13 4 Pixie, what is the animation software that create the videos you present here? I know nothing about this genre but cannot imagine these are not machine generated images to match the speech?

I'm not sure what Dooby is using for her 3d work. She has an entire home studio set up to match her 3d set, and she can climb around inside that virtual train. She even has an electric car of some kind that she can ride on that is linked to a miniature 3d train on screen.

That's all pretty complicated though, not to mention expensive. Most vtubers use software called Live2d https://www.live2d.com/en/ or VTube Studio https://denchisoft.com/ since those don't require an elaborate setup. You just need a good webcam or smart phone to track your face and hands, and a 2d model that has been "rigged" to move the same way you do.

All of this is done live, which is why it's so popular. The streamer can be talking and responding to viewers while in their virtual character.

Not sure what the tech is these days, but two years ago, you had a "face rig" of some kind to motion-capture and software translated that into animation.

Think Gollum but with anime girls.

Posted by: pookysgirl, not sure what her preciousss anime would be at October 26, 2024 04:24 AM (dtlDP)

15 Yes, there's all sorts of levels to this, from plonking yourself at your desk with an iPhone in front of you, to Hololive's $20 million 3d studio.

The main difference to 3d motion tracking in movies is this is all (or at least mostly) done live.

YouTube can pick out copywritten works and when it does it issues a copyright violation against the channel. Get three of them and the channel gets banned is what I understand. All YouTube channels are hyper vigilant about this - no lawyers needed.

Trump has to meet a very high bar to rule as our most authoritarian President ever. If he sends an ethnic minority to internment camps, tries to pack the Court, and stays in office for four terms, he’ll still only be tied.

71 I have been reading the comments for the Trump/Rogan video. They are coming in from all over the world and they are remarkably and consistently favorable to President Trump. The MSM is having a collective headache about this. This video just eclipse their playing gatekeepers. This video seems to be something of a watershed moment in presidential politics and the media.

Posted by: Altaria Pilgram at October 26, 2024 05:43 AM (tPMOE)

72 Trump on Rogan is very good. They had to raise the alarms against Trump to millions of decibels just to stop people from hearing him or forming their own opinions about him. I watched it happen. Going back to 2015. I documented it here.

None of the traditional attacks worked, then the non-traditional attacks didn't work, then the really offensive impossible stuff didn't work, so then they quickly moved to what we've been experiencing for a decade which basically amounts to just constant screaming.

People mistake it as being because they "hate" Trump but it's really because they needed to shut him up. And by shut him up I mean color everything he says so people tune it out or get influenced not to listen. The guy is a force of nature.

Going on Rogan a week before the election is genius. I will keep saying that if he is allowed to win and I'm not sure he will be, they have something in the can so big and ridiculous and planned that it will be the only thing talked about every day just like Russia, then impeachment, then covid was. I don't know what it will be but I have my suspicions. They cannot let Trump assume power *and* control of any portion of narrative.

My boss let me go early yesterday, knowing that my route home comes close to the Stupordome where Taylor was to perform her first of three concerts last night. I hope it went well and nobody shot anybody.

I don't remember the TV networks' reaction to Reagan, since I paid no attention to "news" then. But I know magazines like Playboy certainly made fun of him, predicted he was going to spearhead a new "religious right" movement that would turn America into a theocracy, etc. Falwell's Moral Majority came in for target practice, and the editors at PB pretty much equated RR to the MM. (I can't believe I fell for it, some of it, back then.)

The Left's techniques are the same now, just amped up.

187 I am gonna be straight up honest, Greek food is not as good as Italian food. That is no great shame there are only a handful of great international cuisines. Some might quibble with my list but I did not make it. I do basically agree with it obviously. The great world cuisines are the ones people from other countries make an effort to eat on a regular basis. For example you might love Canadian food, but no one in Bangladesh is taking his date to a Canadian restaurant.

So the great world cuisines are Chinese, French, Italian, and Mexican. I expect blowback so I will throw in Japanese and Indian as also rans. If I had one thing throw in I like it would be Lebanese. Outside of that I think the list is tight.

I found most french food suffered from a overblown reputation. I highly prederred a good Wiener Schnitzel to anything french when I was stationed in europe.

This not blowback but an opinion. I highly recommend that you eat the food you like in the way you like it.

Are used to think when I first learned this list many years ago the Chinese was simple because it would just take out. It turns out that Chinese may be the most cuisine ever. The poor people never get it.

French went out of style back in the 1980s in America. From our founding to the 1980s, anyone would tell you that French was best. The world that surprised me on the list was Chinese, but the more I thought about it, was right.
