The Morning Report — 10/8/24 

Good Morning Kids. With parts of the southeast and Florida still reeling from Hurricane Helene and the institutional and intentional ineptitude of the Federal bureaucracy to provide adequate relief to those affected by it, we have a monstrous, upwards of a category 5 storm in the Gulf of Mexico poised to hit Florida tomorrow at or near the Tampa area. Please, if you or your loved ones are anywhere near where this might make landfall and its path thereafter, evacuate as soon as possible. The proclamation of the Mayor of Tampa, that "If You Choose to Stay You Are Going to Die" might be a tad on the overly dramatic to hyperbolic side. Nevertheless, I think we all should be well aware by now the kind of damage and suffering a hurricane can inflict on those in its path, especially those who live or have lived most of their lives in areas that are prone to them.

Not to worry, your government is on the job!

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reportedly went on a luxury shopping spree in Georgetown this weekend as residents across southern Appalachia continue to beg for emergency supplies.
“Mayorkas, who was impeached by the House of Representatives earlier this year for his handling of the border crisis, was spotted by the Washington Free Beacon strolling through the mens section of Sid Mashburn, a high-end menswear store, surrounded by security,” the Washington Free Beacon reported Saturday. “He appeared to purchase some items at the store, where suit jackets go for as much as three thousand dollars.” The Beacon noted that there are still more than 170,000 power outages in North Carolina “alone” and the death toll from Hurricane Helene stands at 227. Residents across flooded out regions of southern Appalachia, however, have been left without immediate disaster relief from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), an agency Mayorkas oversees as part of the Department of Homeland Security. “They desperately need oxygen for stranded home-bound seniors. They need food, clean water, and shelter,” The Federalist’s Matt Kittle reported Friday. “Sadly, they also need bodybags.”
Residents have “been literally begging FEMA officials for critical supplies.”

Considering what has been done to this country by Obama and his puppets, jail is putting it mildly, especially when using a word like "treason." With an erased border and zero immigration controls with violent criminals flooding in by the millions, including Islamic terrorists among the rapists, thugs, murderers, human traffickers and house-pet roasters.

bombshell letter written by the deputy director for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently revealed that there are a staggering 425,431 noncitizen convicted criminals as well as 222,141 noncitizens with pending criminal charges on the agency’s non-detained docket.
These numbers pertain to any illegal immigrant released from detention into the interior of the United States with either final deportation orders or those awaiting an immigration court hearing. If that wasn’t bad enough, it gets much worse once you drill down into the numbers, as approximately 13,000 illegal immigrants on the non-detained docket have been convicted of homicide, 1,845 are currently facing homicide charges, and 16,000 have been convicted of sexual assault.
These alarming statistics challenge the narrative promoted by immigration advocates that immigrants are “less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born citizens.”
That said, every crime committed by an illegal immigrant, beginning with the initial act of unlawfully entering the country, is an event that should never have occurred. Consequently, any criminal activity that follows is entirely preventable had proper immigration enforcement been in place from the start.
This includes heinous crimes like the killing of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray allegedly by two Venezuelan nationals who had recently entered the United States illegally but were released into the interior of the country. Or the rape and murder of Rachel Morin, a mother of five, allegedly by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, who is also accused of murder in his home country in addition to raping a mother and her 9-year-old daughter in Los Angeles. There are also the tens of thousands of Americans killed every year by the fentanyl flowing across our border.
These crimes, as well as the added stress that mass immigration puts on local infrastructure and our national culture, are entirely preventable if our ruling elites valued U.S. sovereignty and the safety of its citizens. Instead, the basic tenets of nationhood have been cast aside and the damage has been exasperated under the Biden-Harris Junta.
Today, the total foreign-born or immigrant population (legal and illegal) is estimated to be approximately 51.6 million, an increase of around 6.6 million since Biden and Harris took office. Of that, 51.6 million, approximately 16.8 million are illegal aliens. All told, immigrants now represent 15.6 percent of the U.S. population — the highest in history.

that and the decriminalization of crime itself along with an economic policy that has put us trillions in debt while nearly strangling the lifeblood of our economy; the petrochemical industry in chasing the myth of green energy utopia. That and a foreign policy that is leading us to the brink of armageddon.

Now perhaps with the cover of two hurricanes, the powers hat be have enough of a smokescreen to try to steal enough ballots in NC, Florida, and of course Georgia.

Come on, you knew this was coming. Never let a crisis go to waste. Instead of providing immediate aid, the Biden-Harris administration worsened the crisis in North Carolina. Because a crisis justifies setting aside election rules.
North Carolina’s election board voted Monday to give residents in the western part of the state, which was hit hardest by Hurricane Helene, greater flexibility to vote by mail and run their elections.
Voters in 13 counties heavily affected by the storm will have more ways to obtain and deliver absentee ballots, while county boards will have more ability to modify their election administration plans. The changes, approved by unanimous vote of the bipartisan board, come 10 days before early voting begins in the battleground state and as mail voting is already underway.
Voters in those counties who want to cast ballots by mail will be able to request and receive them in person until Nov. 4, the day before Election Day, rather than the Tuesday before, under the usual rules. They will also be able to drop off their ballots at any county board of elections in the state or any polling sites in their counties. Previously, voters were limited to dropping absentee ballots off at the board of elections or early voting sites in their counties.

