Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Biden Pardons: Fauci, Cheney, Milley et al Cannot Refuse to Testify About their Illegal Actions Now that They Have Immunity Due to Their PardonsThis is going to be an amazing news day. It will end with dozens – perhaps hundreds - of Executive Orders from President Donald Trump reversing the left-wing agenda imposed over the course of the Obama presidency and Biden regency. But first, there is the much-expected, pre-emptive pardons of the most subversively corrupt government employees, specifically Anthony Fauci, Mark Milley, and Liz Cheney and the J6 Committee. Biden pardons Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, J6 committee members President Biden pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, and others who some speculated may have faced investigations under the incoming Trump administration on Monday. The pardon also applies to a litany of people involved in the January 6 select committee investigation. In addition to the named individuals, the pardon applies to, "Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the Select Committee." Fine. I’m not sure they’d ever go to jail for their subversive actions anyhow, but now they cannot refuse to testify about their crimes. It is imperative that Congress call each of these pardoned traitors to testify under oath, and if they refuse to testify, or do so and perjure themselves, they will have committed a federal crime. In addition, Fauci, Cheney, et al must also expose every confederate who conspired with and participated in their criminal actions.

So, a good day became a very good day (would have been better if I hit remission b/c it's been 4 months, but some say the slower it is to get there with blood cancer, the slower it will be to leave it and trend back up, so here's hoping that's my path)... It is not true to say that there will be no consequences for their actions; it's just that when they are let off the hook, the consequences move on up the line. At the very minimum, the consequences mean a widespread recognition that Biden's regime was a massive criminal enterprise; and also the Trump will now be even more popular and have more of a mandate for change than he would have.
It is unlikely that many prosecutions would have taken place, since there would have been a lot of pressure on Trump to look to the future and not to litigate the past. However, now Biden has just convinced every LIV voter in the nation that yes, these people really were all criminals guilty of crimes requring a pardon. Good job, Joe. You did a better job of that then we ever could have. Fine. I’m not sure they’d ever go to jail for their subversive actions anyhow, but now they cannot refuse to testify about their crimes.
++++ No. But the less sophisticated ones can plead the fifth, while the more savvy can suffer from chronic inexplicable failures of memory. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at January 20, 2025 10:57 AM (L5WFg) ______ Yea. Testimony and depositions are way overrated. In my 20 years experience as a lawyer, having been involved in 100s of depositions and dozens of trials/arbitrations, the times a witness actually gave damning testimony that implicated themselves could be counted in probably single digits. And in those cases, there already were documents and other hard evidence that conclusively proved their guilt. The vast vast majority of witnesses, when questioned about their guilt, remember exactly nothing. If anyone thinks any of these pardoned criminals are gonna admit guilt in front of a committee -- or even admit any role in any wrongdoing -- I admire your optimism, but it's unicorn-fantasy unreality. Posted by: Elric The Blade at January 20, 2025 11:05 AM (iFTx/) 170
In addition, Fauci, Cheney, et al must also expose every confederate who conspired with and participated in their criminal actions.
++++ And while we're in fantasy land, I'd like the Laker Girls to take a break from their burning city, swing on by and give me a hummer. There will surely be some inquiries and hearings. There will be some nice soundbites from Congressmen raking them. It will dominate a few news cycles. The witnesses will fail to remember, refuse to answer, lie and prevaricate. Nobody will see any justice. It will be theatrical but largely unsubstantial. I am much more optimistic about reform of some of the bureaus, including HHS and its siblings. I don't like RFK Jr but he is essentially correct on that topic and appears to have few if any fucks to give for traditional political structure. Can Congress overturn a pardon?
This power of the President is not subject to legislative control. Congress can neither limit the effect of his pardon, nor exclude from its exercise any class of offenders. The benign prerogative of mercy reposed in him cannot be fettered by any legislative restrictions. ___ I'm sure it will be argued that this means Congress can't even call them into hearings about their crimes they are being pardoned for. The worst thing about our current political landscape is this back-and-forth between Americanism and communism of the last several administrations.
It does little good to reverse evil economic, domestic, and foreign policies if the next round puts them right back. Industries can't be assured that the policies that lured them back to the USA will be in place four years later; foreign governments who trust a good President can't be assured America won't reverse course later; individuals and businesses can't be sure their homes and livelihoods will be safe and secure in the long run. The collectivists and their cohorts must be so ostracized and blocked from public life and service that they have no avenues to return to power. Mr Sefton noted this morning (again), "Evil never rests, and the historic and perpetual seat of evil in America, the Democrat Party is not going to disappear." They must be crushed to utter impotence. I have no miraculous answer as to how to do this, beyond the obvious necessity of recapturing education and communication and culture, but I know that we must secure our nation against the tyrants and thieves to survive and thrive in the long term. Rep: yes but they were afraid Trump would go after them illegally. Me: well if it were “illegal” why not just go to court and prove your innocence instead of pleading guilty and accepting the pardon? Good news, but it's difficult to believe we have reached a point where this is necessary.
Do we give out blanket, non-specific pardons just to prevent criminal investigation/charges or whatever? Treading new, potentially dangerous ground here, IMO Because he incoming regime would manufacture criminal charges against these people. And the justice system can't be trusted to throw those charges out as the nonsense they most certainly will be. The "modern" media allows the re-writing of government functioning: - that "DOGE" is somehow a real Department - a President can shut down an agency or eliminate an entire Department at the stroke of a pen - a President can "declassify" classified documents with a thought then a "pardon" can be anything we say it is. Ok. Wheee. Let's chuck all the toys out and enter that brave new world. This will come back to bite us in the ass. We won't like where this heads Sometimes one has to stand up to the bully. Continuing to "turn the other cheek" hasn't worked although we know that WE still have empathy and they have none. Unfortunately, he didn't pardon Leonard Peltier. 😢 Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at January 20, 2025 11:20 AM (ycI94) 348

370 I'm not American, so I'm a little confused. How can a pardon be issued to people who haven't been convicted of anything? Does the wording of the President's authority in this matter allow for this?
Posted by: Daniel Ream at January 20, 2025 11:22 AM (LgYtf) It's actually a very gray area. When Nixon was given a blanket pardon, it was considered a unique case done in the interest of national stability, because it was deemed harmful to drag former Presidents who still had widespread support through the Courts. Biden's use of the pardons for his family members and others is something completely new, and which I think must be challenged. Posted by: Tom Servo at January 20, 2025 11:26 AM (wyMQY) 426

Simple new law - all actions taken by the executive and his departments from one week before the election until inauguration day may be overturned by the incoming executive. Exempt nothing. No pardons, no contracts or 'loans'. no hiring or leases. If it is non-partisan, the new officeholder can allow it to stay, but they aren't required to honor anything.
Eliminate all lame duck action. If it was important, do it before hand, and when the people can reward or punish you for it. Posted by: But I'm a Hero, the media says so at January 20, 2025 11:43 AM (F/35S) 711

Buck, serious question:
As we saw with Scooter Libby, Donald Trump, etc., declaring that someone is lying is subjective. What's to stop them from invoking their 5th Amendment right based on the argument that "if my testimony doesn't match your preconceptions you'll call it perjury and prosecute, so I'm saying nothing." There are substantial differences between legislative immunity and a pardon; the latter carries an imputation of guilt and acceptance of a confession of it, So there's that. Posted by: Heresolong at January 20, 2025 09:53 PM (evZX6) Processing 0.09, elapsed 0.1094 seconds. |
