>>The solution is always to spend more. The USSS budget is going to go up bigly. Well with the addition of the drone squirrel, they are now adding the FAA to the mix. Modern drones have gps transponders that report their position and location and if thy enter protected air spaces, bells and whistles start to go off in the systems, the airspace for the rally would have been in that system or should have been. So the whole he flew a drone over the event should be impossible and or known immediately. Also drones are a high priority threat assessment item and part of any security plan or counter threat program. I was taking a vacation to Cancun and booked on a Mexican airline LaTour to depart from LaGuardia. We started down the runway to take off and right before the nose was to go up the pilot shut it down. As we recovered from the whiplash and taxing back to the terminal the pilot came on and said a warning light had come on and we were going back to check it out. After an hour of sitting in the plane the pilot came back on and announced. ‘They were not able to find the cause of why the warning light came on and cleared us to depart again so we’ll give it another shot’

Posted by: Tammy-al Thor at July 19, 2024 11:44 PM (Vvh2V) a good friend of our family died that way. She had been in remission from breast cancer for 5 years, was very sensitive to her health, unfortunately she was all in on the belief you had to be vaxxed and was militant about it. Anyway, after the 3rd shot her cancer came back and went turbo, she died in 5 months. I don't fault her, I fault the people she put her trust in who killed her. Iran's bomb project progress:
What Blinken said was that Iran was "one or two weeks away from having enough fissible material" to make a bomb. That's different. If Iran was one or two weeks away from actually testing a bomb, IAF would be making a lot of new craters where their nuclear facilities used to be. I read an interesting article in the Middle East Forum (MEF), I think it was. It speculated that the Ayatollahs had permitted the "reformer" to run for President (and win), because the regime knows how unpopular it is & is trying to relieve some of that pressure. An observation:
I've noticed of late that if I listen to studio songs of my youth on YouTube (not live cuts), even supposedly off the original album (at least that's the thumbnail, but maybe a 'new edition' release), some of them sound 'different'. I've listened to certain songs hundreds of times, in dozens of ways, stoned, driving, drunk, partying, even sober, you name it; the musical notes and tones are ingrained in my brain by this point. Yet certain parts of songs feel 'off', for want of a non-musical term, usually guitars. I noticed that with 'I'm Your Captain', from Grand Funk (which I have overplayed on album and have on [an older] cd as well), certain points in the song sound different, a certain tone to the music, just slightly altered. Same with some Yes songs, and others. Is it just me and my 29-year-old Joememory or is something more nefarious going on? Posted by: RickZ at July 20, 2024 12:59 AM (gKDq2) 439

There are some that are moronic, analyzing every little thing. To paraphrase Sigmund Froid, sometimes a song is just a song. But sometimes they 'get' why it was popular. It's REAL music played by real musicians, not Autotune. But what I end up thinking is these people have no idea the song they just listened to on YouTube for free cost me three to four bucks (on an album), with the minimum wage barely being two dollars an hour, so an investment. These reaction channels with hundreds of songs have no idea how much it cost back then to actually have those hundreds of songs available at your fingertips. And the space required to have those hundreds of songs available at one's fingertips. Albums are a bitch to store. Between the component stereo systems with the large side table-sized speakers and the albums, a lot of apartments' real estate was used up. I doubt their terms of service allows a customer to sue, just go into some BS arbitration process. Their real purpose is so that you can show the insurance company that you were trying to keep the bad guys out when you got hacked. I'm just going to come out and say it: The best damn feta cheese is Bulgarian Feta. Accept no other.
(Made hummus, had lettuce, bought some Kalamatas AND Bulgarian Feta. Found out about Bulgarian Feta in 1981, just having moved to Brooklyn. First time I bought the 'Bulgado' feta. It was delicious, kind of creamy. Haven't seen it since. Then I saw it in the deli of a nearby grocery store a few years back. I couldn't believe my luck. When you want feta, it's not the kind of cheese you buy one pound of. There will be . . . snacking. Also makes a great bacon/mushroom/feta omelette, a personal favorite stolen from a neighborhood diner.)
