AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer
requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:
8/6 - LMD Outer Banker requested prayers for a son who is undergoing an experimental treatment for
chronic Lyme disease, which he has been battling for 25 years. He will be in a clinic abroad for about a
month.
8/31 Update – The son is on his way home. After one month of treatment, the tests appear to show he
is free of Lyme and its coinfections. For the first time in 15 years, he no longer has to take antibiotics.
Now the challenge is for his immune system to repair itself to be able to ward off future problems. The
clinic indicates that will take about 6 months of healthy eating and supplements. Thank you for your
prayers; LMD Outer Banker and family are crying in joy.
9/7 Update – Someone Else asked for more information about the clinic and location where this
treatment was possible, if LMD Outer Banker would be willing to post a comment with that information,
or let Annie’s Stew know so she can forward the information. Someone Else has a relative who has
suffered for years and was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Someone Else’s relative also needs
prayers for healing.
9/14 Update – the Clinic is in Germany, under clinicum.st.georg. (The URL is https://www.klinik-st-
georg.de/en). It is extremely expensive. The son said for most of the people there it was life or death.
9/21 Update – CP offered to help with logistics of a Horde member needs to come to the clinic noted
here. He is stationed in Germany, within an hour of the clinic. He also knows people at the local U.S.
Consulate. He said he can’t promise speed, only friendly assistance and moral support. Contact Annie’s
Stew and she can help you get in contact with CP, if you are going to Germany for treatment.
8/23 – Grumpy and Recalcitrant requested continued prayers for J.J. Sefton. J.J. is feeling “not too bad,
all things considered”. His post-radiation/chemo MRI is scheduled for the first week of Sept, and this is
when he will find out where things are at, concerning his cancer. Please keep praying for complete
remission, recovery, and a return to good health.
9/24 Update – J.J. posted that his last MRI was negative, which means that he is essentially cancer-
free. He has just started a 6-week course of chemo maintenance with regular MRIs to monitor for any
recurrence, presumably for the rest of his life. All things considered, his doctors are very upbeat that this
could be longer than the standard prognosis. He sends his thanks again to everyone for their prayers
and messages of support.
9/28 Update – J.J. said he just finished the first month of maintenance. It is amazing that it’s just a pill
that he takes at bedtime, 5 straight days per month, for 6 months. Now he has 3 weeks of until the next
round, and an MRI in the coming weeks.
8/31 – Jewells45 sent an update. She started on Cyremza 2 weeks ago, and the only side effects are
really bad headaches and fatigue. She is praying this works.
9/7 Update – Jewells and her husband had a tough weekend. Jewells had a lesion on her leg that hurt
so bad she couldn’t walk, and her husband had to drive himself to the ER. He was unable to urinate, and
in terrible pain. The problem was related to his prostate.
9/21 Update – Jewells’ husband got another catheter put back in on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he was
very lethargic and barely responsive, so she called 911. It turned out his sodium was dangerously low. If

she’d waited, he probably would have had a seizure or slipped into a coma. He stayed at the hospital
overnight.
9/14 – COMountainMarie had asked for prayers. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of
weeks ago.
10/8 Update – COMountainMarie asked for prayers as she recovers from breast cancer surgery.
9/14 – MH sent a prayer of thanks for the fire fighters and first responders for tackling the dangerous
“Davis Fire” in Reno, NV this past week.
9/14 – Sal asked for prayers for E and her 100-year-old mother, who is being moved into a new care
facility this week, that the move will not be too difficult and that she will adjust well.
9/16 – Teresa in Fort Worth asked for prayers for her husband’s coworker, Chuck. He is a young family
man in his 40s who received a diagnosis of colon cancer a few months ago, and things are looking pretty
bad right now. He had been receiving chemo in preparation for surgery, but now the tumor(s) are
intertwined with other organs, so they cannot safely operate. He and his wife divorced a few months
before the diagnosis, but she is still helping him out. His two adolescent sons are having a hard time
adjusting to all the upheaval. Chuck is planning to sell his house so he can move in with his dad, who is in
bad health as well.
9/16 – notsothoreau asked for prayers for a woman from church, R, and her family. R just lost her son to
suicide. He left a wife and 3 kids behind. There were no warning signs and R is in shock.
9/17 – PA Dutchman asked for prayers for his sister, Lori, and her husband, Fred. Fred just learned that
he has stage 4 lung cancer and there is nothing doctors can do for him.
9/18 – “…” asked for prayers for a friend, “J”, who was injured in a hit and run. He is left with back pain
and his arm is numb.
9/19 – Erebus asked for prayers for mom, whose years of suffering from Alzheimer’s are almost over.
9/21 – Commissioner Hrothgar offered prayers up for former (and hopefully future) President Trump, to
keep him safe from harm and that the forces of evil arrayed against him and our country be made
ineffective and come to naught.
9/21 – Tonypete asked for prayers for the owner of a local diner, Michelle, and her family at the death
of her son due to addiction-related ailments.
9/21 – Matthew Kant Cipher asked for prayers for the soul of Alex and Alex’ surviving family. Alex was a
fine young man who coached MKC’s son’s youth baseball team for a few years. Alex died in a single
vehicle crash this week, leaving behind a pregnant wife and two stepchildren.
9/21 – FenelonSpoke requested prayers for her son, K, to get a job related to his major, which was
horticulture. He has been diligently sending out resumes from searches online, but hasn’t heard
anything yet. Also, prayers for other morons and ‘ettes looking for jobs.

