  • A million people have left Twitter for competitor Bluesky since the election.

A million of the most annoying people on Twitter.

Bluesky is getting what it deserves. (Twitter)

The tech is fine, but the people running Bluesky are the same ones Elon Musk fired from the Trust and Safety team the day he took charge. They are all-in on censorship, and so are the people now flocking to the platform.

And since there are no conservatives to fight, they are fighting each other.

Content reports have soared by 4000% as they lash out at everyone and everything, and in a truly beautiful turnaround, the most committed lefties are getting permanently banned for claiming the election was stolen.

15 So I joined twitter three months ago because I was tired of reading about twitter on sites like Twitchy and not being able to check the story links. I am glad I had Twitter/x during the election. It was fun to celebrate a win and see so many others celebrating. Also, there are some people that post breaking news and I wanted to read it.

After three months, I decided Twitter is an incredible waste of time. There’s nothing wrong with checking certain posters who provide breaking information, that for sure is the best part of the site in my opinion. But when it comes to posting your commentary and responding to liberals, I came to realize the enterprise is stupid. Maybe on a macro level it is a good thing so the majority voice can be heard. But to me, as a way to spend your personal time, it is the worst.

At least here there is some form of comradeship. As for Twitter, You can only “like” Elon Musk posts so many times ‘til the entire enterprise seems futile.

17 Hey Skip. I was very very late to join. The only one I did was Twitter/X. As I said before, it was fun during the election just to see what people were saying, but I find it weird that people post all the time there because they’re still posting the same crap they were posting 10 years years ago. In my opinion, you aren’t missing anything.

37 I hate "posse" in the urban-modern sense of "a group of companions, friends, and/or fellow thugs" because the original meaning had to do with local law: posse comitatus, the "power of the county." When "posse" was used in the Old West, it meant a band of citizens pursuing a lawbreaker. The modern meaning suggests the exact opposite, potential or actual lawlessness.

My beasts are thankfully sleeping, 9 yo lab and 16 mth Gordon Setter. They are a handful since Jules has been in ICU for 8 days, miss her and all the attention she gave them.

When bored the young-un Flash finds his own fun, like the 2 rolls of tp shredded all over. I was able to time things and keep them outside enough to wear them out.

Today J was off of sedation and the ventilator for the first time for a bit. Great progress, slow but I'm beyond happy.

56 CDC 7/2020

The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk” and the general population (“low-risk”. High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting. They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents.

157 My belief that modern progressive left had turned itself into a cult started in 2016.

All the signs were there before, starting with the cult of personality that was the Obama administration, but it didn’t really crystallize as an idea for me until Trump started winning primaries.

Literally, at the exact same time, all the MSM outlets from NYTimes, to MSNBC to WaPo, to every lefty site on the internet were spewing out the exact same fearmongering and hit pieces on Trump and anybody who supported him. Remember when mobs attacked Trump rally attendees in San Jose, CA, and the police just stood by and watched?

It was a coordinated hit-job I hadn’t seen since Sarah Palin only 100x stronger, 100x full field propaganda.

The left then developed every sign of cultism from purity tests, repeated nonsense slogans, to bubble-like us vs. them world views, to enforcing lock-step insane belief systems with ostracization and humiliation as punishment.

It’s a cult, and the most dedicated among them are going to have to be deprogrammed just like an ex-cult member.

A few rational voices are saying that Dems need to moderate and move back to the center if they ever want to win again; and yet these are always met by the trans activists screaming “you want to kill marginalized people!!!” and they seem to be winning. Here in Texas, the losing Dem party is signaling that it’s willing to jettison 5 million Hispanic voters in order to appease 500,000 LGBT voters.

The most important part of the building project will be completed before J20/2025 - the multi-million dollar wealth transfers to the politicians and grifters who parachute in to grab the service and handling fees.

It's an obvious "tell." It is well known that the farther down the ballot you go, the less people vote. I skipped my school board candidates because they're all likely to be idiots and if they pass a millage hike, I'll fight it at the ballot box.

So there is reason to think that less people vote for senate that president, but not that they would vote Dem for senate and not president.

I think this may be the moment when the rock gets turned over. Too many problems, too many states, and the issue is now "ripe" because of these problems and open defiance. There is concern about this on both sides, which will put the various election officials in the positing of arguing that there's nothing to see here and no public interest in finding how how votes are verified and tallied.

Plus, Trump DoJ will then take a second look when he is sworn in. I know people are upset, but this actually plays into our hands. We must simply be patient.

Politics is their religion. I think one of the big traps the West fell into was thinking there was a difference between the two. There isn't. One's faith informs one's politics and saying that religious figures have to stay out of it is an underhanded way of banning religion altogether. Laws that prevent campaigning from 'the pulpit' are unconstitutional. They were only implemented recently and are like the bans on prayer in school. Open defiance is required on a massive scale.

People warning of the entrenched bureaucracy have to understand that not everyone there is committed to fighting to the death. If the Secretary puts out a weekly bulletin pointing out which areas are faliing and suck, you bet people are going to get tired of it and leave.

It's basicaly the inverse of DEI, which enrages competent people and makes them go away. No one wants to come into work on Monday and see yet again how a new series of audits will be coming, and progress updates are due on the implementation of the new plan.

Previous cabinet secretaries weren't asked to do that. Trump's are and they are excited about it. You don't think RFK isn't going to absolutely giggle at lecturing his people week after week, mocking their junk science and telling them to do better.

Yeah, tons of sympathetic media stories, but that's just more joy to RFK's black heart.

Exactly.
After Regan & Bush the Dems realized that the trajectory they’d been on since the 70s was destroying their party. So they created the DLC and a relatively moderate Bill Clinton came out of that and won in 1992.

The modern Dems can’t do that, so they’re going to keep on keepin on until their influence is limited to megalopolises and college campuses.

They can’t change.
Because it’s a cult.
Cults don’t change or reform, they persist until they destroy themselves or are destroyed after their destructiveness has reached the endgame.
