Everything and everyone is expendable if it furthers that even a little bit and nothing else matters to them. Remember when Nissan, Honda and Toyota were the Japanese Big 3? The guy who ran Nissan into the ground to the point where Nissan is going to be absorbed by Honda just left, keeping his well deserved (sarc) salary of 220 million a year.
