The Classical Saturday Morning Coffee Break & Prayer Revival

leaves and coffee.jpg

(H/T KT)

*****

Before we enter the Prayer Revival just a few housekeeping matters to attend to. (Rulz for those of you in Burnsville)

1) This is an open thread. Feel free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate away the morning.
2) Be kind, be nice. The trolls will meet a fitting end.
3) Running with sharp objects will be allowed but not encouraged.
4. Have a great weekend!

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:

9/27 – Joe Kidd would appreciate prayers for God’s tender mercies toward the soul of Joe’s older brother Mike, who passed away on 9/26 from stomach cancer. Prayers for comfort toward his widow Irene and adult son Michael are also appreciated.

9/27 – Coelacanth asked for prayers for his son. In the last year, his son has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and another connective tissue disorder that can be severely limiting, and his most recent job has a terribly toxic work environment. Despite this, the son has been pushing through. He has been praying, but feels that God has abandoned him. The Horde’s prayers helped this son the last time; please pray for him again.

9/28 – “Perfessor” Squirrel asked for prayers for a family of missionaries from his church, currently on their way to Kenya to begin training Kenyans on how to engage in Christian missionary work in Africa. The family includes the son-in-law, wife, and three small daughters of the pastor at the “Perfessor’s” church. Prayers for their safety and success in their missionary work are appreciated.

9/28 – J.J. Sefton offered prayers for safety and a return to normalcy ASAP for those in and around the area affected by Hurricane Helene.

9/28 – Tonypete requested prayers for his wife’s best buddy, Mike. Mike is on death’s door as a result of bone cancer.
10/7 – Mike is on hospice care and will be going on to his reward very soon.

9/28 – Tacitus asked for prayers at the start of a new job. It’s a big step up.

9/30 – It’s me donna asked for prayers for her daughter. She has to have her thyroid removed because of nodules. She is praying it’s not cancer.

10/5 – tbodie Lurker asked for prayers. During surgery for an ablation, they found an external source of afib on an outer wall of the heart. There will be a second procedure done soon.

10/7 – Piper requested prayers for her stepfather, who fell and broke his wrist. He will need surgery to put a plate in. He is in a lot of pain.

10/7 – NR Pax sent an update and thanks for the prayers – mother-in-law’s masses in her chest turned out to be non-cancerous.

10/7 – 496 asked for prayers for the people suffering from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 496 is on his third bout of pneumonia in a month, so he could use some prayers, too. His doctors have not figured out yet what is going on.

10/7 – Eromero posted a prayer. “Dear God, Please grant comfort to families suffering worry and despair over relatives missing after the hurricane damage. Give the searchers and rescuers sharp eyes and gentle hands, guide them to any victims’ location. Supply survivors with medical treatment and nourishment, place them in safe shelters. Return them to their loved ones. In Christ’s name. Amen.”

10/7 – Marcus T posted the good news that a family member’s cancer is gone. Marcus T’s cancer is gone, as well, so he says to never lose hope, He will show you the way.

10/7 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her church’s rummage sale, and that the township which has purchased land from the church would complete the transaction and pay for the land.

10/12 – Just call me Bill asked for prayers for his 14 year old granddaughter. She is being evaluated by a rheumatologist and her mother is afraid she has lupus. Just call me Bill is asking for prayers for a better diagnosis.

10/16 – FeatherBlade posted a prayer request for his/her stepdad. He was having heart problems, went to the hospital, and they admitted him. He had a stent put in.

10/19 – Jewells said the CT scan showed growth of 3 tumors on her right lung. There are also new bone lesions on her spine, lower back, and ribcage, and fluid around both lungs which will need to be drained. Not great news, but expected after being off chemo since April.

10/19 – mindful webworker asked for prayers for an elderly neighbor’s health, and strength and solace for his wife and family.

10/21 – J proposed a group prayer, on 10/29 at noon (Central) to ask God for an end to the corruption in DC and a return to the American values that made this country great.

10/23 – T gave an update that Vic, who used to do the morning report on Ace, has passed away. He had been in poor health for some time.

10/24 – buzzion asked for prayers for his friend Christina. She is dealing with a lot of struggles right now and could use the positive prayers.

