Posted by: old chick at October 11, 2024 07:55 PM (F3Dlr)” I believe a lot of that depends on the individual. For some it’s simply part of who they are. Either they’ve grown up with it, or “inherited” it from their parents. In terms of politics a lot of times it comes from people’s experiences with things like college. You have to posses some empathy. It’s a confusing world and people are bombarded with confusion that leads to a state of pathos. You can’t live your life according to emotion. Otherwise you become irrational and easily persuaded by fallacies and lies. The trick is to seek the truth in all things, wherever that leads. It’s not an easy road as I can attest. But it is greatly fulfilling. Greatly. Like nothing else of this earth. Posted by: Marcus T at October 11, 2024 08:00 PM (bEuBF) 104

The "dog mother" to tigers and the "bear-tiger" friendship IGs are just anonymous narration about happenings in unnamed locations, laid over series of photos and vids that are showing different animals (probably at differing locations). The dog mother's fur color changes remarkably, a total giveaway. So, fake news, a clickbait scam. The wolf cub fading to full-grown next to some dude, apparently surrounded by mountain scenery is another likely fake. Anonymous narration, disconnected images, undisclosed location.

Amidst all the talk of polling and turnout and other normal election stuff there is something much more fundamental going on. The old lines of Team Blue vs Team Red that happen every election in our lifetime are breaking down and we are getting back to much more fundamental issues. On one side are people of all colors, religions, genders, whatever who just love this country and want it to flourish as it always has and those who hate this country and want to tear it down and change it supported by those who have gotten rich and powerful doing so. It's blatantly obvious. Trump isn't a Republican let alone a conservative no matter what badge he wears in the election. He's just an American who loves this country. No matter what happens the old ways are over and it's way past time. Posted by: JackStraw at October 11, 2024 09:28 PM (LkLld) 239

135 We abandoned the Catholic church during Covid, as they essentially abandoned us. The Church restricted access and made little effort to do anything useful. Meanwhile, the local evangelical churches were meeting outside in the parking lot, doing what they could to continue the practice of their faith. Cafeteria Catholics is an apt description of a lot of the Krazyfornia Catholics I met.

Bride and I cannot make it to Texas this year.
We had been planning it, but she will be undergoing IV antibiotics for Lyme for a couple of weeks. She is making me take her to dinner in a town that is not here (Laramie or Cheyenne, most likely). She has a restless nature, but she also has physical issues that make long road trips problematic. She is also insisting that we take my truck, which means that she will likely say "Ooh, that forest road looks cool. let's drive up there." I kinda like her. 222 Moki and RMBS, I just hope I get the seasoning just right.
Posted by: Ben Had at October 11, 2024 09:04 PM (I1GXe) Olive oil, lemon, garlic, grated onion, oregano, salt and pepper- those are the basics, with your personal preference of thyme orred pepper (for spicy gyro). Fresh is the key, and don't skimp on the olive oil or garlic!! Posted by: Moki at October 11, 2024 09:47 PM (wLjpr) 252
