One family who has taken more than their fair share of abuse from the left over the years is the Cheneys. Dick Cheney, specifically, has been praised for his endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris despite being a lifelong Republican. Apparently, this was enough for the Democrats to forget how they referred to him as a “genocidal war criminal” for his bullish position on the Iraq war during former President George Bush’s administration. Why isn't this Know-It-All Nanny cleaning asses and changing diapers first? But we need supervised toothbrushing.

Thousands of Brits end up in hospital every year due to the highly contagious virus, which usually results in nasty bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea. Globally, it causes about 200,000 deaths annually – a quarter of which are children. Adam Kinzinger joins a Missouri Democrat for a range day, reporter covering the event gets hit by bullet fragments Thankfully, no one was hurt when beta politicians decided to cosplay with guns, which is quite a miracle when you really understand what a day at the range looks like with people like Adam Kinzinger and Senate candidate Lucas Kunce running the show. (Kunce is the Missouri Democrat challenging Josh Hawley in this year’s election.) Take a look at the images below, shared to X by Kunce: Brock Throckmorton will not allow you to park any EVs on his property. He also will forbid an EB docking up in his 1%er private marina. Jennifer Lund, 38, and Timothy Parks, 45, are each facing charges including assault, battery, and stalking after an incident with three men that resulted in one of them firing a gun. Had the description been confident older male wearing khakis and a polo resembling a Sr. G-Man Agent, then I know who would have been the butter thief. Approximately 7:45 p.m. October 12, two males separately entered a business on Speedvale Avenue East before meeting up inside. They placed a number of items in a cart – including three cases of butter with a value of $936 – and left out a receiving door. They were both described as brown-skinned males, approximately 40 years of age and 5’7” with medium builds. One was wearing a dark sleeveless vest and a blue and white baseball cap, and the second was wearing a dark winter coat and red baseball cap. They were seen leaving in a white four-door sedan. Four days later, two males separately entered a business on Eramosa Road before meeting up inside. They placed in a cart four cases of butter with a value of $958 and left through an emergency exit. But, you know, it's one of the bugs where you can just run out the clock? I had an interesting conversation today with a friend whose husband works at a factory in Illinois. They got a visit today from Biden's Secretary of Labor, supposedly to take credit for saving the workers' pensions but mainly to drum up support for Harris.
The organizers passed out signs, gave the employees indications when to applaud during Madam Secretary's speech....and the workers all put the signs on the floor and refused to clap whatsoever. One guy was heard to mutter "Bullsh*t" when she went on about how pro-worker Biden and Harris were. Supposedly, a lot of the workers were threatening to wear their MAGA hats to the "rally" ahead of time, though I gather they didn't go that far. if it's going around and you don't feel sick yet, you can TRY grape juice. it alters the acidity of your gastro system and prevents the bug from replicating. when it works, it's awesome! (Liaison- Yup, just saw that on DU. They'll be breathless about it tomorrow, I'm sure. Of course, even the article they linked identified it as probably false) Veteran political journalist Mark Halperin, who was among the first to report that President Biden would withdraw from the race in July, revealed on Tuesday that there is a "certain story" that has been pitched to major news outlets that — if true — could derail Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign in its final days. Speaking on his "Morning Meeting" show on YouTube, Halperin shared that although he does not believe the story is accurate, its impact—if it were—would be the October Surprise the political media has been waiting for. "I know of one story... I don't believe it is true. But if it's true, it would end Donald Trump's campaign," Halperin said, adding that he's aware of various efforts to influence the race's outcome with less than two weeks until Election Day. Lol...even some at DU are suspicious. I hope the take the bait, hype it up, and then video of Walz or Biden surfaces. Hell, Biden gropes little girls all the time!!!
If an adult gropes a child he gets arrested in the real world. As he should be. This story may be bait. Dems better not touch it. Let media and LE look into it. it smells like a Karl Rove stunt to me. There is, at present, zero evidence that it's real. "I have been told" is evidence of nothing. Pushing this with zero evidence is irresponsible. I disagree, if it's real, we need to make sure adults everywhere knows what happens if they grope minors. When Charlie Kirk says it is an Ai then there is a video. Newspapers held onto it for week for what? Probably to check its authenticity. I think it’s real. He has already bragged...yes...BRAGGED about ogling little girls when he had the junior Miss contests and about grabbing women by the pussy so a grop of a minor is far from a stretch to buy. Add how fucking creepy and weird he has always been about his own daughter and we are just about a half breath away from surety. Waiting to see what shoe drops. This afternoon, I was alerted to another High speed Pursuit coming out of the San Fernando Valley and heading north up the I-5 at speeds which reached 130 mph at times and CHP pulling back for safety. The chase was a stolen vehicle with a woman driver and it stretched all the way over the Grapevine but as soon as she got over the pass, she turned around and went back south. She got far along until she spotted a spike strip (unconfirmed) which caused her to veer across 4 lanes of freeway in an attempt to take a transition ramp and she lost it and head on speared a guardrail at 100 mph and and rolled into a freeway pillar. The Helicopter view showed the first CHP officer jumping out of his unit running towards the wreak but jumping to the side as he saw what was to be her lower torso in a pile on the roadway. No guns were drawn at this scene

So the holder of a KCBE is some useless wanker who commands ... well, somebody ... in an organization that no longer exists.

