My daughter had a pit bull named Moo moo. She would eat anything. Once ate a live gopher in my back yard, barfed it up a minute later, then tried to eat it again. One time they left the dog food bag on the back porch, she ate so much she had to have her stomach pumped.

Yes. My lab Bella who passed in June was not to be trusted with any food no matter how well you thought you had it put away. I had ordered a bucket of chicken and had to take a phone call and had shoved it to the back of the kitchen counter behind the microwave. When I came back, the bucket was on the floor, with the paper that they put on top of the chicken sitting next to it, and all 8 pieces gone. Not one crumb left. Bones and all. I had to take her to the Vet the next morning because she had scratched her larynx from eating the bones and had to get x-rays to make sure a bone wasn't still stuck in her throat as she was wheezing. $400 later and she was wheezing for weeks afterwards and wagging her tail like she had done something truly amazing. Still, you've got to love them.

145 I went to HEB yesterday and this medium sized, white dog comes tearing through the parking lot and runs right into the store looking for her owner. She was in a harness with a leash attached. Not sure if she somehow escaped a car or if she was tied up. I tried to catch her on her way in but she was too fast. Well, she escaped the store and came running back through the parking lot the same way she went in so this time I stepped on her leash and caught her. The store employees took her inside and tried to make an announcement looking for the owner. Next thing, I see her running through the store and out the door again without her harness that she slipped out of. Eventually she found her owner because I saw some hipster looking dude carrying her out of the store like a bad toddler.

Yes, and she will continue to do that and continue to gain weight and then it really becomes a problem when you have to put her on a diet like I did. She started having joint problems, etc. because of her weight gain and was on the verge of having other health problems. Of course my kids who were teens at the time didn't help by feeding her their left overs when I wasn't around - pizza, cake, burritos.... I managed to get her weight down and luckily she loved to walk and swim so the exercise helped.
