Question - why didn't he?
1) No sitting U.S. attorney would agree to touch this bullshit case with a 10-foot pole.

As others have said, an AK-47 pistol looks like a mini-AK, but with no stock sticking out behind the pistol grip. I think the Dracos mentioned are still in 7.62x39 (same as a regular AK) so they pack a little bit of punch. I'm kinda surprised I haven't seen any in 9x18 Makarov. As also mentioned, you can build (or buy) AR pistols, as well - in 5.56 (or other rifle calibers) or in pistol calibers.

It is that, yes. With the upside (for us) that there's no limit to their losses while shorting. If you buy a share (long) for $10, the worst the stock can do is go to $0, and you're out your $10. If you short a $10 share and it goes to $100, you're out $90.
Shorting is actually borrowing stock. You borrow that $10 share from me, and sell it for $10. So you're even at that point. Then you buy a share when it drops to $5, and give it back to me. And you made $5.
If the shares go up to $100 instead, you're in trouble.
The GameStop (GME) fiasco was an interesting attack on institutional short sellers. Mostly because, IIRC, they were shorting more shares of GME than actually existed, so when the price spiked, the hedge funds couldn't buy back enough shares to cover their borrowing, because there literally weren't that many shares. On top of which, the "trolls" that were running up the price refused to sell.

I also believe they call that a 'naked' or unprotected short and yes - as you implied - there is potential for unlimited loss if the stock goes to the moon before you can buy shares to cover the short. Most investors would buy options to protect against unlimited loss.

If you wanted to be 100% sure of safety, you took possession of the stock certificates, because there was a theoretical chance if the brokerage went bust, you might come to find those shares you thought you owned don’t exist. How often that ever happened, I dunno.
Found stock certificates cost money to research, before they can be sold. I can understand why it was done this way, but now that everything is electronic I can well imagine the temptation is great to maybe sell a stock 2 or 3 times if you “know what you are doing”. Or not.

Yes. Looks legit. They claimed all puts were multiplied by 10,000. I looked up their filing on the SEC site. There is a filing on the 12th and an amended filing on the 16th. The numbers in the filings agree with their claim.

It was an incredible trilogy. I also liked how the fantasy aspect was not given prominence by too much CGI. That they had an actor in a 'movement' suit to get Gollum's character's action, then use CGI to put in body features was good throughout the movies for all the fantasy characters, that is the non-human or hobbit ones. Great location choice, too.
Things were left out like Tom Bombadil and The Scourging of the Shire, but geez, it was a lot to cover and the movies were extremely credible in the execution. I even hated Sean Bean as Boromir, until he found himself again at his end, and I like Bean as an actor. He made me hate him with that portrayal.

It does occur to me that Biden announcing he has the 'vids is not unlike that moment in the 2008 race when McCain suspended his campaign after the economy officially shat the bed. This is my take too. The Democrats know the presidency is gone and everything now Is an attempt to hold on to the Senate and not get slaughtered in the House. The calculus now seems to be going into the convention with a sparkly new candidate, still a disaster, is far better than the complete disaster of having Biden on that big stage yelling and whispering incoherently. It Is certain Biden will have another catastrophic performance in public and the fallout from that is the end of the Democrat Party for a while. This security blocking US senators thing is curious. Also, Ted Cruz was on Faux earlier tonight describing this conference call they (the entire Senate, he said) had with Cheatin' Cheetos.
He said it was some fancy conference call set up and you had to press some buttons on the touch tone to "que up" to ask a question.
They only took four questions he said, and "didn't allow" any more.

Re the bullet trace thing. I was reading up on this the other day. There are two effects. A bullet trace proper is a refraction effect cause by the leading shock wave of the supersonic bullet ripping through the air.
The viewing angle is critical to see it. It doesn't appear usually from the side.
What you see in the Trump photo is a "vapor trail" (should be called a condensation trail). The shock wave of the supersonic bullet causes rapid changes in pressure around the bullet. Behind the bullet, during the rarefaction phase of the strong shock wave, if humidity and other conditions are right, the temperature will drop below the dew point, and allow water to condense.
See the "vapor cone" of supersonic aircraft for much larger illustrations of this effect.

Bullet entry was below the nose above the lip. Blood an brain matter visible.

Interesting dream last night. I was at a convention of some kind, sitting in a booth at the hotel restaurant. Three young women were with me. ONe was a tall exotic brunette who said her name, and I said, "Can you spell that?" She said, "You try." So I wrote something on a napkin that ended with "Nadia," and she said, "Pretty good."
The other two girls, who wre pretty but not in Nadia's class, got upset that I was not a Moslem (?!), and left. The next thing I knew, Nadia was sitting on my lap (in a restaurant booth, mind you), and I was stroking her bare golden back and giving her chills. So . . . (cont.)

A tree was most likely blocking the view of those two snipers on the roof we all saw in the photos. That would explain their behavior, taking their eyes off the scopes and all that. They couldn't see, and were looking.
The sniper who took him out were on another roof to the right facing Trump. That is, if you're looking at the video, the kill shot sniper was off the frame to the right.

Then, in the lobby (which looked like a Toys 'R Us), somehow I got roped into a prize game where you had to match images on a board, then remove the board to reveal the next one. I didn't bother with matching, just yanked off each board. I won at last, a yellow-and-green toy fire truck that squirted water. The saleslady said, "That's $179.95." I remarked that a child who'd like such a toy would frighten me. As I was looking around for Nadia . . . I woke up.
"What does it mean, Doctor?" "What do you think it means?"

Anyway, as our illustrious Prez Sponge-Brain likes to say, I got my new driver's license in a quick session, exactly as the title company advertises. The eye exam was the lady holding up a paddle with five letters on it, which I aced. Then, "Cash or card? . . . Stand there, please, and look at the button. . . . Done."

I did have this one dream, a few years after my husband died. I was at a party and met a big shot who took a fancy to me. Nothing sexual, he just liked me. Next scene, I'm in a smallish plane and there's a flap in the back that was down. I sat on it like the tailgate of an old station wagon, with my legs hanging over. The plane was flying kind of low, so you could see all kinds of details in the landscape. I leaned over to get a closer look and whoops! whoopsie! I fell out of the plane.
But, amazingly, I landed on my feet.
There was a building at the edge of the field, with a snooty receptionist. I asked her to call the big shot guy from the party, since I knew he would help me get home. She expressed doubt that I knew him. In the end, she made the call. She was real nice to me after that. Don't remember anything else.
That was a good dream, and gave me the courage to make the leap into a new life.

That is kind of weird, because I had a break in service. So after the second time in and then a civvie again for the second time I'd get dreams where I would try to suss this out with myself. "Wait. I'm not in the .mil any longer. This is a dream" ..... "Are you sure.... Remember..." etc. LOL

Weird, huh? It was 6 am and I can assure you that I never voluntarily get up at 6 am. My dad was shocked to see me.

I had the late-for-a-final for many years after law school. Way too many years. Like academic PTSD. Which is friggin' ridiculous.
The other one I had, for decades, was the house being full of demons or presences. I finally started praying to not have that one anymore. Haven't in a long time.

Another job I had years ago required scanning bar codes periodically after tasks performed. They kept getting progressively more difficult to get to, like an obstacle course some of them required low crawling in dark tunnels to get. LOL!! At least these are somewhat consistent, some dreams are completely nonsense. I wonder if they will ever be able to crack the brain frequency and maybe put on a display the fantastical images in our head while asleep?
