I've mentioned this before... the museum of the city of New York is a museum entirely devoted to NYC history. Really great museum. They have a video to sum up the city's history, narrated by Stanley Tucci.
They do mention the decline of the city in the 60s and 70s, and the increase of violence. When they get to the Giuliani years... nothing about how he led a crackdown on crime. Nothing on his legacy and how he helped clean up the city and saved it from becoming another hellhole of death like Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore.
What does the video credit to the revival and the new renaissance of the city? Basically something like "the people took their city back."
What the hell does that even mean? Not just no, but hell no.
Rudy's own city has decided to whitewash him from its history. They deserve whatever happens to them. But god help the innocents murdered in the meantime.

I did 7:56 once in basic training. Running with a guy who made it look easy.
A week later I had a fractured hip.
A year and a half later I got back into the 9's but never below.
Did almost a year on a dead man's profile that went in and out of legitimacy as doctors saw fit. First PT during expiration was a 14:46 which kept me in but it fucking hurt. Then different doctor "I GAVE YOU A PROFILE!!!" Back on for another 6 months.
Got me all the cool jobs they wanted to send a useless guy on.