Can they pull off a quickie steal? Remember, they're from the government and they're here to help — help, themselves.

Before Helene hit, and G-d forbid whatever the aftermath of Milton may bring, it certainly seemed as if Trump was on his way to pulling out the "W," the rigging and shenanigans already going on notwithstanding. The Democrats are seemingly in deep doo-doo with a number of their core constituencies and some of their so-called Blue Wall states were even in play. So, if the powers that be can take advantage of a situation like two convenient hurricanes to try and pull off a steal where it might not have happened otherwise, this is to be expected.

Have a good day, and please stay safe! From Hurricanes? It's a snap. From criminals and thugs unleashed on us by the criminal DC junta, not so much.

4 Good morning, one and all. In news not related to anything, I bought a pack of hot sauces from Australia called "Bunsters."

Now, I am a fan of hot sauce and spicy food. Today, I brought out the third bottle from the pack (I was starting at the mildest one and working my way up.). It's called "Shit the Bed."

I am happy to say that it is as good as advertised.

The only Republicans who are worried about the future of the party are the Never Trumpers who want to return to the GOP that rolls over and plays dead for the Democrats, but gets an occasional pat on the head from The New York Times.

Looks like Cape Coral is most likely eye-wall landfall for Milton according to Ventusky prediction map. Storm sheared off some intensity as it passed close to Mexico. Water temps as it approaches landfall are quite a bit less then when Helene went through.

Hopefully it drops down to a Cat 2 or less tomorrow when it begins to come ashore.

The test they did was actually interesting. They brought in several athletes (A1 - A12), all male, and had them perform various measurable activities. Then they had all 12 declare themselves to be female and repeat the activities. There were no significant differences. Science in the 21st century.

I think there are some undecideds about voting period. They dislike both candidates... for whatever reason. This is probably a small percentage though.

As for the illegals casting ballots... no. They will not be casting ballots. Someone, likely a Democrat operative will be casting those ballots on their behalf. You wouldn't risk a legit ballot being filled out improperly after going through the motions of getting a legal one into someone's hands who will gladly let you vote on their behalf.

Well, God knows how all of this turns out, and he told us about that ending in both the old Testament, and in the Book of Revelation. The left wins and establishes a world wide government (The Beast of Revelation). Things don't go well for them after that point. It is possible that a Trump victory here could be the "Blow to a head of the Beast" that causes people to marvel that the Beast eventually wins.

My assumption is that the states and municipalities are getting their money from state and real estate taxes as they are now. The 8% covers what is currently collected by the feds. Of course, that doesn't include the US borrowing a trillion dollars every three months as we currently are. Just pointing out that federal taxes paid are much lower than the marginal rates.

283 Here is my observation about Hurricanes and Tropical storms: They all do about the same total amount of damage. High category Hurricanes do intense damage in a small area. Tropical storms do less intense damage over a much larger area. The worst damage Houston got was from a Tropical storm that kept circling over the city dumping an immense amount of water.

A seventy mile an hour wind in a storm is not like holding your arm out of a car window at 70 mph. The reason for that is the debris carried by the storm wind. That is why a 125 mph Tornado is so destructive.

Dunno about that. When you have a storm the size of Florida hit, it does widespread damage. The surge from a Cat 5 hurricane alone inundates large swaths of coastal areas, the inundation dependent on surge height which is dependent on the wind speed and which side of the hurricane hits (you don't want to be on the hurricane's right side...)

IF memory serves me, stores that resell don't pay sales tax on those items. Now, that doesn't obviate other taxes those store have to pay (e.g. inventory taxes).

In the US, Retailers receive sales tax exemption for items for retail. Europe is a bit more complicated, the VAT adds tax as value is added to items. I know least about it as I'm US based.

Bat Cave is the largest known granite fissure cave in North America and is home to the endangered Indiana bat. Located near Lake Lure, the cave and its surroundings are protected by The Nature Conservancy as the Bat Cave Preserve. The main chamber inside the cave is a dark cathedral more than 300 feet long and approximately 85 feet high.

The Nature Conservancy has discontinued hikes on the property due to caution about the spreading of white nose syndrome in bats.

So to reiterate, it's also a part of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, under the direction of U.S. National Park Service.

I think we need to focus on certain shenanigans taking place out in Arizona, where there seem to apparently be around 218,000 "unverified voters" who are going to be getting absentee ballots mailed to them in the next 48 hours, unless the GOP/RNO makes a legal motion to the courts to stop the mailing, until these "unverified voters" can be identified.

As usual, the standard suspets - SOS, Governor and Election Commission/Board - are arguing that they won't reveal the list of names of the "unverified voters" due to PRIVACY issues.
Let's make a quick point here that voter rolls and lists of voters DO NOT fall under any declared veil of Privacy. What does fall under Privacy is the WHOM voters cast ballots. Who someone votes for is totally their business but IF they aren't a citizen or this country or ineligible to cast a vote in an American election, that is EVERYONE'S business, especially law enforcement and the courts.

Of course as if on queue, the "Republican" lawyer for the GOP in the state of Arizona conveniently resigned yesterday (10/07/2024) before taking action. I hope the RNC moves quickly!
