Nashville Trans Shooter Had Daddy Issues, Wanted to Kill Her Father, According to Leaked Journal Entries Newly leaked pages from the Nashville school shooter’s journal depict a profoundly disturbed young woman with intense daddy issues. Audrey Elizabeth Hale, who identified as a trans male, targeted the Christian Covenant School on March 27, 2023, killing three children and three members of the school’s staff before being shot dead by responding officers. Even though police shot the suspect dead inside the school, the FBI has repeatedly refused to release Hale’s writings, arguing that doing so “could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings.” Washington teens arrested for scuffing Pride crosswalk with scooters could face 5 years behind bars Washington teens arrested for allegedly defacing a “Pride” mural learned just how severely the state considered their scooter skid marks that could land them YEARS behind bars. 1. Need to ask these idiots to name each and every gender, define it and show us physical examples (not in their heads). 2. If the USSC hears the case and decides for the student, to be fair those 4 judges should be disbarred for violating Free Speech rights. Blatant disregard of our rights cannot be tolerated. Regarding the Spokane Pride bullshit, there is an internal battle going on regarding the level of charges. My source is involved on the juvenile side. The initial response was there is no chargeable crime here. The PA involved on the adult side is considerably less experienced and she is on the opposite side of the battle. She originally was going to ask for $30k bail. My source advised her strongly against any bail and warned her that the Court Commissioner assigned would not look kindly upon her playing politics with this case. Her justification was that the CC was both gay and a minority so he would understand her position. What's not reported in the media is the CC's response to that PA. He asked her if she was new and if she understood her role in the legal system. I seriously doubt this will go to trial. The media and the alphabet mafia are making hay with it right now but there are elements involved that realize it is complete bullshit. There are other aspects I won't divulge.

No, it's really not. I work with an Australian partner and Australia is much closer in law and culture to the Canada than it is to the US. Perth is the only part of Australia that is remotely like what most Americans think Australia is like. Much like Canada it has held its allegiance to the crown far longer than we did and the culture and laws are much more similar to the UK and Canada than here. Crocodile Dundee does not live in Sydney or Brisbane or most definitely not Melbourne. Look how Australia responded to the China virus. They had actual camps for non-vaxers and that's not a joke. >>hark attacks have been on the increase here. And I have been struck by lightning, which both explains a lot and answers why I stay out of the water unless it’s my pool. Plus I don’t like seaweed on my toes.
All good and if you don't like the ocean that's fine. But the facts don't lie. Shark attacks get a lot of ink primarily because they are rare and kind of like alien attacks. We tend to shrug and so "Oh well" when someone is just shot or stabbed to death by another human but when a shark attacks, which is exceeding rare given the numbers, it's a major story. But the fact remains the later is far more common and the occurrences are happening much more regularly. We tent to pretend it won't happen to us because if we did we would never leave our homes. You are far more likely to get murdered by another human than you are by a shark or a lighting bolt or both but you still leave your house everyday and don't blink an eye. I trust actual sharks a lot more because facts. I still leave my house because fuck 'em. Posted by: JackStraw at June 11, 2024 11:04 PM (LkLld) 193

Well, I managed to get a motel reservation for my trip to Victoria next month. Three hundred bucks and change for two nights in the town of Duncan, about 30 miles north. Best price in Victoria would have run me 80 bucks more, for a crappy Motel 6. So a half-hour-40 minute road trip, for a wedding that happens at 2:30 in the afternoon. I can manage that.

Short answer: The Equation of Time: https://tinyurl.com/pmnfha4 The EoT "happens" because of two factors, the tilt of the earth's axis, and the eccentricity of the Erf's orbit. The apparent longitudinal speed of the Sun varies due to this, which is what is important for solar time. "Mean solar time" averages that out. The "Mean Sun" is a fictitious sun that moves at constant speed. The apparent or true sun gets ahead and behind that. In the old days before "railroad time" (ie Time Zones and GMT offsets, now UT/UTC), time was an entirely local thing. One couldn't travel or communicate fast enough for that to make any difference. The Equation of Time was known since the Romans, and formalized to pretty good understanding by the 17th century or so, but that didn't even matter really. One set one's watch/clock to noon when the sun was directly overhead. They had a clever little prism device, much cheap that a transit scope that could tell local high noon to within 5 minutes. You aligned the thing due south. When the sun was off meridian, it would project two images of the sun. At high noon, those two images would merge, and that was High Noon.
There's a name for that device, I forget. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at June 12, 2024 01:39 AM (w6EFb) Sundial? Re the size of the House, or the representative to population ratio. See the Federalist Papers on this. The Founders saw this as a balance between "direct faction" (we'd call that special interests" vs the "cabals of the few". The constitution sets an upper limit on the reps/people ration, no more than 1 per 30K (lower limit on people per rep ratio), but does not set a lower limit. That limit is the "faction" limit, but they did not set a "cabal of the few" limit. There are arguments the House should be more like 2000.... 1:30K would be too much, really, but I do think we're at the "cabals of the few" level, and need to expand it. The idea (and read the Federalist Papers for the thinking from the Horses' Moufs on this) was that an individual representative shouldn't be that big of fucking deal. Think of how the Bigs see it. They've got 435 they need to buy off. Raise that to 2000, and that's a little too much. The way the law about this is now is there is a "soft" limit of about 435. The ratio expands to keep that number constant, but each state gets shifted around as the population balance shifts around. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at June 12, 2024 03:07 AM (w6EFb) 455
Whether 2000 or 11,000, with not enough seats many of them could be self-persuaded to do House business online. I'm not sure if there are procedures that require members to be physically present but they make their own rules so they can accommodate themselves. Then these slackers and grafters would have to work next to the people they represent - what horror.

Re the "faction" vs "cabals of the few" the Founders were Going On About. Faction: too many representatives (which they set at 1 per 30K), allow very local, penny-ante differences to rise to the national level. A whimsical example here in South Carlackey. Too many reps, and you get Clempson vs Gamecock disputes at the national level. The Founders wanted each rep to have to handle the Clempson vs Gamecock level at his own conscience. Cabals of the few: the rep to people ratio gets so low that they become an elite, like the Senate. They no longer give a shit, and cut deals with themselves or are bought off. It's funny that they didn't set a cabals of the few limit. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at June 12, 2024 03:26 AM (w6EFb) 459
Now, the Senate was supposed to be the Elite, the American aristocracy. That was checked and balanced by the House, which was to be the "hot blood of the people". The 17th Amendment, popular election of state senators, fucked all that up. Indeed, and I agree, that was the one of the biggest architectural changes to the federal govt ever done, and it fucked things up mightily. The Senate was supposed to represent the states, state goverments, not the people directly. The 17th took the state governments out of the loop entirely. The history of the 17th amendment is complicated. There was a lot of corruption going on, but it did alter the balance of power between the federal govt and the states greatly.
