And, you know what makes me laugh? The Dow Jones is steady as a rock (even shooting up +300 today). It tells me that Wall Street has confidence that the administration knows what it's doing. And, that consumer confidence hasn't been touched...if anything it's about to improve significantly.

There was a period where teams did a lot of stupid stuff based on 'the way it was always done' and a sharp GM who hired players for cheap that had these characteristics could win above their weight. Guys who walked a lot, hit for power and stole bases without being caught scored more runs than your banjo hitting SS who got caught stealing half the time.

I would imagine in this situation the first grantee (the NGO, for example) is the donor.

I haven't put too much thought in to it, but I think it's something along these lines:

Government gives money to Charity. Government has to disclose that publicly, as does the charity.

Charity donates that money to a DAF. The DAF itself is not a charity and does not have to make required disclosures. So I'm pretty sure there is no disclosure requirement at this point, and the money has been washed.

The DAF then donates the money to another charity (it has to by law), who then grants the money to whomever they want.

Which is why it will be VERY complicated to piece all of this together. Especially considering there were likely millions of transactions happening between all these groups over the years.

I stayed at a resort on the coast just a bit north of Gaza years ago for business in the off season. It was a nice place just north of the old Jaffa castle and town. Big beach. The time was one of the times Lebanon was lobbing missles into Israel from the north.

My dad loved baseball,so I did too. He would tell me all about the history of the game, all about the different players he idolized when he was growing up. He was a die hard Cincinnati Reds fan till the end. I love baseball because of him. I taped all of the Reds games and would play them for him in the winter of his life, our own hot stove league. When dementia took over, we watched all of the taped Reds games, and he was still excited about them. I hate what baseball has become, but I am thankful for the enjoyment it gave my dad at the end.

The Big Red Machine was a great team, they could do it all and everyone was a hard out. We had a utility player, Woody Woodward who for some reason could hit Tom Seaver like a drum. He would bat cleanup whenever Seaver was pitching, while our stars had a hellova time. That's a thing in baseball, some career 225 hitter batting 450 or something with 5 homers.

I also was in Chicago during the Jordan Bulls, its nice seeing the prime of a great team.

With that many people withing driving distance of the protest in a state that is easily described as East California politically one might expect thousands of people to show up for the big Trump Resistance 2.0.

Not so much. According to people who where there to protest the turnout was about 500 people.
