I’ve realized that almost all of the car bombs and IED’s of the Iraq war era were built either by covert military or ex military, with top of the line explosives. That’s why they were so devastating. Someone may have tried for that with the Tesla, but it was just wet fart compared to the real thing.

||ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. - The FBI seized the largest cache of homemade explosives in its history from a Virginia home, according to recently released court documents.
More than 150 explosive devices, generally characterized as pipe bombs, were found in a home and garage on a 20-acre farm in Isle of Wight last month, the documents state. The source also reported that Spafford “stated that he believed political assassinations should be brought back, and that missing children in the news had been taken by the federal government to be trained as school shooters.” After the assassination attempt of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, the defendant allegedly stated that he hoped the shooter doesn’t miss “Kamala.” “There was no evidence that Mr. Spafford did anything other than make some ill-advised comments about the government and political leaders that are not illegal and are protected by the 1st Amendment. Using a likeness of a political leader as a target at a shooting range is a common practice and not a reason to incarcerate someone. The United States’ position that Mr. Spafford is a danger is rank speculation and fear mongering,” Spafford’s attorney’s wrot|| Posted by: andycanuck (hovnC) at January 01, 2025 06:27 PM (hovnC) 33

Posted by: Bulg at January 01, 2025 06:51 PM (v6JzV) As a convert, if you came in from the Episcopalians or maybe even the Lutherans, the service will be structured along the same lines: Liturgy of the Word (up to the sermon/homily, then the Creed) and next the Communion side, when the Eucharist is brought out and consecrated. If you came in from some megachurch which is basically a TED talk with some guitar music, my advice is, firstly, well done for tiptoeing out of there, secondly, just stand when others stand, sit when others sit, kneel when others kneel. The congregation will recite stuff, or even sing it, but you don't have to. As a Catholic even other churches will sing where some speak, or sing in different keys, so visitors even who are Catholic will be in the same boat. Mary veneration isn't a yuuge part of the Sunday service. That comes in more for the Days Of Obligation like, er, 1 January. And Immaculate Conception and so forth.
There is a point where in the creed we bow when the part comes up, "and was born of the Virgin Mary and became man" (if I'm not flubbing the exact words). Also you might hear "blessed Mary ever virgin". Otherwise the focus is on Christ. Posted by: gKWVE at January 01, 2025 07:11 PM (gKWVE) 203
