Anime Bingo

Naki and Iku of Prima (formerly Sony's Prism Project) are both having anime bingo reviews. They're members-only streams so I can't link to them, but here's my card.

I highly recommend every single anime series listed.

Our little dope of a pooch can be fussy. He usually gets dry kibble for dinner. Sometimes he wants a little water in it, but not always. One day, i put out his food in his little dinner ritual, he picks up a mouthful, drops it on the floor dramatically, and gives me a little audible huff and a dirty look.

Ungrateful little shit. He ain't even a foofy little purebred show dog. He's a certified, pre-owned, All-American pittie mix, just putting on airs.

I still love the little blockhead though.

They're scheduled today to put the Kentucky board fence in along the front of the property. The new fence line will be set back from the old fence line; the only question is how much. I want some room to be able to mow there but at the same time I also want some room to plant bushes as a wind break.

I suppose Her Majesty and I will discuss it and compromise on whatever it is she wants.

I should put on my around-the-house shirt and pants, too. Sitting in your PJs and robe is something you do when you're sick -- so to do it makes me feel less than healthy. Yes, it makes little sense, but we live in a Clown World, so why not.

One refresh of the comments and I see...
Thanks for including the passage, Fen!
Over the years I have learned to read God's Word for myself and trust the Holy Spirit to show me what He wants me to learn.

61 My elder daughter (ED) is up, getting ready for work, so all the cats are sitting around, staring in whatever direction she went, waiting for food. I have Squeak next to me. She started off as ED's cat only but warmed up to me eventually and now I'm her second favorite human. She spends all day with me and the night usually split between ED and me. My neighbor found this really tiny kitten in his chicken coop and brought her over. I'm surprised some hen didn't eat her. She's 6 years old now. She has not taken to younger daughter (YD) for some reason and until lately would hiss at her.

I tried a couple Bible study groups once upon a time. Proddy, Papist, you name it.

Not much use to me in being asked a question, then having my answer, right wrong or indifferent, be completely ignored and unacknowledged and having some copypasta regurgitated at me by someone who can't even spell "exegesis".

If anyone has found themselves a good study group, cherish it like the rare gold it is.

Pipe tobacco and cars. Color photos of American cars (and earlier, artists' paintings of them), and full-page ads in black-and-white for Volkswagen Beetles. Washing machines and television consoles.

When ad agencies used paintings of their products, life seemed a lot more energetic and colorful, somehow.

And the car ads used to tout the autos' styling, luxury features, and power, not merely safety and gas mileage. VW trumpeted their mileage, true, but their ads did it in a charming, self-effacing way. Buying a Bug when your neighbors had a Pontiac or Oldsmobile made you different, they wanted you to think -- different and forward-looking.

In the British classic car magazines, they still use "mileage," though it's usually "fuel mileage" rather than "gas mileage"; they have a lot of diesel cars. They don't say "kilometrage." Though they do measure it in "litres per 100 kilometres" instead of "miles per gallon."

137 Crooks was talking to Yearick before Yearick climbed on the roof and never got a round off because the panicked cops jogging around the building had caught the watchful eye of the SS snipers who knew something was amiss.

Because the hustle and bustle of police activity had caught their attention and they were scanning the area waiting for the slightest thing out of place, and then seeing a head and rifle raised up above the roofline through their optics...

Except that's not what happened. Which is why I don't think Yearick ever fired a shot.

140 It's light outside but no sun yet. Damp, of course, but less hot than it was yesterday at this time. Good time for me to wash and gas up the car. The problem is, the carpets need to be shampooed, and the car wash near the gas station does not have such a machine. Plus I have to take out the rubber floor mats, vacuum, and dry the carpet as well as wash the car's exterior.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Maybe I'll spray some Febreze on the carpets and let it go until the weather improves. Say, about December.

Thank you.
In the rest of the English-speaking world it's called petrol. Gas refers usually to LPG or propane. South America has numerous vehicles that run on LPG or propane. We say gas but mean gasoline, which would be less confusing.
Liters per 100km means that the smaller the number the better the mileage, unlike the mpg. It makes sense in a world where gasoline is expensive and one can decide how many liters to buy depending on distance needed to travel.

I don't think the Secret Service would ever admit that there was a second shooter and that he got away. I think it's great that Trump wants to go back to Butler and hold another rally to raise money for the victims... but if there's a killer on the run in the area it seems less then wise with Keystone Kops running the show.

Ha. that's about the most government thing I've seen recently.

Instead of just not making a specific Pac-Man shaped cutout for this obvious sniper position, we're going to pay one of our friends $3M to put up a few sheets of plexiglass.

194 I watch some anime every now and then.
I’ve only seen two shows from Pixy’s card; Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop has been around so long and got so popular I watched it somewhere decades ago, not even sure if I’ve seen the entire thing. I tried watching the live action remake on Netflix a few years back and got bored with it a few episodes in.

Black Lagoon was recommended to me by a Twitter follower back in 2011 or so. I liked it, great little adventure story, Remy is a badass cutie, sexy in her Daisy Dukes, and funny, and I loved the assassin maid and her back story. All around great adventure story with great characters.

I probably need to watch Black Lagoon again as it’s been so long, and I’m not sure if I completely watched both seasons.

All we know about Crooks is that his body was cremated 10 days after the shooting. Whoops! Whoopsies! Sorry, were we not allowed to do that?

What we know about Yearick - besides clearly being the guy in the photo with earlobe repair - is that he's been arrested in the past for violent antifa actions, his family is from Arizona, his parents own some sort of explosives and weapons shop, and that he's been missing since the shooting.

Hey remember the van from Arizona that was wired with explosives? Weird, huh?

If you just need the CPU, motherboard, and a case Newegg.com and Amazon are good for buying new stuff. I got a Coolermaster case for around $60 on Amazon in January, even had a front panel USB-C.

If you don’t mind buying used go to eBay and Jawa.com (which has good deals all around for used and new).

You could always try Facebook Marketplace for local deals on specific used parts too, and buy from somebody directly.

Until we start waterboarding everyone involved until we reach the one who ordered the Code Red (who likely isn't even a US citizen) only those directly involved will know what happened.

The scary part, there is no one in government who I would trust to work for We The People to do the waterboarding.
