I decided 20 years ago that Paris was the most beautiful city at least of the ones I’ve been to. Everyone has their own criteria, but to me when you say some place is a beautiful city that has a particular meaning. London and Rome are great cities with amazing architecture and amazing things to see, But neither are beautiful cities.
Washington DC is probably our most beautiful city yet still a crap hole so, The city layout isn’t everything. For sure, there are other places that are smaller and considered to be cities that could make an argument. But to me, it is about the layout of the city itself and with large world cities, and also major cities in America that is usually very haphazard. Having said the above, I’m not really that into cities anymore, I can’t think of a major one that I have much interest in visiting, Maybe Tokyo for the experience. And then the Lord spake unto Joe and said, "Behold! I shall make you the leader of a great nation. And thou shalt collect unto thineself the riches of many foreign potentates and tithe unto me a tenth of what thee collect so that righteous works may be performed in my name."
But Joe rather sent forth his son and many riches did indeed flow unto them and yet he withheld the tenth saying unto himself, "I am the Big Guy and therefore the tithe shall be rendered unto me. For who can better perform these works than I?" And then the Lord became angry with Joe, rebuking him saying, "Thou hast sent forth thy son to perform my command, who has given himself over to harlotry, incestuousness, drunkenness and sloth and thou hast also withheld my tithe in thine greed and hubris and so shall I strike thee down and remove thee from the seat of power I bestowed upon thee and a cackling harlot shall replace thee and thine name shall be held in disgrace ever henceforth." And what vestiges of Joe's comprehension were wrested from him and the powers of the great nation usurped his authority and cast him into the low places of the Earth. I think that makes them more susceptible to believing official narratives, because it's the easiest thing for them to wrap their heads around: If someone wearing a badge or with a title says it, it must be true. I'm perfectly willing to be labeled a neo-isolationist or whatever. But wanting to engage only in wars of necessity, declared by congress as intended, and fought to win so that young men aren't asked to risk and give up their lives for nothing of value and national treasure is not reallocated to the military industrial complex (which is just a nice way of saying stolen from the people at gun point through taxation for the benefit of war profiteers) is not really isolationism. Our superpower foreign entanglements should be curtailed. We are not in a bipolar cold war anymore and our foreign and military policy should change to reflect the changed circumstances. One of the things I came to understand of the people I know personally, who went to law school, is that they have a hard time with speculation.
A good conspiracy theory is just a case built on circumstantial evidence (which has the same evidentiary value as direct evidence). This is the norm in all kinds of cases, including fraud and conspiracy cases. Because wrongdoers don't tend to give big "yes, I ordered the Code Red" speeches in real life. So I don't think it's legal education that's the issue. It's that lawyers are credentialists and strivers, seeing themselves as being above the hoi polloi. (My take from 2+ decades of being one.) The Brazilian case is probably ecgonine if it's human waste or may be actual cocaine if it comes from 'factories' via the Amazon River.