9/21 – vmom stabby stabby stabby asked for prayers for a young mom who works at her dentist’s office,
who is battling a stage 3 brain tumor.
9/21 – RedMindBlueState requested prayers for C, a the two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter of a
friend and fellow parishioner, who recently had a tumor removed from her spine.
9/23 – Lady in Black asked for prayers for her dad. He is 89 and has upcoming cataract surgery. The
cataracts are so bad, he is now legally blind. His surgery is 10/1 and he is very afraid and worried.
Prayers for his peace of mind, safety, and well-being during the surgery would be greatly appreciated.
9/27 – Joe Kidd would appreciate prayers for God’s tender mercies toward the soul of Joe’s older
brother Mike, who passed away on 9/26 from stomach cancer. Prayers for comfort toward his widow
Irene and adjust son Michael are also appreciated.
9/27 – Coelacanth asked for prayers for his son. In the last year, his son has been diagnosed with
fibromyalgia and another connective tissue disorder that can be severely limiting, and his most recent
job has a terribly toxic work environment. Despite this, the son has been pushing through. He has been
praying, but feels that God has abandoned him. The Horde’s prayers helped this son the last time;
please pray for him again.
9/28 – “Perfessor” Squirrel asked for prayers for a family of missionaries from his church, currently on
their way to Kenya to begin training Kenyans on how to engage in Christian missionary work in Africa.
The family includes the son-in-law, wife, and three small daughters of the pastor at the “Perfessor’s”
church. Prayers for their safety and success in their missionary work are appreciated.
9/28 – J.J. Sefton offered prayers for safety and a return to normalcy ASAP for those in and around the
area affected by Hurricane Helene.
9/28 – Tonypete requested prayers for his wife’s best buddy, Mike. Mike is on death’s door as a result of
bone cancer.
10/7 – Mike is on hospice care and will be going on to his reward very soon.
9/28 – mindful webworker welcomes prayers for minor surgery on his eyelid - for a successful snippage
and a quick recovery.
9/28 – Tacitus asked for prayers at the start of a new job. It’s a big step up.
9/30 – It’s me donna asked for prayers for her daughter. She has to have her thyroid removed because
of nodules. She is praying it’s not cancer.
10/5 – tbodie Lurker asked for prayers. During surgery for an ablation, they found an external source of
afib on an outer wall of the heart. There will be a second procedure done soon.
10/7 – Piper requested prayers for her stepfather, who fell and broke his wrist. He will need surgery to
put a plate in. He is in a lot of pain.
10/7 – NR Pax sent an update and thanks for the prayers – mother-in-law’s masses in her chest turned
out to be non-cancerous.

10/7 – 496 asked for prayers for the people suffering from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 496 is on his
third bout of pneumonia in a month, so he could use some prayers, too. His doctors have not figured out
yet what is going on.
10/7 – Eromero posted a prayer. “Dear God, Please grant comfort to families suffering worry and
despair over relatives missing after the hurricane damage. Give the searchers and rescuers shart eyes
and gentle hands, guide them to any victims’ location. Supply survivors with medical treatment and
nourishment, place them in safe shelters. Return them to their loved ones. In Christ’s name. Amen.”
10/7 – Marcus T posted the good news that a family member’s cancer is gone. Marcus T’s cancer is
gone, as well, so he says to never lose hope, He will show you the way.
10/7 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her church’s rummage sale, and that the township which has
purchased land from the church would complete the transaction and pay for the land.
For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the
prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in
a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with
the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it
to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an
update.

not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

But the details are slim, and inconsistent.