10/24 – B requested prayers for a friend (age 43) who is having heart and lung problems. He had to take “the shot” for work, so B is concerned about what that might mean.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

11 Greetings one and all. Had a nice date with my wife last night. Went to see the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra perform "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Absolute blast except for trying to get out of the parking lot at the end of the show.

Regarding the remark from Alice Cooper in the previous thread: As musicians go, he's a very soft spoken and polite individual. From what I've been told, the way he acted in Wayne's World is pretty much his normal personality.

12 Back from shaving and cleaning up. I'm almost out of cologne; I've ordered some vintage English Leather from eBay, but I probably won't see it at my work mailbox until Tuesday. People are just gonna have to deal with me as I smell.

In a few minutes I'll leave to wash the car and then go straight to the barber and my other errands. Good thing I woke up earlier than I set the alarm for.

15 Reposting because I love this story about witch's spells bouncing off Trump:

"I hate to say this, but don't do magic against him. He has a form of protection surrounding him that feeds off of magic done against him. You will have better results if you focus your magic on helping his opponent or protecting yourself and others. I wish it would work to bind him or do a freezer spell, but you will only be helping him"

They also suggest throwing spells on his supporters. Which may explain why you may be feeling froggy this morning.

Exactly. Red Kammie's experience arguing cases in an actual courtroom was exceedingly thin.

Harmeet Dhillon related, however, how RK hankered to get moved up to robbery an homicide cases and -- get this -- the chief administrator position for the DA's office (or some such post) with that thin. thin experience base. 'Cause she was sucking Willie Brown's willie, donchano?

Witchcraft is real. Lots of chatter about it in Catholic media due to Halloween and what is appropriate decorations (skulls, graves, reminders of mortality) and what is not (gore, Mexican death cults).

I find it fascination how this has all come out into the open so profoundly. The UK banning silent prayer proves that it works and they are afraid of it. If it's just a bunch of losers mumbling to their Sky God, why would anyone bother to ban it?

My skin is a little sensitive, and the aftershave and lotion help in case I come close to irritation. And yes, I have a beard -- but it's the neatly trimmed Commander Riker style, and I have to shave the cheeks, the lower lip, and the throat below the sharp beard line.

Maybe after I retire I'll go to a Hans Gruber style beard and learn to shave my lower cheeks down to my throat. Or maybe not.

45 I think that if we look realistically at the election, it's a total disaster for the Dems. States previously seen as solid blue are now apparently in play.

Yet I know a lot of people are very anxious about the outcome, no doubt due to the disappointments of 2020 and 2022. Everyone fears the cheat.

However, I think those events happened for a reason. The disappointment of 2022 led me to a deeper, more fulfilling prayer life and my family as well. It also caused evil to become more brazen and bold, forcing people to pay attention. The way I see it, our country has become mired in wickedness and sin, and being Catholic, I don't believe that simply repenting is enough. There has to be redress as well, a penance for the harm caused.

So it may well happen that we're only getting started on the road, and with millions of dead children caused by our wanton pursuit of sexual license and pleasure, we can only agree that it is right and just.

Hmmm. That may explain a few things...

When I went to leave the house to go to the store, the doorknob came off in my hand.

I almost ran into a deer (6-pt buck) on my way to the store.

While at the store, one of the items I bought was cracked and leaked all over my hand.

67 Hmmm. That may explain a few things...

When I went to leave the house to go to the store, the doorknob came off in my hand.
I almost ran into a deer (6-pt buck) on my way to the store.
While at the store, one of the items I bought was cracked and leaked all over my hand.
When I got home, I discovered my cat had thrown up all over my desk (including on my mouse).
So...am I cursed today?

HILLARY CLINTON - FTW!
COLLINS: What do you think Kamala Harris has to do to avoid a repeat of 2016?

HILLARY CLINTON: Well first of all I don't think she has Jim Comey in the wings waiting to kneecap her, so that's good.

that is why the media is so full of crap when they push that republicans were underrepresented in the polls in 2016, intentionally ignoring what Comey did, yet implying that same underrepresentation in 2024 is a false flag. Our biggest challenge as it was for Hillary is the misrepresentations that are propagated by media pundits in the 24/7 news cycle.

