Reaching Across The Aisle? It's For Sell-outs And Those Without A Coherent Political Philosophy

The headline says it all, but the current sleaze in the news -- The Cheney Clan -- is a perfect example of how political expediency and plain old graft easily subsumes the mushy political philosophy of many of the people who have claimed the mantle of 'elite" in our government.

Dick Cheney, or "Judas Iscariot," as a friend just called him, is, in retrospect, a Halliburton whore with delusions of statesmanship. He is dug in like a disease-ridden tick into the flesh of American government, taking his cut, pushing policy in the direction that benefits him and his foul family the most.

That cut is more important than the lives and treasure of America that he has wasted during his career. And of course, his piggish daughter, the disgraced Wyoming representative who was absolutely destroyed by the good people of The Cowboy State when she exposed herself as the spawn of her grasping father, is just as bad.

They have never seen a war fought with our blood and treasure they didn't support, and they have no concept of the simple idea that America is a grand place with a unique and special political system, and it and its people are worthy of their love, their loyalty, and their unwavering support.

But they see this great country as a source for money and power, and anyone who gets in the way of their all too common grift is deserving of their scorn and vitriol.

Lard-ass Liz Cheney was bitterly critical of Chlamydia Harris during the 2020 primary campaign, correctly calling her out as a "radical liberal," is now, along with her senile father, supporting her!

Their grift is more important than anything, and they are willing to whore themselves out to the highest bidder.

The fever dreams of the NeverTrumpers have never been based in anything other than a childish dislike of Trump The Man, rather than his eminently rational policies. The Uniparty is proudly...angrily against American values, and Trump is standing in their way. They would rather hasten the end of American exceptionalism and drive us into the 3rd world path of ever-growing entitlements, onerous restrictions on commerce, and unfettered immigration.

Just peer across the Atlantic Ocean to see how that turns out!

These people have a coherent political ideology. They have NEVEN been on your side, or stood for what they sold themselves as.

I have noted before that I come from a family of GOP establishment types; this is who these people really are. It's been a con from the start. It's not that people with real convictions don't last in DC... it's that those with convictions that don't match the uniparty aren't allowed to last in DC.

This isn't about a blind hate of Trump the man at all. Trump is a 90's moderate Democrat and always has been - to the right of Bill Clinton, with a more genuine love of the US and (unlike Bill) an unwillingness to sell us out. The hate for PDT is because that is simply the playbook for prog upper levels (i.e., the establishment, now) to use against both internal and external enemies. The middle and lower levels go along because that's how you climb the prog ladder; and this is all part of the prog playbook BECAUSE the cat ladies and fruity college profs and dindu-nuffins eat it all up.

The first they do in Haiti when somehow manage to aquire property is build a big wall topped with shards of glass to keep the other Haitians out. They do this even if the only thing they own is land with a wall around it.

They are not being sent to red states to vote - they are being sent there to just be themselves to steal whatever they can get their hands on.

In this case, I suspect there's more, specifically parental guilt. Cheney senior clearly advised his daughter to throw in with the NT crowd , including the J6 committee (pronounced lynch mob). As a result, she was thrown out of office, and I'm sure the former veep feels some responsibility.

I believe that is what finally ended their friendship. Rasmussen has two successive polls showing Trump expanding his lead and also showing independents are running away from Harris. 938 had a slight decrease in Trumps winning percentage but still above 60%. Harris failed to address the two areas the NYT/Siena poll highlighted. My guess is she has lost Independents for good.
