It's not so much that I hate Indian H1Bs as I hate watching US citizens get fired to open a job for them. I hated watching them cheat on every exam in college. I have having to clean up the mess from their work.
At my company we have scores of H1Bs from India. There's 1 who is competent and, in her defense, we hired her while our headcount was still growing. Since then we've laid off hundreds of citizens. Hundreds. But, to the best of my knowledge, not 1 H1B. And, since I'm in the trenches, I know that the quality of their work isn't the reason.

I was in Yosemite Valley when that 'ban' first hit... after hiking with the Lady Friend, we stopped at the Awahnee for a Irish Coffee before driving home.
They put PAPER STRAWS in our Irish Coffees... which of course disintegrated. Sent them back TWICE as bartender couldn't figure out the problem... finally just said don't give us any straws...
Yeah... didn't get much of a tip from me that day.

But that's not my primary complaint with Indian h1b's. They're being used as pawns by our "elite" just like the Guatemalans are.

This is how you destroy a country. Outsource manufacturing to the third world. Import tens of millions of unskilled laborers to replace the blue collar jobs. Import millions of semi-skilled people to replace the white collar jobs.

Congressional oversight is conducted in hearings at the Capitol--hopefully Trump's executive offices will not blow Congress off as much as under "Biden".

An American tech start up based in NYC who I do some work with is headed by a Ukrainian (here as a refugee) with an Israeli General Counsel (here on an e5 visa), and they recently laid off 4 of their 5 programmers (now that the "hard work" is done) and replaced them with immigrants. As far as I know, they used O1 visas, not H1B. But whatever, splitting straws here.
It doesn't seem like a great system.

That's not a bad idea, on the surface. But there are plenty of problems with that on the back end.
The garbage has to be shredded to burn efficiently.
This was a whole project that the City of Columbus tried years ago.
They had regional shredders to accept trash, but the shredders kept getting broken because people put weird stuff like propane tanks and metal stuff in the garbage.
Then it was found that the trash burning power plant was emitting dioxins, and there was a big "cancer cluster" down wind of the plant. You could have fixed this with injecting carbon into the stack gases to scrub the dioxins, lead, etc out. But by then, it was too late, the reputation was ruined. $250 million down the crapper.
They do this a lot in Florida, because it has a shallow water table and there is really no place to landfill trash.

Yes, but all Africans are slave traders. And slaves. It all depends on which tribe is winning any given civil war. A big part of the reason Africa became such a big slave-trade continent is that the endless tribal and civil wars generated an endless stream of captured enemies to be sold in the slave markets. We've actually moved beyond the magic dirt argument now. I've seen many businessmen openly say that countries no longer have a culture, they're just an economy. And so doing whatever is best for the economy is de facto best for the country.

I'd buy your argument about Economy if at any step in, say, England anything in the economy improved at all. At some point if the strategy fails, and fails again without change you have to figure that they are lying about the strategy.
I heard all those explanations in the US in the 90s about how the China bootstrap would cause big improvements AND make China western. Said it was nonsense then, and the stealing of tech and the making of competition helps only China now. But the idiot execs of the 90s are all retired and buying stock elsewere.

You work in all directions ... start with a program. Add the places it gets money and add them to the "tree" of connections. Look at significant outflows and payments, names of staffers make them links. Repeat for every node in the tree until all you know. Then do scans for nodes and peeps that repeat many many times. These are the graft pumps to go for.

There were probably only a few peeps there. Note how all the groups is pushed right up to the door to look like a crowd. No pans over the crowd to show mass support. And only 2 congressmen? The buffets in the area collect about 10.