The FCC was supposed to regulate and prevent such conglomeration. Each GOP administration turned such agencies on their heads, so that they worked for corporations instead of 'consumers'.

Hillary is a badass and a Democratic hero. Love it when she takes the gloves off. And watch Collins's face!

It broke my heart in 2016. Hillary would have been an outstanding president….such a loss for the nation when she lost the EC.

Straight Fire. Madam Secretary never fails to get to the heart of the issue and tell you like it is.

It's as real as anything else. There are different branches of it, from the more hipster Wicca crap to hard-core animal sacrifice and blood magic.

It very much works - no, people aren't turned to toads per se - but the souls of those who practice it are decisively turned away from God and into the service of demons, and this energy is spreading through a society that doesn't understand the implications of allowing it or using it.

Evil shifts its ground to suit society. In a secular materialist world, the smart play is to make witchcraft seem fun, feminist and generally harmless, so that it is tolerated. Christianity is then framed as stifling, conformist, joyless, patriarchal, and so women leave it.

And the devil reaps a rich harvest of souls. It's very real.

Sadly, the priests that speak openingly of this are far and few between here in the northeast. The “church” and religion has always been part of my life, and I have tried to serve it as best as I was capable. But that’s a lot different than your relationship with Jesus. I think once you gain perspective, look back, and realize it was the Lord who carried you across the battlefield of life, it changes things. You know longer need the vices, nor do you put stock in the things of this world. You finally gain peace knowing that all things come from Him, and without that you are lost and are, or were, incapable of achieving anything. IMVHO

He will consume what civilization has slowly produced after generations of selection and effort, but he will not be at pains to replace such goods, nor indeed has he a comprehension of the virtue that has brought them into being. Discipline seems to him irrational, on which account he is ever marvelling that civilization, should have offended him with priests and soldiers... In a word, the Barbarian is discoverable everywhere in this, that he cannot make: that he can befog and destroy but that he cannot sustain; and of every Barbarian in the decline or peril of every civilization exactly that has been true.

"We sit by and watch the barbarian. We tolerate him in the long stretches of peace, we are not afraid. We are tickled by his irreverence; his comic inversion of our old certitudes and our fixed creed refreshes us; we laugh. But as we laugh we are watched by large and awful faces from beyond, and on these faces there are no smiles." - Hilaire Belloc

128 The Truth is really at the root of all things. It’s why our Savior emphasized that so much. Very much a theme in the Old Testament, btw.

Think about the vices and diversions of contemporary life. Consumerism, media, pathos pleas used to try and destroy the traditional family and social mores proven to make our society better over time. They are all designed to do one thing- distract from the truth. To have a factual, truthful argument today is almost impossible. Fallacy is driven by pathos. Media is driven to distract and divert from verifiable truths. The internet has been corrupted, and is being used to push people away from the truth and towards cultish mendacity. Disagreement and dissent, the basis of truthful argumentation is not tolerated, and the forces of evil are trying to wipe it out. One has to ask themselves why only to find the answer.

Then the lethargy. I had been off it for 5 months but every side effect came back with a vengeance. That's it. I'm done. NO MORE. Looking into ivermectin and fenbendazole.

133 That's not witchcraft. It's just the same struggle about right and wrong and the rationalizations people use when they find that they've chosen poorly.

Witchcraft is a myth.

You're still blinded by a secular materialist view of the world, one that expect magic to manifest as an 8d6 fireball, save vs spell for half damage.

It's much more subtle than that. Witches are about rejecting God, creating an alternative morality based on sexual license and the pursuit of power and pleasure. The results of that are quite real, and their spells have convinced a great many women that abortion is the most essential "right" they ever posses, so much so that even silent prayer against it must be suppressed.

I'd argue that outright banning Christian prayer is a hell of a lot more powerful than casting a fireball.

I think that's a total misreading of what happened in Michigan. Like just about everyone else, the Church assumed the experts knew what they were doing, and made what was felt to be a prudent choice.

As the truth became clear, resistance within the Church increased and the leadership realized they'd been duped, which is why Whitmer's blasphemy was strongly denounced by the Michigan bishops and people went to her house and prayed the Rosary.

