Student Kills Himself After Firing Several Shots in Nashville School; He Wounded Two Others

Via John Sexton.

From NBC "News:"

One student is dead and another is hospitalized with a gunshot wound following a shooting Wednesday at a Nashville high school cafeteria.

The shooter, a 17-year-old student, fatally shot himself after firing multiple shots at Antioch High School just after 11 a.m. CT, police said at a news conference. The shooter was armed with a pistol, authorities said.

A female student suffered a graze wound to the arm and is in stable condition at the hospital. A male student was also treated for a facial injury, but was not shot.

There are claims about who the shooter is/was but they haven't been confirmed. The longer the police and media take to confirm his identity, the more likely those early claims are to be right.

Update: I'm seeing people saying that one of the female students this miscreant shot has died. I don't know if that's true. Early reports are always suspect.

I only saw Yahoo News because I've used their email for about 35 years, and they put news in the mail now.

7 The trend has been that all these shooters are from the left.

I don't think it's necessarily that the left makes people crazy (it does make them crazy), but that the left has worked REALLY hard to recruit the crazies into their religion as well.

Therefore most of the crazies doing horrific things are on the left.

11 Awful. It's absolutely wretched how commonplace this has become.

My son who lives in Nashville wonders if it might be gang related. He said that's a kind of tough area. Who knows, though. Might just be a run-of-the-mill psychopath. Horrible, horrible.

17 This is sad. Most likely a case where they all knew each other and something bad happened between them vs. the left’s favorite macabre obsession with mass shootings of children.

Of course they follow up with “the day after President Trump abolishes the office of gun safety” without once noting what that organization would have done to stop this. I meant it’s been a day, if that org was doing something, this wouldn’t happen, right? What we need is an office of teaching people coping skills.

It has the read of a girl breaking up with a guy (either having dated him or him imagining they did), and him not handling it well. The shooter apparently went right up to confront her in the cafeteria - then shot her and only grazed the arm of a different person (guy) before leaving to shoot himself.

529 501. Has Congress officially extended the Trump 2017 Tax Cuts, yet, and made them permanent?
Posted by: Soothsayer
======
Trump held separate meetings with House and then Senate leaders and members. Much of what is desired comes from the limitations imposed on reconciliation in the Senate. Senate rules permit that being used twice in a Congress and the Senate parliamentarian rules on what has germane budget effects and what does not.

Non-germane items that do not affect the budget can then be filibustered as they cannot be included in the reconciliation package.

So the controversy is over separate smaller bills or one big package slid through by reconciliation. House and Senate differ on that apparently.

Fauci might not be solely to blame for the rash of school shootings that have happened post covid. But locking down children and setting back for years their emotional and mental health and ability to connect with others has been utterly disastrous.

The left likes to say that those of us that are pro second amendment have blood on our hands when these events happen. I disagree. But if we go by their logic, then EVERY person demanding back in 2020 that schools should be locked down and kids stay home has this blood on their hands today. Parents, teachers, media, politicians. All of them are complicit as they refuse to mentally help the kids they destroyed.

My absolutely favorite Mitch McConnell campaigning before the dumbhits moment happened a few election cycles ago, when he had a semi-electable guy running against him in the primary cuz voters were tired of the Turtle bullshit, and-

Someone got up to ask him a question which was , "Senator McConnell, do you support gun control?"

And some flak suddenly hands McConnell an old flintlock and McConnell says nothing...nothing at all. He just holds the flintlock above his head with a shit-eating grin and all the Kentucktards start a-whoopin' and a-hollarin'. And, of course, the Turtle won that one with zero commitment for the 2nd Amendment. But, those hillbillies sure thought he did.

When last I checked most people did not consider drinking water to be a merit based exercise. Contrast if you will, that most people however strongly believe merit based hiring of the contractor they are hiring for home improvement. They research things like Angie's list, yelp, and the BBB to make sure the contractor is good. Merit based hiring is not discrimination. Are you saying minority contractors have no merit??? Is that not a racist position? Soft bigotry of low expectations much, John?? Tell us more, John, about the white man's burden....you 19th century leftover.
