I need to leave a bit early this a.m. for the electron mines. This weekend I washed the car, of course. But then the fog was so bad yesterday that the car stayed damp until the sun came out, and now the ruby red paint is covered in dry dust spots. A quick rinse at the DIY car wash should get the worst of it off.

56 - Was watching a few Carl Palmer (my all time greatest rock drummer) solos last night and came across an interview in which he was talking about a tour. The Welcome Back My Friends Tour.

Used footage (a dvd was made) from a concert in England back in the day. Also the audio had been recorded, each line individually. Each dressed up by digitizing and using AI.

The shows are him live, with Greg and Keith on either side on screen, with the sound mixed like a concert at each show.
2025 tour dates, at least so far, start in northeast, across Pennsylvania to as far west as Carmel, In.
Hope they add more. Carl, even at his age, can still bring it.

We face-timed with middle daughter and got a tour of their new place in MI. Very vintage, quite different from suburban TX, with a basement. The trees in the back yard are gorgeous right now- no wonder people travel to the Northeast to see them.

That was the fate of my previous HP laptop. Both hinges. When the second one broke the screen fell off and broke the video cable. I keep meaning to attach a monitor to the port and see if I can boot it up and get data off it.

99 Two things I've been meaning to mention to our insomniacs:
Grounding and weighted blankets.
There are legit medical studies on sleeping grounded to increase length of sleep.
From personal experience, I know I sleep more deeply with a weighted blanket, if not longer.
Both are slightly pricey aids* but might be worth exploring.

*If you have a sewing friend, weighted blankets are easy to make and can be personalized as to heaviness.
Much less expensive.