That reservoir of good will is gone.

It’s not easy. There is a lot of “letting go” that has to happen. As a person who is used to try and control the things around him I can tell you it was a journey. But it was perhaps one He wanted me to make. Because I’m stubborn, hard headed, obstinate and a driven type “A”. It takes a lot of prayer, commitment and contemplation. It takes a lot of discarding the past, often until you by rock bottom and find yourself on your knees. But it’s worth it because He will then build you up.

The actual scope of the steal was quite small, concentrated in five cities. With greater scrutiny and what appears to be a much larger lead, it will be harder to pull off this time.

I also think the reason these things are being found so early is that a lot of people who really believed Orange Man Bad now are terrified at the prospect of Harris winning.

There's also a new calculus in terms of getting caught. We now know that Bill Barr saw his job as protecting the FBI, not investigating it. So even if Trump had won, the DoJ would have tried to prevent any investigation or prosecution. That is no longer the case. Trump will clean house and people will do hard time if caught.

The WaPo and the LA Times have both declined to endorse her. That's going to demoralize the base and make independents that favor her reconsider. Her campaign was built as a referendum on Trump. She offered no serious policy changes, couldn't answer a question about anything other than abortion, and there are reports that swing state senators and congresscritters are being told to run against Biden Harris.

The big polling firms have been lying about how close it is and will do a final correction so that they don't look stupid, just as they always do.

200 Evil is often driven by an overzealous, untamable, irrational, driven impulse. You’re seeing it now in this election. There is a lot of pathos driven actions. That said, with all the people watching we will have a very good chance to identify and punish election fraud. They’ve been caught with fraudulent registrations, mail in ballots with real names but phony addresses that are duplicates, and they are being stopped from accepting ballots sent after Election Day. There are a lot of positives, including the fact that if Trump wins more will be exposed and stopped. Most people, not including many Democrats and the media, will accept that. People may care about losing, but they despise losing when it has been achieved in a dishonest and fraudulent way.

202 The FBI kept files on MLK because he was the willing accomplice of the CPUSA, an organization that operated at the whim of the Soviets. It's at the very least inconsistent to believe that McCarthy was correct in believing that there was a great deal of communist infiltration in government and media without understanding that J. Edgar Hoover was also interested in understanding who they were. Like MLK and many of the people and organizations that used his racial grievance to further their pursuit of political power.

DOCTOR Jill hates Kamala, and she has been undermining her at every turn. Harris tries the Nazi quote thing, saying Trump will lock people up, but before she can get to the podium, Joe says he wants to arrest Trump and throw him in jail RIGHT NOW.

Same with the hurricane. Harris trashes Desantis and then Biden goes and says he's doing a great job, no complaints.

She’s supposed to give some “closing argument” on the Capitol Mall that day, and after that she’ll show up at a couple concerts by leftie musicians like Springsteen. Which will mostly consist of them performing and her walking out, waving, and the going back stage. Real high intensity stuff, I tell ya.
What’s she going to say in her speech? Rest assured, anyone here today already knows it by heart and could write it far more coherently than she will be able to do.

I don't know that I would call it wrapping things up but she is scheduled to give her big final closing argument speech on Tuesday on the National Mall.

I do think she like everyone else can see the handwriting on the wall. She has zero momentum, she's not even getting the standard Democrat newspaper endorsements and she's getting battered in early voting including places like Nevada. I don't want to jump the gun or get overconfident but I'm struggling to see a path for her to win and I'm sure her campaign has better, or worse as the case may be, internal polling than we are seeing.

Tuesday she is supposed to make a speech - her closing argument for the election according to the MSM - in DC at the same location as Trump's January 6th rally. I expect it will be TrumpHitler, TrumpHitler, January 6th, TrumpHitler, January 6th, January 6th, January 6th, TrumpHitler, TrumpHitler. Plus some abortion, abortion, abortion, of course.

She's doing it a week out from the election to try to influence remaining probable early voters, and for anti-Trump soundbites for new ads and for the MSM to run non-stop for 7 days.

