We had received a check from the insurance company for the windstorm damage. Unfortunately, our mortgage holder is also on the check and has to endorse it. And they need all kinds of documentation along with the check.

So we had to run around today gathering all that and got it sent off. Soon, we hope, they'll send us a check we can deposit and pay down the monstrous expenses we have and will incur.

The girl spawn is home for the weekend and we had to go out for a drive on I-69. On the way back we saw a Tesla Cyber truck. I saw the hideous thing in the rear view and was alarmed. Evidently people who are stupid enough to buy and drive one of those ugly things can't drive any better than that idiot who drives a Jeep. Anywho... The girl spawn got pics and video to share with her friends. She was very excited to see one in the wild. It seems those "vehicles" are getting brutalized for being so ugly.

Carbs are okay! You need them! But how you get them is important. Legumes, whole grains, fruits, veggies. All good for you. You need fats and protein, too. Weight loss is calories in, calories out. Portion size is important. A serving of protein is the size of your palm. A serving of carbs like brown rice or quinoa is a very tight fist. Cheese is your thumb. The rest of your plate is veggies, leafy greens, make it a rainbow. Squash, peppers, green beans, carrots. You can eat so much of that for very little calories but important micronutrients. Just not covered in cheese sauce.

Let’s make it better! Make sure your bread is truly whole grain / sprouted grain and low / no sugar. Ezekiel bread, Dave’s powerseed, Natures Own whole wheat with no added sugar are good options. Your thumb is a tablespoon. That is the amount of nut butter you should use, again looking for low to no sugar added. Instead of jelly, put sliced strawberries, blueberries or both on the bread. Drink this with some lemon water, coffee if you partake (no sugar! Unsweetened almond milk for creamer).

Banana bread version- oats, almond milk, yogurt, 1/2 smashed banana, 2 tablespoons roughly chopped walnuts, 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

I add flax seed to all my oats - a few pinches.

319 I am assuming the Skip means the SCOTUS would step in. I think that is pretty likely. Everyone knows the case is fatally flawed, but SCOTUS is usually interested in letting appeals work through the system first.

However, we have had 2 or 3 emergency stays of judgements recently from SCOTUS. Quite possible they would rule that Trump can't be put in prison because of some technicality involved with their immunity decision until all the legal issues are resolved.
