I Can't Believe It's Not Christmas Yet Cafe

garyindianachristmas.jpg
I can't believe it's not Gary, Indiana

More of Gary, Indiana going all-out for Christmas in this thread.

Though I think it's a joke.

Am I pretty now Mommy?

Santa's missing some of his deer.

Kangaroo crossing.

Friends meeting on a walk.

The best little cashier.

Making ice cream right in the udder.

Bunny-thugs vandalize snowman.

ICYMI: Sled dog.

Cat bully rules the school.

The world belongs to goats -- we're all just platforms.

Another picture of Gary, Indiana -- or somewhere -- at Christmastime:

Gary, Indiana (named after Elbridge Gary), fell on hard times as US Steel's fortunes declined.

-He has no identity.
-He has no home.
-Mr. Gower is a kid-poisoning ex-con bum.
-Sheldon Leonard is a dick.
-His town is named after his archnemesis.
-His best pals Bert and Ernie not only don't know him but think he's a kook.
-Violet Bick is a bite-fighting mob whore.
-Mr. Martini must have died in penury because the bar belongs to Nick, the dick.
-His own MOTHER not only doesn't know him but is a bitter old widow running a boarding home.
-Uncle Billy is in an insane asylum.
-Little Pete, Jane, Tommy and Zuzu—his children—do not exist.

But then he learns the big, awful thing that Clarence can hardly bring himself to say:

MARY IS AN OLD MAID!!! HORRORS! AND A LIBRARIAN!

H7, don't laugh but... I had a situation last week after a defensive training class. We were being taught how to escape from a wrist lock. You had to power up hard to free yourself. A day or two later, my entire arm from ring finger to shoulder became miserably inflamed. Source seemed to be from the elbow, perhaps bursted bursa sack, but no swelling., so not likely. Felt like tendinitis.

Very concerning because tendinitis of any kind for me always seems to be a two year recovery-biceps, Achilles, always two years.

Painted my entire arm in dmso, 50%. Three days later, gone.

211 Gary must have had money when the steel mills were running.

My Dad was a fireman in Gary. Their pay was slightly below Chicago firefighters. USW union employees were slightly lower in prestige than the UAW, but a very good blue collar wage.

The 70s was when Gary had 13% unemployment, making Flint look like Beverly Hills.

The mills are still open and cranking out steel. USS had 20,000+ employees at one time, about 8k when I worked there. Much more efficient.

It was a good town when I was a little kid. Was turning crappy by the time I was out of college.

That's where I got my info. It's really quite the product. The series AMD writes on dmso is pretty intense. We've been literally painting every ache and pain, from bad backs, hips ,knees and I can honestly say I've been able to eliminate nsaids. NSAIDs are not a permanent solution., with risks you'd be surprised to hear of.

It supposedly heals at the cellular level, as opposed to masking pain. No wonder big pharma attacked it. The clinical studies prior to its ban are pretty incredible. The midwestern doc has all the details from congressional testimony prior to its ban.

Worth a view for sure. No longer banned, but only sanctioned for use as a "solvent". As such must be careful to have really clean skin and cautious about synthetic clothing prior to it drying. It can drive impurities into your system.

Dean Martin died on Christmas day, 1995.

Here is the Dean Martin Christmas Special 1967, with the entire Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra families.

I cued it up to when Dean introduces his son, Dean Jr, who died in 1987 when he crashed his F-4 in the California desert.

I've been using it on my hips for months now (torn tendons). Don't know that it's repairing anything, frankly. But it could be. I've had the pain for decades, so who knows if it's repairing or not? Also not doing the yoga and heavy lifting, so I keep using it, combined with rest, until I can get something else done.

Dash

My understanding is (as well as my personal experience) that for a chronic issue, you'll need to give it time to take effect.

My knee has been in issue for 40 years, and it took about a month of 2x daily applications to bring the pain and swelling under control.

If I pick up a muscle tweak, and I address it within 24 hours, DMSO works almost immediately.

The next morning, the queen [of Denmark] had a breakfast spread for Clinton and the staff. Again, first class. As we headed to the motorcade to leave for an event and the flight home, I was pulled aside by the Danish military aide. “Buzz, we have a problem. Your staff stole the china and crystal from their rooms. And took other things as well.”

What *is* it with the Clintons and stealing china? Does Hillary just constantly need new plates to throw at Bill?

333 Festivus it is for me.

While sitting at stop sign, the front driver's side wheel area of my new Toyota RAV4 (4700 miles) got plowed into tonight by dip shit 2 who was driving to fast and was unable to stop when dip shit 1 made a left turn in front dip shit 2.

Dip shit 1 pulled into two of the three oncoming lanes of heavy traffic and stopped when he realized he would never clear them.

All other lanes of traffic were able to stop in time except for dip shit 2 in the middle lane who tried swerve around him. Of course the two smacked into each other which caused dip shit 2 go careening and plowed into me. After the cars were cleared I checked for skip marks from dip shit 2's car - none. He never touched his brakes.

Besides the obligatory sheet metal destruction, my front wheel is sitting at about a 45 degree angle. The car may be totaled. Yeah. This is going to be a nightmare.