213 Mark Steyn had an unpleasant article yesterday that unfortunately feels true.

He made two points:

Calling Trump literally Hitler, with Kamala Harris explicitly stating that Trump is bad as the guy who killed six million Jews, is not an electoral argument.

Kamala has basically conceded the election, and is now preparing the public for the Democrats' refusal to turn over power to Trump.

After all, you don't cede power to Adolph Hitler - look what happened to Germany when the Germans did that.

Also, Judge Merchan (remember him?) still has a sentencing hearing for Trump at the end of November. (Steyn says the hearing is a week after Election Day, but I think he's wrong about that.)

It seems quite possible that this vindictive "judge" may order Trump to be imprisoned in Rikers, even if Trump has been elected President.

The solution to Steyn's arguments, of course, is to have Trump win by as large a margin as possible (including a victory in the popular vote), to make these shenanigans look as illegitimate as possible. That matters.

214 I hate to give advice but will just put this out there. There are a few things that helped with bone pain from chemo (after the steroids stop). Vitamin B6 twice a day 1-2 mg total. B12 500 mcg twice a day. Fresh water (through a good filter like Lifestraw) or certain spring waters (one liter a day minimum). Also fresh salmon (not farmed hopefully Alaska) coho or sockeye a few times every week. It’s the best way for your body to absorb those nutrients and vitamins. YMMV.

221 45 I think that if we look realistically at the election, it's a total disaster for the Dems.

227 Having investigated and interacted with the Paranormal for over 30 years, I'm a big fan of Halloween and Massachusetts is the place to be for the autumnal holidays: Halloween (Salem) and Thanksgiving (Plymouth) leading the way.

By the way, congratulations to Salem for being named the Number One Halloween town, and Salem is interesting in that it has a strong Wiccan community, a vampire sub culture, and then there are the Weres.

This is a group which uses everything from ritual to chaos to sex magic to transform their forms, and while many of you may be dismissive, there does appear to be a goodly amount of evidence that people can assume animal forms. We know this from the Native cultures like the Navajo with their yee naaldlooshii or Skin Walkers.

In the Four Corners area, Skinwalkers are a real concern and there is a recent book by a Navajo ranger called: The Paranormal Ranger: A chilling memoir of investigations into the paranormal in Navajoland, which will be an eye opening experience for many of you.

I've heard the two rangers: Stanley Milford and Jonathan Dover,
and they are the real deal. Check them out on YouTube or on Podcaasts.

The James Madison and Dave in Fla have been watching the polls and giving very useful insights. To give a very abbreviated summary, the greatest weakness in polling today is that all pollsters run their raw results through a calculated formula which predicts the general makeup of the voters (R, D, I and likely/not likely). If these assumptions are wrong, the ill results are worthless and could be off by 10 or 20 points in any direction.

Early returns so far are showing voter makeup that is nothing like what had been assumed til now. You don’t have to predict an outcome to say with certainty that Polling as an industry a is broken, and results this year are little more than dart throwing. The pollsters who are realizing this have settled on calling it 50/50 because that’s the easiest way to hedge their bets - but they have no idea where this is going.

Posted by: Tom Servo at October 26, 2024 10:05 AM (S6gqv)

238 I think trying to imprison Trump is probably the worst decision, in a long line of terrible decisions by Democrats. People already feel that Democrats are undermining the rule of law, the justice system and our Bill of Rights. A decision such as that may be the final straw that breaks many people’s back. They are already potentially facing an extinction level event as a party. Even so, they continue to push this line of attack. They have furthermore gone to stating that if they win the House, they will do everything to stop the agenda Trump will win on. Hence the blatant attempts already to try and steal the House seats in California. This can only be seen as what it is, “if we don’t keep power, we will break everything possible and turn to chaos”. God help us if they succeed.

243 >>The solution to Steyn's arguments, of course, is to have Trump win by as large a margin as possible (including a victory in the popular vote), to make these shenanigans look as illegitimate as possible. That matters.

The solution might be a bit simpler. I don't know how many have seen it but the appeals hearing proceedings were published online a few weeks ago and let's just day it did not go well for Bragg. The judges were extremely dubious of the charges brought against Trump and asked if there had been any precedent for these types of charges, exactly who was damaged by Trump since it sure as hell wasn't the banks and a series of other issues where they case extreme doubt on the entire case.

