58 Brett Baier talking over Kamala is just the kind of thing that could sway fence sitting women to her side. Her final month of her campaign has been laser like focus on Republican leaning female voters in the affluent suburbs of PA, WI, MI, and AZ. Standing up to a man trying to talk over her and not let her finish her thoughts will remind female voters of their own experience with male bullying and misogyny.

That was a master stroke by MVP Harris. Well done to her and her campaign.

He was disrespectful of her from the start. If he couldn't handle that she's a woman, she's the VP of the US!

She has prosecuted and talked down worse scum than Fox hires, as hard as it is to belive that there's anyone lower! Morans gonna learn the hard way not to tangle with Wonder Woman! https://tinyurl.com/2s45h6j9b (great image lol)

Kamala Harris held her own and got her points across to FOX viewers watching this exclusive. They saw Kamala Harris handle Bully Baier. The Prosecutor handled Baier with sheer perfection.

Another person who hasn't been slapped when they were horrible and demeaning to women or other people I guess.

In recent decades, there's been a lot of ink spilled on the subject of carrots in chile.

Let's face facts: these carrot-boiling freakazoids are a tiny, aberrant fraction of society. They're a threat - but not a prevalent one.

They're only real threat to chile is that they serve as a constant distraction from the true adulterant. The one we all face in our own towns, when we sit down to eat.

You know what I'm talking about.

Tomatoes.

Every day, decent, G-d fearing Americans sit down at tables across the fruited plain, order a bowl of chile, and get a bowl of tomatoes.

And don't even get me started about beans. Beans! They put beans in it!

I'd rather it had fentanyl in it.

It's high time we had a national conversation about chile.

I don't like Bret and think he's pretty left leaning and generally wishy washy and "too nice." So I was expecting not much and kind of dreading. his questions were not tough at all and perfectly reasonable, and he WAS nice actually? he just sort of expected her to try to answer. he let her "filibuster" with her nonsense words way too much - that's the Bret Soft-headedness right there.

she came off stupid, mean, nasty and absolutely ignorant. I finally saw the Kamala who keeps burning thru staffers! wow.

everyone who saw it saw that.

Once Trump wins, I want us to relitigate J6, the stolen 2020 election, and the media coverup of all of it. The media needs to be completely discredited, and if it takes yanking broadcast licenses then so be it.

231 There's a track on Knopfler's "Shangri La" album, "5:15 a.m." that I must have listened to 500 times.

I can play along on acoustic guitar and sing the lyrics. It's a story of an unsolved murder woven into a history lesson about child labor in the coal pits of northeast England.

When Knopfler was a boy growing up near Newcastle, a bagman was found shot dead, in his big Jaguar, in the pre-dawn darkness of the city. He operated a big slot machine operation in all the pubs around, in cahoots with east-end London hoods.

" . . . dead and cold, shot through, with bullet holes . . ."

Look up the lyrics, then look up what is meant by child trappers, little foals, and half-marrows. Great song, spooky intro, and a ghost-filled outro.

[*mom's employment at this time is sketchy] - She lived 6 yrs in Berkeley area. Then 1976 to '81, 'between ages 12 and 17 she lived in Montreal' (WaPo) a humble middle class life where her mother taught at 'McGill University and conducted research at Jewish General Hospital' [WaPo].

*After receiving her PhD, Gopalan stayed at UC Berkeley and became a breast cancer researcher. Her success in this field took her to universities around the world, where she continued conducting research and teaching. She worked at the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin, spent time in France and Italy, and then received tenure at McGill University in Montreal. First snowfall average is Nov 10, also easy to remember as it's Jules' bday.

Ice crystals now on top of the car. Temp is 38.3, dew point 35. No dew on the ground, maybe a little bit.

That's how efficient radiative cooling is for the metal surface of the car roof. My truck is well in the shadow of the house, and nothing but dew on the roof and hood a little bit.

And it's 35 in Sugar Tit now, with a dew point of 35 there too. So they're probably getting a little sheen of frost there now.

I'd be crackin' the Atlas and looking for the U.S. Highways leading to Corsicana. I know U.S. 281 South will lead to San Antonio. Goes west of Fort Worth, IIRC.

You know, this all persuades no one, really. The people that like Harris will rationalize what she said, and call it good, or great, or speaking truth to power.
The people that didn't like her will, of course, not be persuaded at all.
But what I think she has failed to do was persuade anyone that might STILL be undecided. She did indeed filibuster with Bret Baier, which is not a persuasive theme for those "undecided". She impressed her base, but so what?

37.0 on the nose here, now. Dew point value is 34F.

You know, this thing reports dew point to the same 0.1F resolution as the temp sensor which is just stupid, giving a false sense of precision (not to mention accuracy).

The resolution of the RH sensor (capacitive) type is 1%, and the accuracy is about 2% (absolute, not relative).

I forget the numbers, but at best that translates to no more than 2F precision in dew point. Dew point accuracy is the worst in hot/dry and better in cold/wet conditions. It can be as bad as 15F error under the worst of normal conditions.

Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at October 17, 2024 01:19 AM (w6EFb)

381
Let me try to phrase that more precisely. Now, even assuming dead accuracy of the temp and RH sensors, their resolution of 0.1F and 1% RH can still be an uncertainty of up to 15F in dew point under the high temp, low RF condition, and no better than 2F resolution in the cool temp, high RH conditions.

382 I just finished dropping in new dash and front door speakers in the new RAV4. Big difference. I got my speakers from Crutchfiled. They are quite an amazing company. Their website pared down the universe of speakers that would fit my car. When I ordered them they sent you all the brackets, wire harnesses and screws/bolts needed complete the job. Further, it had a disassembly of the interior ready to go that was spot on correct. Other than a few few do-it-yourself typical excitements it was as easy as could possibly be. Rating: Double Plus Good.

389 I got my Bluetti battery power station. It will not operate off the RAV4's AC outlet though it operates just fine off the DC 12V outlet through the charging is on the slow side. I did a test of the refrigerator running from the power station when disconnected from external power sources. After 12 hours the battery was depleted by 30%. Given how I travel I can recover half of that off the 12V DC while driving. I figure this power station will give me somewhere between 4 or 5 days continuous refrigerator running when traveling. After that I can't stand myself and have to go take a shower in a hotel. Verdict: gets it done. Ready for road trips.

1) Red guy challenged the Blue narrative

2) about 0 20 Blue Guys mobbed his post inside of 30 min window. A post would maybe have 20 replies after 1 day, this one had 245 all from Blue Team

3) the first 4-5 replies went straight for the ad hom, not atempt to address any point. All personal attaclks which looked to be about makling question himself "you're an idiot" "how could you write something so offensive" " WOW talk about no self awareness" It's important to note that even if he was wrong it would have justified the hatred. These pre-scripted attacks because they didnt fit the crime
Saying "(a fetus) is not your body, it has different DNA" is not cause for "i hope you get castrated.
Requests to be more specific were ignored. They never made an argument. It was always vague innuendo "I cant believe this is still a thing"

Jamie and his sister used their allowance three years ago to save Tucker when he was about to be put down at a shelter. So it's almost like he wanted to return the favor. (Here's a photo.)
