3 Gee! Made it without even trying!

Evening and morning, late toilers and early risers! 'Tis Thor's Day -- we're 4/5 of the way along the dusty trail to the weekend.

Wonderful news this week, hey? Amazing what someone can do when he decides to give no f**ks and charge ahead with what he knows is right. And has an ally with lots of $$$$ in his own right as well having his own $$$$. And team members who speak straight (Bondi and Leavitt) and carry padded but heavy sticks too.

6 Getting warm here; 80 yesterday and 80 expected again today. Gah. No workout this morning. My dr. visit yesterday went fine; my doctor is not worried about my slightly elevated a1C reading since my blood sugar is resolutely normal, and my weight is holding steady where it should be.

Just need to get to the weekend, and stay away from downtown while the Stupor Bowl stuff is going on. Not difficult to do. I rarely go anywhere near downtown or the 'Dome. Of course, later this month the Annual Insanity, aka Mardi Gras ("Festival! Festival!!!!"), will arise to annoy me. For, I hope, the very last time!

Feels like living in a time of legends, Elon & his squires have found the grail. The King has yet to even assemble all his knights of the round table. The red dragon is trapped atop his horde.

15 That Hyper7 R4 keyboard looks amazing, but the price: Well, you really have to want it.

Here's a video from a year ago discussing options, good, bad, etc...
https://youtu.be/OQr-19y7oW4

At the end he mentions that people outside the UK ordering this thing should be aware of import taxes. He says those in the USA should be good if only ordering one, because they have a personal $800 exclusion. Not as of yesterday they don't - so that's something to be aware of.

The site that sells them is called "Mechboards":
https://mechboards.co.uk/

The price (in $USD):

Base keyboard: $477
Keycaps: $64
Switches: $36 to $171 (depending on what you want)
Stabilizers: $54 to 116 (depending on what you want)

Min price: $631
Max price: $828 (which wouldn't have squeaked under the $800 exclusion anyway)

Then again, if you're buying this expensive of a keyboard, you're probably not worried about import taxes/duties/tariffs.

30 years ago I would have jumped at having this cool of a keyboard with that much functionality.

One other negative he didn't mention: Buying from afar, you can't test the feel of the keyboard before you commit to it. That's a must for me.

16 I hope that PDTS uses this USAID business as fodder to shut down the government until congress provides a budget. Tell congress going forward, anything allocated but not spent already is not gonna be spent until it's reviewed and no discretionary funding will be spent until we have a budget for it.

BOING!

We arrived at our vacation home in north Israel last night. Temps down to 2c/35f. Had sleet and snow flurries for about half an hour here at around 9AM. Was really afraid that the roads might ice over but it changed to rain and partly sunny since then.

Too cold to maintain anything outside. Manana.

It's nice not to hear things go BOOM. Till next time!

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

God is our safe haven and a source of power. He's always present, especially in times of difficulty, ready to offer assistance. In moments of stress or fatigue, visualize God as a fortress protecting you. Take comfort in His constant presence and let it alleviate your anxieties.

Kind of lacking on controlling the backlighting features of this thing, but you can eventually cycle through all the patterns and settle on a solid colour and get that programmed into one of the preset keys.

It's got just the right click/resistance/springback for me, and the layout and spacing is comfortable to my hands. (And yes, it took me a few weeks to properly adjust to from my previous keyboard.) This is a touch-typist thing, and it's all about subtle muscle memory in regards to exact key spacing.

Good morning, ma'am!

Well, for starters they could do their jobs and bring us an actual operating budget. Or they could just go home and we can run the government using the slush we have in the USAID account. If that one 'department' is any indication there's plenty of funding available for reallocation or principal reduction of the debt.

The CIA "whistleblower" who kicked of the Trump impeachment over the Ukraine phone call relied on a OCCRP news story that two Soviet-born Florida businessmen were “key hidden actors behind a plan” by Trump to investigate the Bidens.

In 2024 a German TV broadcaster NDR reported that USAID approved of OCCRP's work plan and new hires and that OCCRP’s original funding came from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the State Department.

The Army report? Basically that they failed to follow standard procedure in her case, and only her case, and are treating it sort of like it's a tragedy that these 66 other people killed this glorious woman.

The author specifically states that they aren't saying anything about HER, since they know nothing about her, but rather that the Army is behaving in a manner to shield and glorify her at the expense of everything else. This behavior shows that they don't view her as having been part of Team Green and that's a problem.

183 175 167 Using Reddit I took a look a number of the 50501 (50 states, 50 cities, 1 day) anti Trump protests and from what I could discern the same 200 people were flown to each one. Unlike that Soros funded protests from Trump 1.0 that got the Left all riled up these things pathetic self-therapy affairs.

More from my day at the People's March in Washington, DC! I was there with thousands of people who were so angry at Trump’s impending presidency, they almost voted against him.

187 Soros and his "Open Society" organizations need some DOGE attention. Or DoJ attention. Or both.

I've yet to see any indications they are intertwined with the various NGO's or grants that are currently under investigation. His orgs may not be. No idea.

But if I were a Soros or Soros adjacent I might be concerned.

190 In New Mexico the Santa Fe Communists ensured us that grifting more tax dollars to the teachers would improve "education outcomes." Welp, that didn't goes so well. According to one ranking of public schools by state New Mexico when from 50th to 51st. Heck of job you are doing Chief Communist Michelle Lujan Grisham.

The good news she is term limited. The bad news former Sec. of the Interior from the Biden years, Chief Dream Catcher is running for the job - She has singular and spectacular DEI resume that would make Kamala blush. We are so screwed here.