17 Today's task is to identify and possibly purchase a good residential grade zero-turn mower.

The lawn is over two acres of irrigated and well maintained HOA compliant landscaping. My neighbor, who has been graciously mowing it for quite some time now is probably going to stop due to age, recent injuries and rethinking.

I'm thinking no larger than 54", no less than 22HP, no Briggs and Stratton (Kohler/Kawasaki maybe Vanguard), no John Deer (because they are asshoe), don't need ROPS, but the property is more hills than level.

I was looking at the Toro Titan MyRide, but their sales sheet make it seem that it is not recommended for anything other than soccer fields with obstacles.

25 Today I have to figure out how to fix the exterior trim around the 11 windows I had put in last week. I stopped them after they started putting this cheap tin trim OVER the existing trim around the windows. They also did not put in real sills and instead used untreated 2x4s with the intention of covering them with tin. I specifically specified replacing all the sills, and not with cheap crap junk. Gawd I am so pissed. I should have been here for the whole thing and stopped them at the sills.

As usual, if you want something done right, do it yourself. Now they say they won't warranty it unless they "wrap" the frames with their ugly ass shit.

The sales guy had nice brochures showing these beautiful windows nicely trimmed out and they tried to foist this crap on me. I am so f'n pissed at these assholes.

26 That meme reminds me of this parable:

Luke 18
9 Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: 10 “Two men went up into the [e]temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be [f]merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

27 Two acres is a lot of lawn.

No kidding, it takes over six hours to irrigate drawing straight from the lake. I would hate to see what using city water would cost.

if I were to go with what the "pros" use, I'm getting into the five figure range, and now its a function of buy an inexpensive one now and when it breaks/wears out, get another cheap replacement and still be under the cost of the pro version.

The alternative is to go bid next time the guy across the highway auctions off used diesel Kubotas. They usually go for around 4-5k. I'm pretty sure that while the engine is still good, the deck/chassis and the spinning stuff is past the 1500-2000 hr mark and is tired.

36 Long time ago we had an acre to mow, and we used a commercial walk-behind Toro with 48 inch cut width. In high gear you had to trot behind it. The commercial guys used the sulky attachment, a tiny trailer with a pad large enough for a pair of feet.

Loved that machine. There were about a dozen trees in the big lawn and it was fun spinning around them with the zero turn .

37 I like my Ariens ZTR. It has the Kawasaki 22hp engine and 54" deck.

I hear the Kawasaki is a good engine, usually for a model ZT, the manufacturer will offer either a 24HP Kohler or a 22HP Kawasaki. Don't know if the Kawasaki's better build is worth the improved efficiency and additional ponies of the Kohler.

I'm not going into business, I just don't want to be hauling it back to the dealer for repairs. For some reason I have this idea that the hydrostatic transmissions are the weak points on these things and I want to bulk up on that spec, but now I'm getting into the $8k+ range for some yahoo that wants to tame
"city grass" on the weekends.

dittos. Not as much to mow, since I don't want to irrigate it too. I have a natural shoreline and with that comes the usual roots, and irregularities of a varying lake level - that is push mower for much of the 300' of shoreline (other part of the shoreline is elevated peninsula because of the oil well). Also have a stand of trees, mostly lob lolly so it is pine debris. On the other side of the road will remain wild.

Folks here are recommending more of a pro-sumer grade, I'm going to have to find a deal, though the Scag looks to fit that bill. Maybe the Bad Boy pro-sumer.

I'm probably going to go with welded deck but I don't know why that is important.

If I had all the time in the world, I would design and build my own which would use the Ferris frame (I like the suspension) and install a 18HP engine/generator and individually motor the left-read and right-rear and the deck using batteries in between the generator and motors.

Paint the thing purple, put a 240V/30 amp outlet on it so it can double as a backup generator and brand the thing "Yard Ape"

Prayers up for those that know they need them but have not asked us for them;
Prayers up for those that need them but don’t know it yet; and
Prayers up for those who pray alone, asking for help in silence, and whose prayers are known but to God!
Prayers up even for all "our" politicians who have apparently decided that the 10% graft and power are far more desirable than honor or integrity, may they see the error of their ways and repent!
And lastly, prayers up for former (and hopefully future) President Trump, keep him safe from harm and may the many forces of evil arrayed against him and our country be made ineffective and come to naught!

