Good Saturday morning Horde. Wasn't Tuesday a wonderful day?!?! The hard work will continue for President Elect Trump and Vice President Elect JD Vance. Please include these men and their families in your prayers. May God's will be done here on earth.

As many of you know I had the incredible task of hosting the ONT for a number of years. I'll be incorporating some of The ONT features into Saturday's Classical Coffee Break & Prayer Revival. I hope you enjoy. If not, please let me know with gift certificates to the St. Croix Rod Store.

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List
Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.
Prayer Requests:
10/7 – Piper requested prayers for her stepfather, who fell and broke his wrist. He will need surgery to put a plate in. He is in a lot of pain.
11/2 Update – Piper’s stepfather’s surgery went well and he is in PT.
10/12 – Just call me Bill asked for prayers for his 14 year old granddaughter. She is being evaluated by a rheumatologist and her mother is afraid she has lupus. Just call me Bill is asking for prayers for a better diagnosis.
10/16 – FeatherBlade posted a prayer request for his/her stepdad. He was having heart problems, went to the hospital, and they admitted him. He had a stent put in.
10/19 – Jewells said the CT scan showed growth of 3 tumors on her right lung. There are also new bone lesions on her spine, lower back, and ribcage, and fluid around both lungs which will need to be drained. Not great news, but expected after being off chemo since April.
10/26 Update – Jewells had an infusion on 10/17, and all the terrible side effects came back with a vengeance. That’s it. She’s done. NO MORE. She is looking into ivermectin and fenbendazole.
10/19 – mindful webworker asked for prayers for an elderly neighbor’s health, and strength and solace for his wife and family.
10/21 – J proposed a group prayer, on 10/29 at noon (Central) to ask God for an end to the corruption in DC and a return to the American values that made this country great.
10/23 – T gave an update that Vic, who used to do the morning report on Ace, has passed away. He had been in poor health for some time.
10/24 – buzzion asked for prayers for his friend Christina. She is dealing with a lot of struggles right now and could use the positive prayers.
10/24 – B requested prayers for a friend (age 43) who is having heart and lung problems. He had to take “the shot” for work, so B is concerned about what that might mean.
11/6 Update – The friend does have cancer. He was given less than 12 months to live. Prayers for his family (his wife and 4 daughters, ages 6 – 14) are very much appreciated.
10/25 – Mental Block requests prayers as his prostate cancer journey transitions from active surveillance to deciding between two treatment options: a prostatectomy or 6 weeks of radiation combined with hormone therapy. Treatment will begin by mid-December.
10/26 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her son, a recent college graduate who is looking for work. He was recently offered a job, but the hiring supervisor hasn’t yet worked out the funding for the position. If you could pray that rough places are made smooth, they would appreciate it. Thanks very much.
10/26 – Semi-anonymous requested prayers for D, who suffered one or two moderate strokes last month. He is ambulatory but has lost half of his vision and had to fight with his insurance company for weeks to get approved for in-home rehab, and for M, who is going in for surgery for the amputation of her lower leg due to a non-cancerous but highly invasive tumor.

10/26 – W sent the following prayer request, with apologies to General Patton –
“Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains election fraud with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle elections. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers American Citizens who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies the swamp, and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.”
10/26 – Teresa in Fort Worth asked for prayers. She got some troubling and totally unexpected medical news on 10/25, and is being referred to an oncologist to see where she goes from here. She said she is freaking out because this wasn’t even on the radar. It was found while being tested for something completely unrelated.
10/31 Update – Teresa got confirmation that it is malignant cancer. She will be meeting with doctors this week to start the battle against the cancer.
11/4 Update – Teresa received some good news from the oncologist. He thinks this cancer is treatable, and can be taken care of near her home. She will be doing chemotherapy for 3 months in order to shrink the tumor (no hair loss!), then the doctor will operate to remove the remainder of the tumor. The doctor doesn’t want to talk about long-term survival yet, but he does seem optimistic.
10/27 – Jim Sunk New Dawn posted an update. He was feeling poorly at the TxMoMe. Aviator (a neurosurgeon) and Nurse Ratched visited with him for a while, and the doctor gave him a “look over”. He insisted that Jim visit his local ER first thing on Monday. He did so, and was in the hospital until Thursday. Jim was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). He has a 3-5 year life expectancy. He appreciates a raft of Horde Prayers – y’all is the Best Horde EVER!
10/31 – Nan in AZ is thankful for all the prayers; she got good news from the cardiologist this week that after the heart attack and hospitalization in July, and 3 stents, the ejection fraction is back to normal and the external defibrillator has been discontinued. She has to follow up in 4 months, and will be able to resume full function and work, caring for her 84 year old mom. Good is good!
11/2 – FB asked for prayers for his friend, Jeff, who was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He started chemo this week. They’ve been friends for over 30 years; their daughters grew up together, and Jeff is the best fly fisherman FB ever met. Please pray that they can fish the spring steelhead run together.
11/2 - Farmer Bob requested prayers. His older sister is suffering, as her son with autism is hospitalized in a medically induced coma, fighting sepsis from a skin lesion. Her grandson, whom she has raised, has significant medical issues which required a liver transplant. His father has descended into the madness of radical transgenderism. Farmer Bob’ s younger sister is a substance abuser whose behavior has alienated her from the family. Please pray for them, too.
11/2 – J.J. Sefton posted that his latest MRI came back negative. It looks like he has a good shot at beating the odds and stats for glioblastoma. He sends his thanks for the prayers, and he sends prayers, too, for all those who are suffering.
11/2 – Stateless’ 88 year old mother, who had been doing well, has pain in her side after eating. If she lays down, it goes away. She has been treated for diverticulitis using antibiotics, but that has not helped. They are also trying changes to her diet: probiotics, yogurt, etc. They will bring her to ER for a CT scan if needed.
11/6 – Morgan, loyal lurker, is postponing his employment decisions until the new year. He asks that God reveal His will for him, and what direction He wants him to take. He also asks for blessings on Misanthropic Humanitarian for all his efforts on the ONT and his well-deserved retirement.

