Jean Cocteau was a French poet, playwright, novelist, designer, film director, visual artist and critic. He was one of the foremost artists of the surrealist, avant-garde, and Dadaist movements and an influential figure in early 20th-century art. The National Observer suggested that, "of the artistic generation whose daring gave birth to Twentieth Century Art, Cocteau came closest to being a Renaissance man.". . .

During the Nazi occupation of France, he was in a "round-table" of French and German intellectuals who met at the Georges V Hotel in Paris, [...] In his diary, Cocteau accused France of disrespect towards Hitler and speculated on the Führer's sexuality. Cocteau effusively praised Breker's sculptures in an article entitled 'Salut à Breker' published in 1942. This piece caused him to be arraigned on charges of collaboration after the war, though he was cleared of any wrongdoing

The White Paper (French: Le Livre blanc, alternatively The White Book) is a 1928 French novel by Jean Cocteau. It is a pederastic semi-autobiographical novel about Cocteau's life, and centers on an unnamed protagonist developing his sexual identity by having sex with men and watching men have sex with each other. Cocteau never placed his name on the book, but he provided illustrations for some of its editions.

The talking heads on the stream I chose had the annoying habit of talking over the ceremony, and not about what was going on either. It got really bad during the awakening of the organ. What ego do you have to have to show the restoration and celebration of a great architectural landmark and think viewers want to hear you speak through the whole thing? One of my kids has a somewhat unique name. Spelled the “normal” way. It’s not crazy 1 in a million name, just a name you don’t see very often. However, 80% of people who see it written out for the first time, pronounce it as if it’s a totally different - but very popular - name.

The case is over. Penny got away with killing him. Neely was just crying out he was hungry, not threatening to assault someone. White, male privilege, and it smacks of racism to me.
Penny caused the death of an unarmed person who had touched no one. We're not in the jungle. A person who caused another person's death should not go unpunished. New Yorkers know the rules upon encountring a crazy person on the subway, which is why people aren't killed every day and Neely wasn't a real threat. First of all, never make eye contact with them so they don't zero in on you. Second, move to the far end of the subway car because they usually smell. One does not engage with them, especially touching someone who has not touched you. Apparently ex-Marine Penny, obviously not a NYer, did not know the rules. So, violation of unwritten subway rules by non-NY'ers should lead to imprisonment? Gotcha. The only diffence between Penny, Rittenhouse and Zimmerman is that Penny is viewed as a sympathetic figure, not menacing like the other two. He chokd a man half to death, who died because of his actions, and got off. Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at December 10, 2024 10:34 AM (JCZqz) 308

Swedish Govt Intensifies Efforts To Track 'Refugees' Holidaying In Home Countries
I've mentioned this story before but I know a guy from Jordan who told me about his cousin. The cousin got into Europe as a "refugee". He went to Sweden where they gave him a free apartment and a stipend. He moved in with a Swedish woman and rented out the apartment. He eventually went back to Jordan to get married and the Swedish girlfriend found out and dumped him. But...not long after he found an Italian girlfriend who is ok with him having a wife back in Jordan, so he moved in with her. He still has the stipend from Sweden. He still rents the Swedish apartment out. This gives him enough to live off of and travel back home and give money to his wife there. But remember...he's a refugee... Short hair on women?
Long, luxurious, shiny, silky hair is a pretty good sign of health for a woman. Buuuuut, like beards for men it's also an easy way to hide defects like an asymmetrical face or wacky ears or scars, moles whatever. Whereas to successfully carry off a short cut as a woman, you've got to pretty much have a beautiful perfectly symmetrical face. Also a great sign of reproductive fitness. Short hair on old ladies is different and generally signals a surrender to time. Posted by: naturalfake at December 10, 2024 10:42 AM (iJfKG) 337

Had a man of lesser pallor in the drug store some years back get loud about not being treated right, at no one in particular.
Then he started shouting at the top of his lungs: "I been through the world and I been through the woods And I seen the world, and it ain't no good!" And I thought ok motherfucker I'm headed for the exit. Posted by: ... at December 10, 2024 10:58 AM (W6ek6) 388
There is a traditional Hobo. They aren't the same as bums. Read some history folks.

What if you're singled out and accosted by the nutcase? What are the "rules" then?
Wasn't on the subway but when I was in college. Homeless dude asking for spare change (College students are not the best target demographic for money but whatever.). I politely said I didn't have anything and went on. He grabbed my wrist and said "Hey come on. Anything you can spare." I locked eyes with him and growled "Brother, I thought I just told you I don't have any change." Man let go of me and moved away quickly. To say I am unsympathetic towards a lot of the homeless is a bit of an understatement. 307 The case is over. Penny got away with killing him. Neely was just crying out he was hungry, not threatening to assault someone. White, male privilege, and it smacks of racism to me.

"Y" sends the French into le tizzee. They call it "the Greek letter" and lamely attempt an upsilon. It is so foreign to them.
Posted by: Way,Way Downriver at December 10, 2024 10:09 AM (zdLoL) In Spanish it is called the "i griega" the Greek I, and I suspect it came in from Latin transcribing Greek loanwords. Posted by: Kindltot at December 10, 2024 11:15 AM (D7oie) 396

I adore this attitude, it is both racist and blind. A recent study found that attitudes of people who have been "educated" on white male privilege don't alter their views of minorities or women, but they do worsen the views of poor and disadvantaged white men, "since they can't even leverage their privilege and must just be degenerate and lazy" Posted by: Kindltot at December 10, 2024 11:19 AM (D7oie) 397
Yep. I moved out of NJ for the same reason. No one needs to live in a shithole.

To judge from the photos of officialdom NYC is run by black people. I think this explains much.