I don't think the appeals judges are big Trump supporters but I do think they are worried that a clown case like this one completely untethered from the law and reality is a dangerous precedent to establish for the business community in NYC. And if Trump wins big they might decide the path of least resistance is just to put an end to this farce.

What he doesn’t see is that any attempt to pull a Maduro/Venezuela solution will lead to the fast breakup of the country. Suppose DC refuses to certify Trump - well Texas and Florida will recognize him almost immediately, to be joined by at least 2/3 of the states. So then there would be two competing American governments competing for legitimacy; how far into civil conflict do they think they can push this? Because they purport to be scientific, polls have a blind spot when it comes to predicting turnout by voters who didn't vote the last time. White Non-College is 35% of the electorate but have had poor turnout because the Ds no longer want them and the GOPe abhor them.

Trump's legacy will be to change this. I'm looking forward to a reborn GOP that Puts America First.

279 Another important factor in any potential post election civil conflict - we here know history, and know that in similar situations through time, confident and decisive leadership is what usually ends up deciding the engagement.

290 Easy to see why many are underwhelmed by Israel's operation last night. It didn't help that there was a steady trickle of senior Israeli official chatter about a "very powerful response" to Iran's earlier missile attack.

But it's mostly a question of expectations, details, and emotions - and some unknown unknowns. It appears that the Israeli operation was a pretty powerful hit against air defenses, and select high-value military-industrial targets of direct relevance to Israel (long range missile and drone development and production).

And whatever the expectation/perception situation, it clearly has strategery behind it. Iran was left shorn of much of its air defenses, even as Israel demo'd (again) that it can strike anywhere in Iran it chooses. Valuable assets directly relevant to the war on Israel were hit.

So now Tehran can "retaliate" - and face more destruction of valuable assets - or play down the results/claim a defensive victory (this is the tone, so far), and validate perception of regional players that Israel now has the initiative and the upper hand.

Syrian and Iraqi airspace was used, no need for Jordan's. Hamas launched a war of annihilation and is getting what they asked for. I do not follow the situation and I will be honest, while I generally pray for peace, I think the issue of Israel must finally be settled at sword point for good.

These endless cease-fires, brushfire conflict, terror strikes have to end in a decisive military victory. Nothing else will work. Trump will push Iran back into its corner, and that will lead to a true realization of how things are in the Middle East.

331 Franpsycho, it's reasonable to step back and look at this and see the larger game. In that one, Iran is racking up loss after loss.

Israel has been dismantling Iran's most important assets - which are not in Iran. Their key proxies, and long-perceived trump cards deterring Israeli attack, Hamas but especially Hezbollah. This continues (real concern if any, to me, should focus on Israel settling for less than a decisive and comprehensive destruction of Hezbollah).

Iran's credibility and perceived power have already been greatly reduced. Last night much of their air defense was eliminated (and shown to be helpless against Israel), and key offensive assets damaged.

Now Tehran can either "retaliate" - with a good chance their attack will further demonstrate their inferiority, as the earlier mass attack did - and surely face severe Israeli action against which they are helpless. Or they can dismiss the results of the Israeli operation (as they are right now) and take another L and not respond.

Yeah - the great achievement of the postwar international system is that a nuke hasn't been detonated in anger in eighty years.

But, also becuz Harris is such a suckhole of fail, she didn't want to damage her reputation with fans, so a short ho-dee-do! and she was out.

If Harris was really winning or even close, Beyonce probably would've done a quick 15-20 minute set at the least.

358 No cold peace and no nukes. Neither on the menu.

As noted the key thing now is how thorough Israel will be in Lebanon. Anything short of complete destruction and/or dismantlement of Hezb would be criminally negligent, as it would just be guaranteeing future pain.

But as in the past, seems there is a spectacular under-appreciation of how key myths and perceptions and mind-prisons have been obliterated (just as in 1991 and 2003).

Iran's vital proxy (Hezb) has been shattered and the feared mass destruction in Israel averted, the key psychological line of direct attack on Iran has been erased, and Israeli superiority and seizure of the initiative clear to all.

