The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

The destruction of "Woman" as a social, cultural, and biological concept continues apace. In Simone de Beauvoir's The Second Sex, she writes about women occupying a secondary position in culture, being relegated to the position of "other."

That was 1949.

Today? Women are no longer "other," they are being pushed to extinction. A secondary position is no longer acceptable to the cultural arsonists of the left, whose only purpose in life is to destroy society, so the socialist paradigm of a "New ~~Soviet~~ Man" can be achieved. And if they have to use the current lunacy of transgenderism as a hammer with which to break society? Then so be it.

But the cultural battlefield is strewn with the casualties of trans lunacy. Awkward and confused teenagers are now being pushed by the medical-political-educational complex to chop off their genitalia, take powerful and destructive drugs, and go beat up some girls on the soccer field or basketball court.

Do you even need a quotation? You know exactly what it says...a sociopathic judge has subverted the will of the people and taken that progressive hammer to our culture. And if a bunch of teen-aged girls who just want to play soccer are hurt? Eh, the radical redesign of our society is more important than the individual!

The reality...the biological reality...is that it is impossible to transmutate a man into a woman or a woman into a man. From the moment of conception the structure of a man's body is radically different than a woman's. Broad shoulders, narrow hips, the angle of those hips in relation to the legs, muscle mass, and a thousand other structural and physiological differences are set just a few months after conception. And then it gets really serious! The ratios and quantities of the many hormones that control growth are radically different in girls and boys, and no amount of ghoulish manipulation of those chemicals by evil social engineers will reverse that.

But it's even worse than that. Merely "identifying" as a girl is sufficient in many places! And the message implicit in that insanity is that "Woman" is a nonsense construct that can be cast aside. Never mind that in traditional -- correct-- societies, women are placed at the pinnacle of those societies because they do the single most important, wonderful, magical thing: they bear and raise children. Everything else pales in comparison. Accepting the premise that anyone can be a "woman" trivializes that singular ability, and demeans the real women in our culture.

In a few generations we have moved from woman as "other," to woman as "nothing."

The only way we can recover from this insanity is to reject the premise in its entirety. Humoring a lunatic man who claims to be a woman is accepting the destruction of our culture. Allowing men into women's sports is allowing the destruction of our culture. Demand acceptance of the biological imperative. Never let your daughters step onto a field on which a man is pretending to be a woman. Never accept the destruction of our language...pronouns are not a choice!

And most of all, fight to return women...real women...to their place at the pinnacle of our culture.

Yeah... that's a bit of an exaggeration.

Our culture is being destroyed by THOUSANDS of little cuts, but "women's sports" is almost completely irrelevant to our culture. It's a fun little sop for girls, but nobody watches them, nobody really cares about these things. They are good training for women to be fit and healthy, but that could be accomplished in many other ways.

(And I say this not from animosity. Women's sports are a historical aberration. It won't survive the coming muslim conquering of Western Culture.)

Interestingly, I have occasion for work to visit VA Clinics on the Navajo Reservation in NE Arizona.

Was chatting with a female Navajo nurse whom I'd seen earlier -- and good-naturedly -- confronting her white, male, micro-managing bass and imploring him to "back off" and "quit looking over her shoulder."

I told her that I admired her independence and standing up to her boss (whose controlling behavior has resulted in a number of his white female subordinates quitting), and she said that it's because she's a "Navajo woman and we are a matriarchal society."

I think I'd heard or knew that but had forgotten ... anyway, at least some cultures still revere women.

Maintaining membership in the group - "belonging" in modern parlance - is paramount. Group *selection* is utterly crucial, because maintaining status within the group is a monumentally important thing.

A female friend group where nobody is divorced is less likely to encounter divorce. A female friend group where some are divorced is likely to see more divorce. That belonging *must* be maintained.

This is rampant in high tech. I've had numerous colleagues "go trans" over the past several years. I don't know if it's worse in high tech than it is in HR, because I don't work in HR. But it is uncommon though no longer rare in high tech.

Maybe it's because high tech is fairly unreal from the start, especially software and systems. There's no literal, real "there" there. It can warp perspective. Everything is mutable.

It's a matriarchy, and matriarchies fail which is why there are damn few of them. There's a fairly serious incentive problem with them. If you want a man to work his fingers to the bone, give him his own wife and children (actually his, not somebody else's). He'll produce more than you ever thought possible. Without that incentive, he'll produce just enough to avoid the whip.

The way I saw it presented was that he was an unpaid volunteer, because his DUI prevented him from being in the official position. So he volunteered to go look at high school junk in the locker room, while contemporaneously, or thereabouts, being a faculty advisor to a student grooming group.

Depends on the company and if they're really successful and make real money. I want to say.. 90% of tech companies in a given field are bullshit, assuming the whole field isn't bullshit. I'm usually working for the 10% that pulls down serious money. Like, we could fund space missions or pay for entire warships kinda money. For now, anyways, this is likely changing soon with the current employer's hard left turn.

Companies that are overly woke can't maintain success long term, the woke hiring kills them. Companies that have their shit together attract and keep seriously competent people. Some I've worked for had a bunch of women in very senior roles, but they were among the best in *the world* at what they did. Nobody got a free ride.

All hate sessions do is teach the faithful and possible strayers from The Party that they will be hounded for badthink if they at any time have dissident thoughts. They denigrate it all the time. I once had a guest lecturer in college. He was from a coal mining family in NY. He got a full ridge scholarship to university, but dropped out because he didn't like it. He moved to NYC and literally became a drug-addicted street bum. He got tired of that, put his life back together, got back into school, graduated, and became a college professor.

The theme of his talk was all about how horrible America is and how nasty and exploitative capitalism is. During the Q&A, I asked him, "You grew up poor. You earned opportunities you rejected. You became a vagrant. You got back on your feet, earned another opportunity, and now are a tenured professor at a college. How is your story anything *other* than the story of second chances and opportunity that defines the 'American Dream?'"

His answer was illustrative. He said, "most people can't do what I did. I am extremely smart."

You are spot-on with the observation that pronouns are largely a third-person part of speech, meant as shorthand for that person's name or other long-form description (e.g. "Mary" or "the woman in charge of Accounting"). And they are gender-specific as a means of enhancing understanding rather than distorting it.

If I am referring to the individual I am conversing with the only pronoun I need to refer to that person is "you". Doesn't matter what word you choose to refer to yourself.

(P.S. I am glad you used Peter Paul and Mary in your example rather than Tom, Dick and Harry, for obvious reasons)

Here in Canada, logging and other industrial bush roads have dedicated VHF radio channels, and all industrial users need to have a VHF radio equipped with that channel. And you must call your location. Vehicles going outbound into the bush are, by convention, "empty", and vehicles coming out of the bush towards the highway are "loaded". So if I am on my way to the rig in my suburban, I would pass the 2km marker, and call "four wheeler, 2 km, empty". You call, even if you can't hear traffic on the channel.
