Basically they took various stars from different TV shows and had them compete in made-up state fair style sports. Like three legged races, and dunk tanks, etc..

For my part, many of the women were on shows where they normally wore suits or dresses etc. Normal beautiful women. But on BOTNS some of them would be in swimming suits or track suits for the first time. And all the camera men were very generous. Everyone was smiling and laughing, everyone having a good time.

It was the nice intersection of mostly wholesome fun and sexy that rarely exists these days.

I was in my early teens, naïve but in love with every woman I saw.

I've seen more teevee in the past week than I do all year.

I can't stand the interracial commercials, not because I'm opposed to interracial couples, but I resent you forcing it down my throat. Also the gay couples. Stop it!

Oddly enough though, jewelry commercials appear to be mostly hetero. I wonder if that's just simply because the gays don't buy it in large enough numbers.

Lesbians may sure like their Wendy's ice cream, and the gays may love fabric softener, but if you want to sell rings, you get the normies to smooch on camera.

Cruise is indeed short and very small overall. Ahnuld is not as tall as depicted in movies, but he is not short. There are many pics of him at bodybuilding contests where you can see his barefoot height compared to others. He was taller than the guys in the 5-10 range, but shorter than monsters like Lou Ferrigno.

I think the "Ahnuld is short" idea also stems from that famous pic from the set of Princess Bride where he looks like a midget compared to Wilt Chamberlain and Andre the Giant. He does look tiny. But Wilt and Andre were 7+ feet tall.

Not as short as Larry Manetti, I think.

271 I somehow managed to miss the sidebar item until now: "The secret symbiosis between rap and yacht rock".

OMG. What's next? "Yacht rock's debt to Flatt & Scruggs"? "Beethoven foreshadowed yacht rock 200 years ago in his 'Ode to Joy'".

272 I worked with a guy who got to know Arnold a little bit. They were both long-term staying at same hotel in Europe - colleague on temp assignment, Arnold shooting a flick. They used to drink and smoke cigars on bar patio. My colleague, who was 6'2" or 3", said Arnold is around 5'10", not close to 6".

I ran into Bradshaw at the FBO at AFW one afternoon. The guy seemed freakishly huge to me. Then at a hockey game one evening Kevin Gogen and Bernie Kosar sat a few rows down from us. Gogen was monstrously large.

284 I remember watching the Conrad-Kaplan race live. Conrad was making a fuss that his team had been cheated, and they ran the race to decide the issue, and Kaplan dusted him. I did not see that coming!