62 The piece of property I own was abandoned for something like 3-4 years. 5 acre "flag lot." 1/4 mile off the two lane, up on a slight knoll. One 3/2 doublewide, aboveground pool and a 20X40 garage/shop, uninsulated, heated or A/C but does have electric (it's own feed.)

Shortly after buying it on the cheap I got a Kubota BX series mower with a 5' deck. Addons over the years included a bucket loader and a land plane.

It takes about 4 hours to completely mow the "mowable" stuff and another hour to trim.

63 I have ten acres 8 of which are wooded. Of the two acres, a little over an acre needs to be mowed.

That reads like the ideal residential property. Enough grass to be civilized and enough woods to separate you from the uncivil.

67 My little Kubota tractor has a 60" deck and a front loader, and will cut the heck out of wide open lawn. I would consider one of those before a high end ZTR. The main reason I got the ZTR is it's more maneuverable in some areas and to save hours on the tractor. I used the tractor exclusively for years though before getting the ZTR.

I'm trying to avoid the Bushhog look. Some clown was using that on the grass along the road and the cattle fence, the ground was wet and the finished product look less like being mowed and more like being vandalized due to all of the trenching.

Question; is your yard that you mow with the ZTR smooth or uneven?

My "yard" is really, really uneven. No way it's ever going to be leveled out. At least not in my lifetime.

I'm dubious about the "speed" at which I would be able to mow with a ZTR to make buying one worthwhile. That's the only reason I'd look into one, was to save time.

As a kid, I used to mow the family acre lot with a Snapper. Loved that thing. The hill was pretty steep rising up a good 50" from the creek up to the house. The only way to mow without flipping over was straight up and straight down.

Using Kid Thinking, I would do one path up the hill, then do another swath down the hill backwards, transmission in neutral and regulating speed with the brake.

There are large areas that are flat and even that I cut with the ZTR. It's good for that. It's not good on hills.

There are other areas that I still only cut with the tractor. I also have a bushhog for areas that the ZTR would never go and I don't want to use the deck mower on.

One thing lacking on my ZT is a speedometer, but on level ground it sure does seem to move out smartly...

A word of caution, if you have irregular ground (like pasture), check the seat cushioning. My one complaint with the Snapper is that the seat is essentially bolted to the frame and by the time I have finished cutting the grass I feel like I have been on an unsprung buckboard going cross country!

This does not mean Trump will win, or that the election will go well (or even happen!) merely that God is on the move. For a long time we were fat, happy and stupid, and treated religion as a hobby. Certainly that was my view.

Now it is if a veil has been withdrawn and the angels and demons among us are revealed.

I wonder how many Catholics will be inspired to receive the Eucharist on the tongue this weekend? I had already adopted the practice.

We got new windows a couple of years ago and the difference has been tremendous. The old ones didn't open all the way and when they new ones were put in, we actually had to turn down the furnace because the insulation was so much better.

They have a budget, they have to use it, and they were directed to make a "real man" ad. They despise the entire concept, and didnt want to make it. Of course they dont know how to make an effective ad like that, but they resented being told to do it. The ad is a mean-spirited parody, an inside joke. Its not meant to persuade. The ad's a "F you" to whoever ordered them to make a "real man" ad.

And then there's the squirrels. Nothing short of a concrete slab poured foundation and a proper steel frame/glassed greenhouse will stop squirrels, and maybe not even that. Blasted tree-rats...

287 Also: what if Trump wins the popular vote? Doesn't that mean California, New York, Colorado and all the other National Popular Vote states have to give their electors to him?

My understanding of the NPVC is that it doesn't take effect anywhere until states making up a majority of the EC sign on, so no. But I imagine that Trump winning the popular vote would take the wind out of the movement's sails. Maybe even see some states rescind their agreement to it which would be fun.

Stay off the grass!

I really enjoyed Germany. I took German in school and while it was rusty, it got me by and improved the more I used it.

The best thing was that when I was at a loss and finally broke into English, the Germans were absolutely delighted that an American spoke their language so well. The guy at the parking garage insisted on walking me to the pay machine and showing me exactly what to do. At the chocolate shop, the ladies smiled broadly and threw a couple of bon-bons into my bag free of charge.

