And hopefully if/when arrested, these people will sing like birds in order to cut a deal for themselves. Of much more interest than "who dunnit" is the question of who hired them and for how much?

Fifteen thousand years ago the ice was 1 mile thick over St.Louis. if these Chicken Littles had been around then, they'd have been gobbling about how warm it's going to get in a few centuries.

I never used the machines, but I like DVDs. They're convenient and easy to load. Skipping to a particular spot, running it back to rewatch, pausing, etc. is so much easier than it was with VCR tapes!

I need to buy a copy of Ghostbusters (is there a fortieth anniversary edition?) and of the 2015 Man From U.N.C.L.E. film. I was waiting until I got a Blu-Ray machine to buy the Blu-Ray version.

And having a physical copy means that the movie will never be altered or deleted because "modern audiences" are offended by something.

back in Misty Antiquity, maybe when they were first starting up the subscription bizniss model, they offere old CS2 as a free download; we are still using that here at Chateau D'Eez. it's the only reason I tolerate having a windows machine in the house.

106 New Zealand's Defense Minister, who reminds me of a Hutt in a blonde wig, is upset because people are noticing the biology of a school teacher/late blooming naval officer who managed to run aground and sink a ship.

109 As I remarked on an earlier thread, how is Bill Clinton going to convince anyone on the fence ( IS anyone on the fence ? to vote for Kamala?) He might be able to fake it "man of the people" stuff but he's worth at least $250 million dollars. Unlike Trump who worked with
Working class people, I don't think Clinton has had any dealings with them since he was running for President.

110 93 Good luck getting an un-edited version of "Blazing Saddles."

Blazing Saddles is one of those movies everyone is sure is canceled, but even though I agree with Mel Brooks that it couldn’t get made today, 1.) it is still available, 2.) it is still uncut, and 3.) people of all stripes still watch it and think it’s hilarious.

Now I admit this was 2014, before the mind virus broke out of the college campuses and Tumblr, but I saw a packed screening at the Castro Theatre in SF, and everyone laughed throughout. Including at the gay jokes, IIRC. (Nobody booed them, that much I remember.)

112 I don't understand how polls can vary so much. One says, "The race is vey close". Another says "Trump is ahead by several points in swing states." I guess that this is just because of the biases of the pollsters and polls used to influence results rather than report accurate numbers?

Regardless, just go out and vote for Trump anyway no matter what polls say.

"They weigh 900 pounds and there are 24,000 of them scattered across the country, typically wired directly into power so you can't even unplug them."

No one thought putting them on a separate circuit with a dedicated breaker was a good idea?
