Just in case. Bear in mind that especially in the west, flash floods can result from rain storms many miles away from where you are, so fine weather nearby doesn't mean that a wall of water couldn't roar down the stream bed later.

I had someone vote using my name in Connecticut 20 years ago. Voting there was in person on election day back then. I went to go vote after I got off work and the lady said I already voted. I said, nope I have been at work since 6am that morning and I had not voted yet. We had a nice argument and I got to fill out a "provisional" ballot that I am 85% confident was never counted.

what gives me a lot of hope is that Milei and Bukkele both showed it is fairly simple to solve these problems. It requires reducing the spending, and to stop screwing with the economy. Those two have something Trump didn't have the first try, which was a team that backed him completely, at least for now.

Propaganda only works if its messaging sticks. In this case, the Trump as Hitler messaging is targeting the most unhinged, prone-to-violence, and ideally schizophrenic true believers on the Left; hence, endless repetition so their messaging can be the dominating new voice in their headspace.

Grooming assassins must be a tricky business. Too crazy and they're bound to screw it up. Not crazy enough and they'll sooner or later realize they're being played.
