Complete and total BS Posted by: LinusVanPelt at November 01, 2024 09:20 AM (6RwsA) == Nothing in early voting supports a Kamala surge. There is no enthusiasm in her voters. It all comes down to how well can the RNC, who appears a bit more competent this time, fight off the steal attempts. Even the typical silliness in Detroit in Michigan is being off set by the fact it isn't happening much of anywhere else in the state. The other thing - Harris has pulled almost all ads out of NC, and shifted them to Virginia. RCP has closed in NH and put Minnesota into a tossup. Does that sound like a Harris surge? I respect Atlas's work, but even they have blue wins inside the margin of error. Be positive, get your friends to vote. Say some prayers. Enjoy the weekend! We're told that Actaeon was trained by the centaur Chiron. Funny how Chiron seems to be the only civilized centaur in all mythology; the others were drunken louts and/or barbarians. Maybe it was because Chiron was the son of the Titan Cronus, and that he had human forelegs instead of horse legs.

Most of the Greek gods, and I guess the Roman too, were pretty capricious, without many more civilized qualities than a spoiled child. Zeus and Apoloo raped human women; Artemis turned a hapless guy (who accidentally blundered across her when she was naked) into a stag so that he fell prey to his own hounds. And Hera? Hell, Madame Pantsuit (aka Hillary) isn't even in it when it comes to spite and revenge on Zeus's luckless paramours.
Admittedly, some of the humans deserved being zapped. Who was it who served human flesh to the gods at a feast, arrogantly sure they would never realize? His curse traveled on down to his descendants too? Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at November 01, 2024 09:57 AM (J2vNu) 161

True story:
Me, my wife and 3 kids were walking a trail along a creek to a place that has a large flat rock in the middle of the creek called Meditation Rock. It’s a beautiful place. There is an old wooden staircase that goes down the 20 feet or so to the rock. My youngest son about 10 at the time went ahead of us. I show up a few minutes later and he is just standing there at the top of the stairs looking at the rock. I look down and there is this beautiful young woman buck naked on the rock. Unfortunately by the time I got there she was already putting on her clothes. Damn luck. Posted by: MAGA_Ken at November 01, 2024 10:07 AM (Vh9CX) 201

163 The mythological scene is secondary to the setting.
Posted by: Kris at November 01, 2024 09:56 AM (EwaUh) Why? Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo at November 01, 2024 09:58 AM (d9fT1) For me, I think it is because Corot was mainly a landscapist. When people do appear in his works, the setting still seems to dominate. While this scene has drama, and the ladies are beautiful and central, they are small and in the lower third of the painting. Two-thirds of the canvas is filled with nature and light. To me, that tree that is cutting through the center -- there's something about it that is visually attractive to me. I also really dig that large rockface in the center. It pushes everything to the front. It's a force in itself. To me, Diana may be a goddess, but this cliff dwarfs her. End Tribalism in Politics @EndTribalism 14h
Jake Tapper throws a tantrum on CNN about Trump saying he will let RFK Jr. go wild on health: “Just a reminder RFK Jr. has no medical license, and has made wildly inaccurate claims about all sorts of medicines including childhood vaccines.” “There aren’t even words to describe the hackery that is.” “Actual medical professionals are sounding the alarm about RFK Jr. playing any sort of roll in healthcare with this country.” Here’s a tip for journalists, just saying something is inaccurate doesn’t make something inaccurate. If you are going to attack somebody back it up with actual facts and also don’t hand pick a single video that is taken widely out of context as you know it is like he does here. Also, of course medical professionals are scared of RFK being put into a position of power, they’ve created the sickest country in the history of the world, and RFK is going to hold them accountable for it. Nothing in early voting supports a Kamala surge.

He doesn’t like to be challenged by them and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.” I’m happy to clarify that 1. I know many strong, intelligent women voting for Trump. Including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart , strong and intelligent. 2. I know he has worked with strong intelligent women, like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka and many others I stand by my opinion that he does not like being challenged publicly. Rolls-Royce has created a one-of-a-kind car in honor of the 60th anniversary of the James Bond movie “Goldfinger,” with bespoke gadgets that would be the envy of Q. Although Rolls-Royce cars have featured in a dozen James Bond films, the new Phantom Goldfinger is inspired by the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville, which played a pivotal role in the 1964 Sean Connery film and remains “an enduring muse” to the brand, according to the luxury British car company. For this new vehicle’s owner - and, spoiler alert, there is an owner already - it is gold-standard all the way. The project took three years to complete, said Rolls-Royce. The story of how he escaped capture is hilarious. At one point, he crawled under a big old plantation house and hid in the crawl space while a Federal Platoon, which had info that he was there, spent hours searching the property without finding him.

Georgia Receives 15 Percent Fewer Ballot Requests From Overseas Voters Than In 2020 Posted by: SMOD at November 01, 2024 10:53 AM (RHGPo) ======= I've read that this year it's a grand 15,000. So, 2020 would have been about 17,600. Assuming all were fraudulent, that's the gap in GA, but all weren't fraudulent. It seems like this whole thing is a possible avenue for cheating, but one that actually hasn't been taken advantage of at great numbers...yet. That it was caught before it could be used, highlighted and put a spotlight on it, is a positive, nevertheless.