Map shows where condom shortages have hit the UK

Sexual Health Services in Somerset are facing a condom shortage due to supply issues in the Middle East.
Clinics have had to slash the number of condoms given to patients and those who request them on the Somerset-wide integrated Sexual Health Service website.
Clinics from Bridgwater to Taunton have reported shortages, with the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust saying they are ‘confident’ supplies will soon return back to normal.
A spokesperson said in a statement: ‘We are experiencing a short-term supply chain issue that means we are temporarily reducing the quantity of condoms supplied in the safe sex packs that can be requested by people.’

I think he can do a lot of that through executive action, such as refusing to appoint replacements and putting the departments under hiring freezes and reassigning people to distant offices. Some will require congressional approval, which will be tricky.

But he can also refuse to sign any appropriation that covers more than one dept., thus vetoing their budget, effectively zeroing them out.

It has always been possible to break the bureaucracy, it just required will and knowledge. Trump has both.

Trump killed with White Non-College Men and White Non-College Women, his two best cohorts. He also made gains with Hispanics, Asians and Blacks. But White Non-College is 35% of the electorate and was far and away the biggest driver for Trump's success.

White Non-College has been evicted from its historic home in the D party. The GOPe abhor them. But they're now the Center Pole in Trump's Big Tent.

55 Good morning all and MisHum. So.. retiring from the ONT huh? Sadly, I haven't been on there in months but you did a great job!

I'm starting on ivermectin this weekend. Just need to run to the vitamin shop to get some supplements. It can affect the liver so I'm getting milk thistle. Been reading good things about it. My doctor had no problem with me trying it and will continue to monitor me.

They cleaned up intestinal abscess and put a drain. Hopefully that works. They stopped one of my anti-rejection meds to give my body a better chance to fight the infection. I graduated from no food/drink to clear liquids. Hopefully I graduate to full liquids then real food soon.

I don't think he understood how DC works in his first term. And I don't think he was really comfortable using the full power of the executive. I know Trump is a bold executive in his business ventures but he had any number of people throwing roadblocks in his path during that first term and he didn't know the landscape well enough to trust his own instincts. Half of the Republicans were saying "oh no you can't do that! If the courts say stop you have to fold like a cheap umbrella". Unfortunately he was out of his own comfort zone and trusted people who were supposed to be on his side, not knowing that the uniparty doesn't give a shit about the country they allegedly serve.

The level of betrayal was epic and unprecedented. The Speaker of the House, who had preached this super-awesome budget for years just tore it up and then tanked his majority. Nothing like that ever happened before.

I just hope people calm down and are reasonable. Just having Trump there means we don't have to worry about firearms confiscations or churches being shut down. A lot of overzealous feds are going to find themselves under disciplinary action and/or prosecuted for abuse of power.

Well, it's like this. For 15 years we told the story with the obvious explanation of what happened and got no traction from anybody who could possibly do anything. A year and a half ago a stranger (Y.M.) who had purchased the property where we believe the murder took place heard the rumors from a neighbor and found our blog, which lays out the whole tale. He contacted us, gave permission for us to search. This simple interaction led to the K9 search a year ago October, and subsequent involvement of state and even federal LE agencies. Despite some missteps and setbacks, the investigation has its own momentum, and proceeds along multiple fronts, some of which I have not mentioned here.

