Former National Security Advisor John Bolton claimed ...
++++ He could claim the sky is blue and I wouldn't trust him. John Bolton is nearly a non-entity at this point, but I will never forget him. John Bolton occupies a similar place as Kevin Williamson. He is one of the men who laid bare how awful, venal, craven, petty, stupid and cheap the establishment is. It was the fact that he was a cheap whore. Not that he was a whore. That was not surprising. He was in and of the Beltway, so whoring is as expected as a sunrise. It was how *cheap* Bolton sold his filthy political pucker in the shop windows on K-Street that did it for me. Ten grand. John Bolton was selling out his country at ten grand a pop. Me - a somewhat well-to-do, workaday, W-2 wage-earner slob - could buy John Bolton if I had the connections. Adjusting for inflation, that's nowhere close to 30 pieces of silver. But it's enough for the like of John Bolton. It's enough for most of them. When supply is deep, price is cheap - and they're all for sale. Ten grand? He'd do it for five. And he is emblematic. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 26, 2024 10:10 PM (HnUIn) 40

Four days later, Dr. Fauci and then NIH Director Francis Collins emailed each other to plot a "devastating takedown of its premises. Megyn Kelly ran clips of previous interviews she did with a lot of Trump's nominees. Makary was talking about the arrogance of the medical profession, and how they need to humble themselves. Johnny Somali encapsulates every stereotype I belive about Somalis.
I'm sure there must be some nice ones. David Bowie's wife seems very nice; gracious and elegant. But every one I've ever met, including infants in their parents' arms, has been obnoxious. Also from Yahoo News:
After several months of downbeat data to end the summer left workers feeling sour about the prospect of finding a new job, consumers' feelings about the labor market may be rounding a corner. On Tuesday, fresh data from the Conference Board's Consumer Confidence survey for the month showed the difference between respondents who believe jobs are "plentiful" and those saying jobs are "hard to get" rose for the second straight month. "Electrophonic" is a term coined to describe sound produced by EM effects directly. When conditions are just so, an EM field can induce sound locally. It can be actual sound produced by objects that vibrate due to the field effects, or "in your head" when some EM effect produces vibrations or what your auditory nerves interpret as such.
Meteors can do this, and at least one satellite did upon reentry. Now, it seems Starship does the same thing. What I can never figure out is why people who weren't cut off from any knowledge of history are so filled with hate at being ruled by businessmen, but dream of being ruled even more closely by untouchable bureaucrats. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon The keyboard is split into two roughly right triangle pieces that slide as the laptop's lid is opened or closed. As the lid is opened both pieces slide out to the sides, followed by one piece sliding downward. The two halves mesh to form a keyboard 29.2 cm (11.5 in) wide which overhangs the sides of the laptop body. Conversely, as the lid is closed one piece slides back, then both slide inward until the keyboard can be covered by the lid. It's arguable whether the Ukes can operate much of the advanced western systems (Patriot, StormShadow) they've been given. There's no doubt at all that the targeting of longer range systems - whether the platforms are western or not - is entirely dependent on western intel. Ukeistan doesn't have the intel collection for most of these attacks.
Difficult to believe that Ukes can operate ATACMs (minus the vital targeting aspect, which they certainly cannot do) unless there was training going on for a while now. IOW, NATO is attacking Russia.
Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at November 27, 2024 12:58 AM (w6EFb) I grew up in Norfolk. My friend's Mom had a security clearance to work at the NATO HQ (on Hampton Blvd) as the head librarian. I had a NATO German lieutenant in class once. Very familiar with NATO. It was necessary as an opposition to The Warsaw Pact. But post-1989, NATO lost its raison d'être. The West has broken a lot of understandings with Russia when it comes to NATO. The most egrgious is failing to understand Russia's paranoia about its border. Invasions by Napoleon and Hitler are part of Russia's psyche. The don't want to be invaded again. And, as discussed last night, we've already invaded Russia after WWI to try to stop the Reds from taking over. NATO are the baddies. Never thought I'd ever say such a thing. But it's true. I'm no Russia-lover, just someone who understands a little more history that the talking airheads interviewing (War) Hawk Tuah NEOCONS to whom too many have listened. Did ancient aliens exist or not? YouTube can't seem to make up its mind about this one.
FBI oddity: The US Marshalls know exactly where one of them is and can't extradite him because, what follows is a bit of a stretch theory, he owned a BBQ chicken restaurant and apparently his recipes were so solid they became something of a national secret. That and Europeans are idiots. Posted by: Altaria Pilgram at November 27, 2024 02:27 AM (vO42M) 472

Good night, Horde, how many hours until Thanksgiving? I will be thankful though, especially for the Horde.

Hijackins seem to have passed from popularity. There have a bazillion of them, most we never heard of. Here's an odd one -
December 14, 1972: Quebecair Flight 321 en route to Toronto was hijacked by Larry Maxwell Stanford and diverted to Montreal where the hijacker surrendered. Those 9/11 cocksuckers sort of ruined the game. There's no reason not to fight no matter what the consequences now. Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at November 27, 2024 02:33 AM (QzM4s) 477
Heard on the local news tonight that if you are flying to your Thanksgiving you need to arrive 3 hours early to the airport.
3 hours early! I remember when flying was fun. Free drinks, snacks. Smoke if you got'em. The flight crew was nice to you. People around you were in a good mood, even smiling. But in time the powers that be have ruined it. It's just a bitch now. Posted by: Case at November 27, 2024 02:35 AM (27pJk) 478
I was on a Delta nonstop flight from Budapest to New York that was hijacked to Andrews AFB.
But apparently that was OK, because the Hungarian Prime Minister Orban was on board and said "do eet" so all nice and non-criminal. Apparently. Posted by: Miklos is not an Orban fan at November 27, 2024 02:36 AM (+w4kg) 479

There is a clip of Sen. Kennedy cracking Tom Cotton up during some confirmation hearing. Kennedy was questioning one of Biden's lunatic judge appointees about his "State your pronouns" orders to parties before him in court. The lawyers had to announce their pronouns. He got to reading the order, which included honorifics such as "Mr., Ms, or Mx." Cotton cracked up when Kennedy said "Mx." Well, I powered up the "parts" Thinkpad T43, and it sounded like it was hanging in the boot sequence. LCD screen broken, so could not read BIOS messages, if any. I took it apart, more or less carefully, and have saved the motherboard, hard drive, and memory, and the cooling fan. Was no CD drive in it. The BIOS battery is a CR2032, so I will use its wire harness on a new CR2032 for the good computer. Might try putting its HD into the other machine to see what's on it.

@TheFP Rep. @DanCrenshawTX when asked if he would vote for a ban on Congressional stock trading: “This is number 1,000 on my priority list... Sure, why not? Don’t let us trade stocks. We’ll just keep whipping ourselves—how about we don’t make any money either? Just cut our paychecks. This is a great idea. Let’s make Congress a place where only millionaires can afford to do the job. Would I vote for it? Yeah, sure, who cares? It doesn’t matter to me, because I don’t have any fucking money to put in the stock market—unlike the bullshit headlines that have been written about me.” Posted by: Mister Ghost at November 27, 2024 03:43 AM (TGPs7) Processing 0.04, elapsed 0.0518 seconds. |