Lot of guys, and a lot of guys who are not being well served by the industrial education, industrial media, industrial food and medicine, and industrial "lifestyle" being pushed.

One of the things a culture is supposed to do is to give an OJT position to young men as they learn how to be part of society. What that has become now is to exclude them as threats instead, and force them into permanent subservient roles. Rogan and a few others seem to be reluctantly giving young men back tools and encouragement to start learning on their own.

393 A.H. Lloyd, there are two ways of looking at this, one is that Hamas tried to start a pogrom, that would build on each atrocity bringing in new supporters with success, finally driving the Israelis out, or breaking the Israeli government which has shown indications of admitting Hamas' grievances were valid.

The second is that Hamas tried to push a sort of "Sepoy Rebellion" bringing in all the elements against the Israeli and their allies through a grand coalition of grievance partners - and there is indications that Hamas was doing this inside Israel as well as in neighboring countries.

The third was that it was a paid for and arranged demonstration that was supposed to capture US military personnel in Israel as a way to both draw the US into close involvement in Israel and neuter any response just like the Iranian seizure of the US Embassy all those years ago. This would also serve the Neocon strategy of building up countering influences in a region, and then kicking the new allies in the crotch when they got big enough to risk being strong enough to be the local regional power in turn.

The third option requires trials, convictions and hangings.

The study looked at the top 100 grossing films of 2013 and found that Latinas fare best in the “scantily clad or naked” category.

The study broke down the percentage of the population each ethnicity (blacks, Caucasians, Latinos, and Asians) accounts for and compared that to the amount of on-camera performances and flesh-baring performances.

Science is kinda hot.

410 Last minute prayer request from my sister:
Her ex crashed his motorcycle a few days ago and has various injuries, including a slight brain bleed and a cracked vertebra. Prayers for M would be most appreciated.
Thank you!

414 Dr Pork Chops, ha! Well, apparently one thing not spared was the brand-new solid rocket fuel production facility at Parchin. It's air defense was taken out, then it was hit. Of course damage assessment unavailable.

----------

Assessment shouldn't have been too hard for rocket fuel factory. The results of a good hit would be hard to miss.

417 The food rationing, the military checkpoints, the 2 AM arrests, the corvee labor, and having to live in slum housing is all worth it, so long as we have free and unlimited abortions!

I am reminded of the Soviet film from 1988. "Little Vera"

Class warfare distilled to its essence.

Democrats' main goal is to subvert and destroy the "middle class" by making everyone except the ultra-rich poor. Pair that with baby murder and you have one hell of a Party.

Their cynicism and hate shines through their tactics like a second sun.

422 Can't imagine Harris doing an interview like Rogan's she would walk out within 5 minutes.
Posted by: Jukin the Deplorable a Clear and Present Danger at October 26, 2024 11:

I said that was a non starter as soon as her campaign floated the notion. She doesn't do unscripted interviews, and she can't speak at length about anything. Rogan does long form interviews only, and never scripts them. That was never going to happen.

He's the biggest podcaster in the world. I can't believe nobody on her staff knew this proposal would be impossible, but there you have it.

And then, Trump swooped in and did the interview instead, because of course he did. Another retarded backfire by this campaign.

426 Neither. It's called a belief in the second greatest gift that God gave each of us: Free will.

All of us have been given the power of choice on everything thing we do. No one but God has power over us.

The influences come from outside, we do not have two separate spirits. Other people, culture, material wealth, all have influence, power if you will, over all these choices. It's not a little voice, angelic or demonic, in your head, it's all external influence designed to get the one you to make an expedient or profitable ( monetarily, sexually, socially, etc) choice.

He did mention that his style is to just try to have a conversation with her, not grill her or anything. Just talk as people.

I don't know if HE would last five minutes with her. He can ramble about anything, but she rambles about nothing, which is very disorienting.

The news that Kamala, the green new deal queen, has broken the world record for shortest flight... taking one from Andrews Air Force base to Reagan, only three miles... sounds too ridiculous to be true. But I get it, that beltway traffic is murder! I'm sure everyone there wishes they could take a plane to work.
