Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | John Stewart Graphs Biden's Cognitive DeclineHe notes just three of Biden's previous shows of dementia. But he does make the point. On Monday's broadcast of Comedy Central's "Daily Show," host Jon Stewart stated that the dismissal of concerns about President Joe Biden's age "also erodes confidence and faith in the system of government. Get on board or shut the [bleep] up...is not a particularly compelling pro-democracy bumper sticker," and stated that Biden's campaign has been massively dishonest with its spin about the debate. Stewart began by saying, "I thought I would take a moment to explain where the concern about Biden's performance might be coming from, and why these concerns may be seen as a more foundational issue. You see, even before the debate, there had been some troubling moments of disconnect from the President." I have it cued up to the funny part. You can stop watching when he starts talking about Trump. Although he does answer liberal spinners who ask, rhetorically, "Why doesn't anyone call out Trump?" He says something like, "Yes, why doesn't any one ever call out Trump, like every single night for the last ten years"? In other words: Yes, we attack Trump constantly. But now is the time to give Biden some actual evaluation. He then goes back to talking about Biden's "cognitive difficulties."

I think the issue is, there are technical and funding issues that preclude Joe from stepping down (resigning) before he is formally nominated at the convention.
He can't "step down" from the scampaign and stay presidentin', it doesn't work that way. Not before the convention anyhow. Could be wrong on this. So everything is theater at this point, most likely. Posted by: Common Tater at July 10, 2024 04:23 PM (UgUZF) 21

Then Jon Stewart took it over and gradually crawled up his own ass to make it "serious" over the course of a few years. He coasted on comedy until he could subvert it. Trump Interview Talk radio with John Fredericks Interview National interview with Fox News Digital Interview With John Reid on Newsradio 1140 WRVA, a local news station based in Richmond, Va. No one talked about them, and then he didn't do a public campaign event for a week. However, the media was refusing to cover his rallies beforehand anyway. Remember the shock at his rally in NY? Like, 2016 was primarily Hillary's fuckup, followed by a lack of imagination and resolve on the part of the DNC and various prog factions and their masters. I cannot believe that after the 2016 disaster, and then after the sea change in prog propaganda/psyop/lawfare in 2019 and their resulting coup in 2020, that they ACTUALLY would fuck 2024 up so badly. 181 Exercise is overrated. Portion control (and not eating crap) is the best way to lose weight.
Posted by: Bulgaroctonus at You are one of my favorites, but you are wrong here. It’s both. To lose 2 pounds a week, you need to cut 500 calories a day. That is pretty daunting. If you workout and burn 250 active calories, you now have to cut 250 calories, which is much more manageable and less likely to set people up for failure like the 500 calorie cut. Additionally, if you lose weight without exercise, you tend to lose muscle mass versus fat. This is the opposite of the goal- with that in mind, the goal should be more than a number on the scale. Exercise increases muscle mass, which looks a lot better than fat, increases bone density, which is important especially as we age, and it improves your mental health. When you start to feel better mentally, you start to make better choices in all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. This is a journey. It is not overnight. People give up quickly, and diets suck. The truth is you have to change your lifestyle and this is the only way you stop gaining and losing the same 20 pounds. Posted by: Piper at July 10, 2024 05:02 PM (pZEOD) 243

Posted by: Common Tater at July 10, 2024 04:58 PM (UgUZF) ++++ To lose weight, energy in must be lower than energy out. The bigger the deficit - within reason - the bigger the effect. How you get that energy does matter, but limiting yourself to 1500 calories a day in Sweet Tarts (h/t TJM) will still work. You might starve to death and hurt your organs, but it will work for weight loss. And yeah, the first two weeks or so of that *really* sucks and you're hungry all the time. Power through that, though, and it gets easy. I was freaking miserable at the end of last year and the early this year, after I started. Then, fairly suddenly, it was okay. But you have to get through the suckitude upfront and, if you didn't already do it, need to set schedules to keep yourself on task. It does take effort. No, any "diet" will start fat burning. Provided there is a:
Caloric deficit. The end. It isn't any more complicated than this. That doesn't make it *easy*, and that's why people want to muddy the water, to try and make it look deep. It is very simple to lose fat. That is not to say it isn't difficult to keep up with day, after day. It takes discipline and willpower. (notice "they" say that has nothing to do with it as well) If you exercise, you will burn more calories. You could eat nothing but XXL Hershey Bars if you want. You won't like it. 281 Eating a shit-ton of carbs (thanks, "food pyramid"!) doesn't help if you have a sedentary sitting on your ass job.
Posted by: Helena Handbasket I know this isn’t popular, but you need carbs. You don’t plan a long trip without fueling up. Carbs are fuel for your body. The types of carbs absolutely matters and this is where I think people start to glaze over unless you are really into it. But it doesn’t need to be complicated. Portions are easy - a thumb is a portion of cheese. Your palm is protein, your fist is high quality carbs, true whole grains. If you are working out with any sort of regularity and you cut carbs to the bone, you will not do as well as you would if you ate the right carbs ( and proteins and fats). Instead of the dumb pyramid, use your plate. Portions as above, and the rest filled with colorful veggies. Not drenched in butter, cream sauces or cheese. Sorry about that. Bergham is out in my opinion. His state just passed the most restrictive abortion law in the country.
North Dakota on Monday adopted one of the strictest anti-abortion laws in the country as Republican Gov. Doug Burgum signed legislation banning the procedure throughout pregnancy, with slim exceptions up to six weeks’ gestation. In those early weeks, abortions would only be allowed in cases of rape or incest, or in medical emergencies. After six weeks, rape and incest victims cannot get abortions. Abortions to treat some medical emergencies, such as ectopic pregnancies, are allowed at any stage Pregnancy. Posted by: Sharon(willow's apprentice) at July 10, 2024 05:15 PM (t/2Uw) 326

Piper, I lost well over 50 pounds by just gradually reducing my intake. I've always been a pretty avid walker, so maybe that played some role. Biden signals to aides that he would serve only a single term Advisers weigh the merits of a one-term pledge by the 77-year-old former vice president. "Former Vice President Joe Biden’s top advisers and prominent Democrats outside the Biden campaign have recently revived a long-running debate whether Biden should publicly pledge to serve only one term, with Biden himself signaling to aides that he would serve only a single term. While the option of making a public pledge remains available, Biden has for now settled on an alternative strategy: quietly indicating that he will almost certainly not run for a second term while declining to make a promise that he and his advisers fear could turn him into a lame duck and sap him of his political capital. According to four people who regularly talk to Biden, all of whom asked for anonymity to discuss internal campaign matters, it is virtually inconceivable that he will run for reelection in 2024, when he would be the first octogenarian president. “If Biden is elected,” a prominent adviser to the campaign said, “he’s going to be 82 years old in four years and he won’t be running for reelection. You had 2 years, Jon, the primaries are over and 14m ppl voted for biden and no one else even has a single delegate. Now you want to throw that out and have ANOTHER primary since things aren't going your way. Sorry, that's not how it works, although the dems are so corrupt and 'anything to win" power hungry that they may pull something like this crap. They are going to piss off a lot of their own voters if they do. biden still has strong support among the true believers.
