It's not about these idiots being brave, it's about their enablers in the local government using those same phones and other things to throw the book at YOU, while letting these asshats off.
It's that other group and peoples' tolerance of them / unwillingness to put the screws to them that is the root of the problem.

Which, I think is partly true. We can improve the system. The system could use some improvement. But the more and more drastic you make the changes the more you're changing the whole environment from which you are making projections, so the more unknowns you're inviting in the door.

The prosperity promised generally evaporated. This was not an accident, it was done deliberately by western progs. Fiscal policy, throwing the borders open, blowing various bubbles, none of this was by accident.
Look at individual net worth + home ownership across the various generations comparing them at the same ages. Look at the real inflation adjusted wages. It becomes abundantly clear why people don't believe in capitalism, when they've been told their whole lives that what we have is capitalism and then "educated" away from understanding why things are the way they are now.

I finally saw Madame Web after the DVD sat on my shelf for months. The consensus is that it’s excrement. I disagree. The movie is what oozes out of a fat hobo junkie’s monkeypox asshole after being gang-raped by a gaggle of other fat hobo junkies. Then they hawk tua the asshole.

On a practical note... some people really like to bag on newer things as being less proven than some other options, but if you look at, say, something like 6.5CM or .260 Remington it becomes much, much easier to turn a marginal shooter into an adequate shooter. The exterior ballistics are just that much better. Also, there are very few female characters, and they fill traditionally "womanly" types of roles. Galadriel is sitting in her forest watching her power and world fade, but she's a good hostess, providing clothes and food for the all-male fellowship that's actually doing the work.
Offhand, the only female character I can think of who actually does anything is Eowyn, and her character is the traditional cross dressing, taking over the dead fiancé role of epic tales.

I lost my shit with coworkers a couple months ago when we did a code drill (I pretended to code, and went down on the floor unresponsive) and everyone just stood around and looked at each other and didn't do anything. I got up after a minute or so and told them they were assholes and would be more likely to whip out their cellphones and take pictures and video than they were to respond to a medical emergency in the clinic.

I lost my shit with coworkers a couple months ago when we did a code drill (I pretended to code, and went down on the floor unresponsive) and everyone just stood around and looked at each other and didn't do anything. I got up after a minute or so and told them they were assholes and would be more likely to whip out their cellphones and take pictures and video than they were to respond to a medical emergency in the clinic.

When it gets a little tight, and the world coming at us will get tighter, there isn't time for it. The soy boys and cat ladies will be the first to feel its impact. The coming world of relative scarcity will fix more of this than we realize. When your stomach is full and the money is rolling in and there isn't much you have to do to get it, its easy to go off and societal tangents. I agree with Prager (as usual). I do disagree, however, that women aren't violent or prone to aggression. They sure as hell are. Half of the mob fights on social media are started by and fully participated in by women.
I would add that it's also a matter of policing bad conduct. Men -- especially white men -- face endless scrutiny and possible punishment for their conduct. They are keenly aware that if they made bad decisions or even mistakes, they will face consequences.
By contrast, women can do whatever they want, no matter how insane or destructive, and they always get a free pass -- if not congratulated.

When Starliner had an issue I was like hey here's an idea why not use SpaceX? It is already a man-rated system and they shoot them up there all the time.

The biggest problem now is that the Starliner really isn't intended to be operated remotely. NASA doesn't want it to land manned despite the fact that the spacecraft seems to be working well enough for that to not be unreasonably risky, and although they desperately need to free up the docking port on the ISS, NASA risk aversion is going to wind up driving some decisions that are unreasonably risky. I mean, Boeing has problems, but the current situation with Starliner has a lot to do with NASA decision.
