It only looks that way to contemporary eyes.

In this era, high-SES women were expected to - and did - dress like this at all times, barring a specific and unusual laborious chore. It was a thoroughly patriarchal era and women were essentially chattels. They had only two purposes, which were to be decorative and bear children. Nothing more.

This is an image not of the regal pomp of special occasions, but of female subjugation. "Sit there and be pretty and make babies and nothing more" is not something to be celebrated. Artworks such as this should be in a locked museum, used only as object lessons for instruction on the topic of the evils of patriarchy.

Yes, they do all resemble each other. And all three are remarkably attractive. Normally I prefer long hair on a woman, but the short-haired girl kind of reminds me of Nastassia Kinski when she did Cat People. I'd think the Meyers would have been very happy with this portrait.

They seem like the majority because of the Press, Hollywood, and Academia, but that is a hot air balloon; a big object with nothing to it. There are states out there that don't do election day. States like CA that's 100% mail in voting. Comparing to 2020 isn't the cleanest thing because CA wasn't universal vote by mail at the time, but it almost was.

Anyway, here's their final early vote numbers from 2020:

And the sample size was just a bit above 800, from an interview clip I caught. Iowa has about 1.2 million registered voters. Heck Harris County (Houston) had 1.2 million early voters this time all by itsownself.

No, polling is wildly imprecise even at the best of times.

The margin of error is a joke because it's the mathematically derived margin of error within one standard deviation...assuming the data is fine.

The data is never, ever fine. If you're modelling data to get it to "reflect the electorate" you're introducing giant margins of error that aren't reflected. It's the assumption that the process is normalization, but that process is not normalization.

Polling is stupid, and I want people to stop paying any attention to polling.

There is no reason for there to be both public polling and internal party/candidate polling. Polling is expensive and hard to do. There is tremendous redundancy in the polling landscape, which means one thing: at least one set of polling is useless.

If the public polls were good, the campaigns would use them. The campaigns, however, do *not* use public polls. They have shockingly expensive and sophisticated internal polling divisions, and keep the data produced by those polls a closely-guarded secret. Why go to the expense? Why spend hundreds of millions of dollars every four years just to duplicate what others are doing already?

Because they aren't duplicating it. The public polling is untrustworthy and bad, so they roll their own.

The existence of internal polling is all anyone needs to know about public polling.

2) The number of people that vote and their ideological perspective varies significantly by year.

So you might think you are trying to identify how many R voters from 2020 will vote D and vice versa but it is more important to identify what percentage of R voters will vote this year versus stay home and what percentage of D voters will vote this year versus stay home.

This is very, very hard to identify

Professor at UCLA--Tim Groseclose did a massive study of media bias and how it affects voting behavior and ideology. In his book, Left Turn, he found, "the general leftward bias of the media has shifted the PQ of the average American by about 20 points on a scale of 100, the difference between (i) the current political views of the average American and (ii) the political views of the average resident of Orange County, California or Salt Lake County, Utah.

For his excellent book and research, the guy is no longer at UCLA. He is in a named chair at George Mason in the Econ Dept.

They had search warrants for her house, car, phone, and computer, and were after her for an event from June 2017 in which she leaked an NSA document to an online magazine, the doc allegedly documenting Russian military hacking voting records in the last day before the Trump vs Clinton election.

So this alleged leak event was one month after Comey's firing, by Comey's FBI, in the midst of CNNs Russia Russia Russia assault on Trump. She was brainwashed and had an agenda. Her employer had two large TV screens on walls visible from her work cube, and ran FNC daily with sound turned on low, and she told the FBI she was bothered by the constant barrage of FNC.

They Live and Prince of Darkness were made as a part of an independent deal after the big failures of the early and mid 80s made Carpenter deeply bitter about everything.

The two are very, very angry films. At least Prince of Darkness is more about an exercise in craft and horror than anything else. They Live is supposed to have a point, it's stupid, and the third act is trash.