We have learned to see God's hand in this sequence of events. We have learned to be grateful to Y.M. for getting the ball rolling. We have learned patience. We have earned vindication for endeavoring to persevere in telling Jack's story.

220 Wednesday morning I was realizing how much God loves his whole world, not just us, in leading Trump to be elected again. I want to yell at the drama queens (which of course would make me one too, heh) that it's not just about them and icky Trump and a woman being passed over. The things that have changed in world relations even over the past few days have been amazing.

Not saying this very well, and others have already said it better than me. But people who can't see this evidently don't care about the rest of the world, or realize that God does. That idea has really given me food for thought (and prayer) over the past few days.

But I do think there was a suspicious ballot drop and hope he pushes for a full investigation. One of my friends who is still "in the game" has gone completely dark, so I take that as a sign he's heavily engaged.

I know people like them. Specifically, my parents. They live in an alternate universe, fully realized, completely sealed from reality. Every interaction has a different meaning. The Dems are really good at sustaining this.

Trump's rallies were portrayed as disasters, and the Dem accounts only showed people leaving and pretended that they were pissed off. No, people leave after the rally. They don't live in the arena. Some leave early to avoid traffice, but all these people saw was disaffected Trump voters being turned off by hateful rhetoric.

And then there were the fake anecdotes and testimonials. Everyone knew Trump voters who had rejected him and turned to Harris. Republicans Against Trump spread these lies daily and they were gratefully believed.

A lot of these voters are old and unreachable. They will vote Dem till they die and then keep voting Dem until the rolls are cleaned up.

I do, too. It's sad English dropped the familiar tense. I think most people think itis formal because it's archaic, and I wonder if that confuses people theologically.

If you go into other languages that still have the formal/informal tense, it is informal, so really it's probably closer to "Dad" than "Father.

Amazing that Christ taught us to think of God as our actual father, intimate, close to us, rather than a distant divine figure like the false pagan gods. Also a contrast with Islam as well.

You are correct. The legislature passed a bill signing on to the NPV compact and there was a citizen initiative trying to overturn it (Prop 113), which failed on the ballot. I worked on the petition signature drive for that one. So a Yes vote on 113 was a No to joinning the NPV.

I was afraid of widespread fraud, but I also knew the Overton Window had moved in terms of there being a stigma against candidates who challenged results.

The fact that liberals are now calling foul removes a lot of public pressure, and drawn-out vote counts do not build confidence. We used to be a serious country that counted all the ballots on Election Day - and we did it by hand.

I think the insufferable election officials also make people less confident in the system.

It would be another 6 years before another HS was opened. Split sessions at the HS was the norm until then. Lots of kids to play with back then, for sure.

549 I decide how I am going to handle my church selection. I decided to follow Fen's advice and I am going to start with my local Methodist church. I'll give it a try, and see if they can give me what I am looking for.

I don't think I really need to care about the policies of the national church. I grew up listening to what my father had to deal with in church politics, so I can tune it out. It doesn't affect me.

If things don't work out, I can try something else, there are a lot of options local to me.

I have a prominent member of my family, when I was last at a reunion, right in the middle of some of the most heated stuff going on this year, he was clearly and obviously given a directive by his wife to avoid talking about politics.

Just wanted to let everyone know that watched me limp around in Texas I finally took Ben Had's advice and went to the Good Feet store on Thursday. The woman at the store spent almost an hour with me, most of which was a sales pitch touting the benefits, but then did measurements etc and fitted my shoe with stuff to correct my gait. Too soon to know if it will work and it is expensive, but as my son said, what good is money if you can't walk.

So how is this for messed up:

Pelosi et al got Kamela's OK to do the "withdraw or we we'll 25th you" when Biden had a health emergency, and then She or her team sent out the second letter cementing her claim on the candidacy.
Then she held onto it in the face of the Pelosi cabal by threatening them both with racism (see Kamala's tweet on it) and more important threatening to kick up a giant FEC stink over Biden's campaign cash.

I am so sorry for all on the list. Prayers are powerful for comfort and strength through the Holy Spirit. And these prayers are felt by those who request them.

I am also giddy from early Wednesday morning. Many prayers answered that day! I was prepared to simply live with God's will, but was thrilled out of my toddler mind of the results!

My going MIA was mostly due to a cross-country move from FL to the mountains in the beautiful West, where my husband and I met in college. FL and the Atlantic were beautiful, but we missed autumn our first year there. About 3yrs of remodel. This was in 2015 and I think I was still here at Ace's place til 2018 when our first grandchild was born. A Nana lobotomy and I fell so in love I did not post much til recently. Our granddaugher is 3yrs old and I can see again through baby and toddler fog of joy. We hope for more. Play with them weekly and love this role of our life! I am getting sappy and causing nausea, I know, but it is awesome to have the privilege to greet these little people into our lives.
