My daily driver is a Toshiba Qosmio high end gaming laptop I purchased in 2014, running Windows 8.1, 32gig of Ram, two discreet 2TB solid state hard drives. I use it extensively for video editing as well. Began with two internal 500GB drives which have been cloned over the years to upgrade storage. No problems, no issues with stability over the years. External drives are used to back up critical folders and videos.