MisHum, re the Manassas video of "It Doesn't Matter" -
Manassas was a little before my time. I'm only familiar with Firefall's 1976 cover of this song https://tinyurl.com/3x3k6b7n Firefall's lead vocalist, Rick Roberts, co-wrote the song with Stills and Chris Hillman. I don't believe Roberts was ever a member of Manassas. There was quite a lot of rock-country music made in LA in the mid-Seventies, with Hillman, Furay, Souther, and other name talent and session musicians writing songs, forming short-lived bands, and recording and touring with each other. And there were the Eagles. And before them the Flying Burrito Brothers. Somehow I never discovered Manassas and I need to give them a listen. If I hadn't gone to college in Tucson in the mid-late Seventies I may never have heard any of the 70s LA rock-country music other than the Eagles. The other bands got a lot of air-play on Tuscon album rock FM stations, helped by Linda Ronstadt being from Tucson. Just a minute, it might be a minute place but the minuteness of Minot is not in dispute, and it's logged in the meeting's minutes.
Posted by: Ciampino - a minor minority of miners at October 23, 2024 11:04 PM (i0xsb) ________________ Fun fact (I think): "Minute" as a unit of time was originally pronounced "mi-noot," which makes sense. As time-keeping became more precise, the need arose for a smaller unit, which became known as the "second mi-noot," later abbreviated to the "second." Now this could all be horseshit, but I have read such from sources that were not obviously satirical. Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at October 23, 2024 11:08 PM (YqDXo) 249

You know what? I have mixed feelings about that. Stalin didn't give a shit about Russian lives, obviously. Americans, OTOH, did. Fighting the Soviets for Eastern Europe (not to mention Berlin) would have resulted in enormous American casualties.
Let me make sure I have the schedule right. V.E. Day 5/8/1945 V.E. '44, rearmed the Germans, and headed east. Honestly, how much worse could Europe be today than it presently is if we had done so? Today, England is a soft totalitarian state that is actively trying to interfere in our election - directly and in the open - and wants the next administration to crush X (Twitter) and this free speech. Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara Werner is always happy to receive compliments. You seem, however, to be wedded to the idea that my posts are intended to be taken in a serious manner. As far as stupid and incoherent, google up Paul F. Tompkins' magnificent imitation of Herzog and his film commentary. And the stupid part worries Werner, such that he feels saddened that you have not ready Swift's "A Modest Proposal," anything from Hunter S. Thompson, or even once viewed Monty Python. There is a great bit about a rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail that perfectly embodies what I'm looking to bring here. The ONT is a thread for discussions, gossip, occasional airing of political views, and more than a little frivolity. The late Dave In Texas embodied that in ONT posts that have become treasured humorous exploits against the politically or humorously challenged. There was later Erg vs. The Volcano, which was one of the highlights of the second decade of the blog. It worries Werner that you might apply the same condemnations to them, for that would be most sad. Posted by: Werner Herzog Has Opinions at October 24, 2024 12:59 AM (egn/x) 420

An immediate attack into the USSR in 45 would have gone pretty well for the Allies, I suspect, with or without Germans..no A bombs yet, we had ALL the strategic bombers, we would have cut off all the supplies that allowed the USSR to spend all their resources on making weapons, our planes were.better, later the 76mm Sherman did just fine against the T-34\85 in Korea and we had many Thunderbolts and Typhoons to decimate Soviet armour..would have been a HARD sell at home though after years of "Russian allies" and the general desire to finish with war and go home.

----------- Venona As an aside, I live in a house that was owned by Cecil Philips' uncle. Cecil's mother operated a gift shop nearby. His story is pretty damned amazing. At 18, he was rejected by the Army, for flat feet. An Lt. at the recruiting station suggested that he might fit in with the SIS. Off he went to Arlington Hall, and the rest is history. Tonight, among other adventures, I've been on arctic expeditions, watched B2 crashes, seen a cowboy cook make breakfast tacos, and heard tales of wolfman/dog-man monsters spooking people here in Oklahoma and elsewhere. And MiladyJo and I raised a glass, and another, to the late, great Mr. Victor Lee Smith. What will tomorrow bring? Gotta go time-jump to the morning to find out. See you there.

Posted by: scampydog -------- Things are still a mess, and will be for a long time. But we now have water (for certain values of 'water'), but brown and nasty, can't be consumed, but works gloriously for flushing the commode. Hard to tell if one comes out of a shower cleaner, or nastier. Lots of donated food still being handed out to people lined up, same with potable water. Most impressive are the volunteer organizations from all over the nation who have trooped in and are doing yeoman work. I've got great stories I could tell about volunteers traveling here to help. They tell me that FEMA is out there somewhere. Haven't encountered them myself. I just moved from the UK after living there a decade. It went from a dynamic place to operate a tech/media company to a Labour loving anti-Semitic craphole. It got to the point where driving on a beautiful country road became a nightmare beyond belief. I could go on and on but the point of this post is maybe someone should teach the population about dental hygiene. I cannot tell you how many adults I have met that have never flossed their teeth, NEVER! These are not people with coffee bean colored teeth (the ones they have left), I’m talking people with normal looking teeth. Now British Kardashian types go to Turkey to get the most horrible looking veneers (they’re even called Turkey Teeth). The upper classes still have their yellowing gray hair, gin blossom red skin, and misbegotten yellow fangs placed in a haphazard order in their mouths. They look down on the Turkey Teeth set but I honestly don’t know which is worse. That country would be so doomed if there weren’t pockets of really rational people like Douglas Murray and Brendon O'Neil. Just about any London cabby knows more about what’s going on in the world than any member of Parliament or Congress, for that matter.