At the castle in Kaiserslauten, the keeper re-opened it (we got there just after it closed) so we got a private tour.

So learn some German - it will be very much appreciated.

I'm in a lot of pain most days and this past week I have just been lethargic and can't seem to be able to do more than a few tasks around the house or a quick errand and I'm exhausted. For a bus tour, you might want to look at Globus, if just for ideas on an itinerary.

https://is.gd/JTo46t

It's been awhile since I've been on one of their tours, but I've enjoyed every one I've been on. They do seem to be fairly structured, but they do give you plenty of free time, and of course, you can participate in their optional activities, which cost extra, but are well worth the money.

Some people think this is nickel-and-diming, but they're up front about the cost, so if you don't want to participate, you can do your own thing.

Worth checking out.

358 Gretchen is more vile than Kamala and even Hillary.

Catholics are a large voting block but diverse. Collectively they map almost exactly to the center of the electorate at large.

What Gretchen did was incredibly stupid politics. It alienates Left-leaning Catholics while angering the Traditionalists with no upside.

She happilly participated in the FBI framing a few nitwits for plotting to kidnap her just for the publicity.

She's Hillary without the brains.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer releases statement following video of her feeding a podcaster a Dorito corn chip, resembling communion:
“Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith,” the statement said. “I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs. My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference. What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.”

366 @300/Ciampino: "My browser and also Edge won't let me access the Powerline website. Some sort of security idiocy. Any ideas?"

Is it a forever-looping "I'm not a robot" captcha from Google that won't let you pass?

If so, then it might be the DoH (DNS over HTTPS) feature in your browser in combination with the use of Cloudflare's DNS. Try turning DoH off, or select a different DoH provider and see if that helps.

If your browser is Firefox, that's under Tools - Settings (Edit - Settings if you're using Linux), then Privacy & Security" on the left, and then scroll down to the "DNS over HTTPS" settings.

Now you still may be using Cloudflare as your regular DNS provider. Check your network settings. You want to get Cloudflare out of the equation completely to ensure they aren't the problem here.

Here's OpenDNS's server IP's and setup information:
https://www.opendns.com/setupguide/

And you can flush your DNS cache on a Windows machine with this command from within CMD (aka a dos window):

IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

Don't have to differentiate into which people they hate, and it's likely they hate themselves more than anyone else. A pretense of loving people by accepting but deep down there is a lot of loathing of the essential nature of mankind. Satanic in nature.

Speaking of dumb, Warner Brothers has "fired" DeNiro from two upcoming gangster movies designed to reignite his career. Also, he was scheduled to appear in Joker 3 but that has mercifully been put out of its misery. DeNiro sin was being a narcissist who blamed the failure of Joker 2 on WB's decision to leave his scenes in Joker 2 on the cutting room floor and generally being a jerk.

389 @374/Eromero: "Whut?"

DNS = Domain Name Service.

- You type an address (URL) into your web browser.
- Your browser asks the DNS server (be it DoH or regular DNS), "Hey, what's the IP address for that site so I can try to connect to it?" (This is akin to you looking up a phone number for a given person or business in the phone book.)
- The DNS service gives your browser the IP address for that site, and your browser connects to it and retrieves the web page for you. - Your machine REMEMBERS (caches) that number for a while. Could be up to 48 hours. This is akin to you writing the name/number down on your personal list or on an old Rolodex card.

The command I gave (which is run from a command window, ie cmd.exe) makes your machine forget everything it's looked up, so it does the lookup for you fresh again. This would be akin to you removing everything from your Rolodex so you can look everything up and write it down on new cards from a different phone book. For your computer, it all happens automatically and very quickly, so there's really no down-side to doing this.

This can be important thing to do if you've just switched DNS methods or have turned DoH off.

399 "Nothing to do with skin color, everything to do with his policies and character."

I agree. The Won used "skin color" as an impenetrable shield to gain authority and maintain the upper hand, a whip hand. Race provided Barry un-accountability, a 'get out of jail free' for 21 Constitutional violations, or any close examinations of wife Mooch, and his hidden and suspicious background, associates and behavior.

"White supremacy, fragility, and privilege" spew out the mouths of black/brown political leaders and activists when caught in illegal activities that would have us bitter clinging, baskets of deplorables in handcuffs and leg irons.

"Race" is a big reason why attempts to assassinate Trump are ok, he's not a "joyful" Woman of Color.
