Evening and morning to all the far-flung outposts of the AoSHQ Empire, and the survivors of the TXMoMe! I'm taking it easy this am after a solid workout yesterday, and with an avowed plan to walk around the park at lunchtime today. If it's not hot. Or too crowded. Or . . .
Anyway! Remember always that compared to being on the wrong side of the ground, even a bad Monday is pretty small kumquats, nicht wahr? Cuba depends on imports to feed its largely obsolete, oil-fired power plants. Fuel deliveries to the island have dropped significantly this year as Venezuela, Russia and Mexico, once important suppliers, have slashed their exports to Cuba. Nothing to do with having no money to pay for the oil, no siree. Or your most productive people hightailing it out of the country. Posted by: Civic Classifier at October 21, 2024 05:31 AM (MwtZ5) 38
Cuba doesn't have money to buy fuel and doesn't have knowledge of how to maintain plants even if they have fuel. Like California, I bet they haven't built new generating capacity in decades.

Meanwhile, in Michigan:
----- Disclose.tv @disclosetv · Follow NEW - 500,000 more people are registered to vote in Michigan, than those old enough to vote. Democrat officials say they'll purge over 600,000 "inactive voters" after this election. Cuba also blames the U.S. trade embargo, as well as sanctions instituted by then-President Donald Trump, for ongoing difficulties in acquiring fuel and spare parts to operate and maintain its oil-fired plants. The word 'embargo' is obligatory, as if they can't buy anything they want from China. The word 'Trump' is also obligatory, because. Posted by: Civic Classifier at October 21, 2024 05:45 AM (MwtZ5) 42
Speaking of new electrical generating plants, some other states are also behind the times. New York says they are on schedule to make all trucks EV's by 2029. No new power plants in years and shut down one of the nuclear plants. No new charging stations for the new EV 18 wheeler which have a range of about 200 miles vs. 600 miles for a diesel. Plus the average 5 hour recharging time along the way. Something doesn't compute.

There are two Tucker Carlson videos on YouTube in which the pathetic backstory of Red Kammie was divulged in detail.
