Am I a grifter because I may sell tech to a private company that has customers whose fathers were E-3s in the US Navy?

Again, probably not.

But I suspect there are going to be a lot of non-grifters who realize they were contracting for people who were laundering massive amounts of federal dollars. Like a taxi driver picking up a bank robber, the taxi driver isn't doing anything wrong, but there might be an interruption in the day and the customer's money to pay the fare might not be available before the trip is over.

The world doesn't revolve around you, you know. And I call BS: the majority of money changing hands in DC isn't just grift, it's grift for people who have skullfucked our economy, currency, and society, and have greatly impinged on our civil rights in order to keep it rolling. No one is going to throw a pity party here because you dislike our characterization of the federal govt or it's cancerous asshole of a capital.

And I think that was my original point. Many people here aren't conscious of where the money is coming from. To them they are just a cab driver or a laundry worker or someone who sells tourist tee shirts. And if they lose their jobs, are they going to go into a detailed analysis of where their customers went? Prob not, they'll just blame Trump.

I have nothing whatsoever against writers using obscenities. But if the only way your prose makes "sense" or is impactful is via those obscenities, then the writing itself is shallow, lazy, corporate bullshit marketed as teenage rebellion.

yep. Was thinking the same thing. In the private sector we prepare for the when, not if business life isn't fair. We also know that no one cares about our problem, because life isn't fair, who doesn't get a turn, and no one wants to listen to a lack of resilience. We also know complaining about the bad hand counts against us in the eyes of prospective employers. A lot of us out here are thinking: So some people in the DC bubble, that think it can't happen to them, get to experience normal business life. Maybe some blame Trump for life being unfair. So what. Keep cutting, auditing and do what ya got to do DOGE!

>OPM.gov, Open Government data, Federal Agencies list. Note that all sub agencies/bureaus or sub elements of the U.S. Treasury Department are cabinet level, none are "Independent," and that employment levels of each are also given.

Elon's "Titans" (my tag of the groups looking for fraud, theft, waste and abuse within the Federal government) can likely setup search parameters utilizing the agency's Organizational Chart & also the Budget-in-Brief (2025) available through home dot treasury dot gov, and also through the multitude of available audits, reports including: OIG (dot treasury dot gov) "Audit and Evaluation Reports; CRS's (Congressional Research Service) lengthy listing of "Treasury" reports; White House briefing memorandum, EOs, etc., and the Bureau of Financial Services' Financial Report(s) of the United States Government.

However, how the US State Department also interfaces with US Treasury could be very interesting, i.e., The Office of International Labor and Corporate Social Responsibility (DRL/ILCSR), a division within the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL).

>December 2016, the US issued its 1st National Action Plan (NAP) on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC).

>Also see. state dot gov '2024 US Government National Action Plan on Responsible Business Conduct,' and CSIS dot org, 'Updates on the Release of the U.S. National Action Plan on Responsible Business Conduct,' Published April 8, 2024.

Besides the US Treasury, the above Plan also 'touches' the US DOL, DFC, and EXIM and has 'roles" for the USDA, USAID (energy transition planning), and more.

Amazing how many "independent" Federal agencies there are now, i.e., the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

It's an independent bureau (agency) within the Federal Reserve System, which is part of the Federal Executive branch.

>Congressional Research Service, The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Budget: Background, Trends, and Policy Options December 9, 2024.

Excerpts follow -

Posted by: L - No nic, another day at February 10, 2025 10:55 AM (NFX2v)

389 Congressional Oversight - (In part) "Because of the structure of the CFPB’s budget, congressional oversight is limited compared to congressionally appropriated agencies."

Other Proposed Changes. In part, "Other proposals would generally leave the CFPB under the Federal Reserve funding structure but modify the CFPB’s budget in other ways."

>Norton Rose Fulbright, 'Supreme Court rules CFPB funding structure is lawful,' May 2024 (Reading this article is suggested.)

BTW, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) works with other federal agencies including the FTC, DOJ, Federal Reserve, SEC, FDIC, HUD, National Farm Credit Administration, DOT, and USDA. (Another web)

Lastly, can't wait for DOGE to begin detailed examination of Medicare/Medicaid. The blue states with unlimited abortion, home healthcare service businesses in every strip mall, and much medical debt forgiveness should also prove to be fascinating.

Local County taxes just went up 23.4%. Because there was such howling, and potential hardship for the increase, the Real Estate Tax Deferral Program was developed. "This upcoming program will allow eligible residents to defer increases in their real estate taxes, providing a measure of financial relief."

The increase in real estate tax which may be deferred is that amount over and above the property tax paid in 2024 which results from a millage increase. It does not include an increase caused by a change in the assessed value of a specific property.

The amount deferred becomes a prior lien in favor of the County upon the property (as for other real estate tax liens). Unless voluntarily repaid earlier, the annual real estate tax deferral granted under this program is due upon the sale or transfer of the property, or upon the death of the claimant.

It's that just great on the County's part?

396 #9: "This is one instance where Trump should absolutely ignore the judge."

No. That provides a line of defence/attack to the left *and the judge*. Better would be for Bessent to say that since he cannot review the data on who is getting a check, he cannot fulfil his sworn duty to see that the law is faithfully upheld.
Accordingly, NO checks will be issued until this issue is resolved.... Sometime around the beginning of April....
Not one check will issue from the Treasury while the Secretary, duly appointed and confirmed by the advice and consent of the Senate, is not allowed nor legally capable of over-seeing who is getting a check. This restriction will of course, include the judiciary, ALL of it, lock stock judge and clerk, who will not receive a check, due to this injunction...
