Let’s talk about our 19 year old bride a minute. If ever there was an example that Snapchat is a terrible thing, here it is. These girls put a filter on their pictures and love that look. But it doesn’t look like them, really. It’s more them adjacent. They want to look like fake them. So much so, they go to a quasi third world country for surgery, because that same surgery in the US or UK is expensive. For a reason. And she still doesn’t look like her filtered pictures!
We can talk about the dumb makeup and iron on eyebrows, but whatever. Crazy make up has been around for eons. In summary, this is a cute girl who should know she is cute just as she is. Or was. Or could be if she washed her face. Posted by: Piper at June 02, 2024 10:00 PM (QzINz) 61

Adam Schiff explained this on a talk show this morning. Trump will be sentenced to prison on July 11th, and the Democrats are hoping that this triggers off "J6" riots (aided and abetted by the FBI, of course), which they can use to completely crack down on the opposition party. Piece of advice - anyone calling for violence online after Trump is sentenced on 7/11 can safely be assumed to be a Fed. The greasy tattooed bandit initiated the encounter with his Beguiling Tales of Lost Wallets incantation, but he was cut off with a quickly employed Words Of Rebuke spell, though this resulted in a hostile stance, and a hand was wisely placed on a Magnum of Three Hundred And Fifty-Seven Reasons To Fuck Off... the bandit fortunately beat a hasty retreat and quickly left with his accomplice in his beat up old silver steed. >>The Democrats are hoping for and expecting riots when Trump is imprisoned.
At the beginning of this season of lawfare this case was widely considered the weakest of all the cases against Trump because it's idiotic. It's so obviously partisan bullshit that Biden did not get the huge bump they were hoping for and instead Trump has raised over $200 million since the verdict and he's enjoying a huge amount of public support. They've made Donald Trump into a martyr. And the other cases are fizzling out. And instead of being bombastic he's being very calm and said in an interview today that his lawyers shouldn't plead that he not be jailed and just let things go forward. None of this has worked out the way they have planned. I have no idea how this is going to play out but I don't think leftists are very happy with how this is unfolding right now. I do earnestly hope that the future U.S. Attorney General, Ken Paxton, is already working on Day One initiatives, filings and Grand Jury launches.
These, to document, indict and prosecute the greatest number of Guilty Democrats as possible, in the shortest amount of time, post-inauguration, as possible. Mostly, for all, Denial of Civil Rights Under Color of Law, Title 18 USC. Section, I'd have to look up, again. ALL of the key players need to face Life, with no possibility of parole. A few of them need to Meet the Needle, as that Title 18 charge does allow for penalties, up to and including death. The kind of Treason they've committed, is deserving of exactly that severity. But, Paxton, or whoever Trump has in mind for the job, needs to be getting busy, behind the scenes, NOW. Draft those Briefs, Draft those Subpoenas, Draft those Filings... have everything ready, save for minor edits, as near to Day One as can be managed. 1. The Ukrainians pulled troops out of other sectors to slow the Russian advance on the northeast city of Kharkov. One of my sons has a summer internship job with Sen. Krysten Sinema's office in Phoenix. Predictably, most of what he's been assigned to do is constituency service-- answering the phone & logging in voicemail messages.
He told me tonight that 90%+ of ALL HER INCOMING MESSAGES are "Free Palestine! Ceasefire now!" This is obviously an organized, national campaign, because AZ doesn't have a sizable Muslim population (yet). There is no corresponding effort by supporters of Israel. I suspect it must drive the goatlovers crazy that despite their tremendous lobbying campaign, Netanyahu has just been invited to address a joint session of Congress. Those big consoles usually sounded pretty good, even without the top end components.
Reason being, intelligent and knowledgeable electronic and audio engineers worked together to meld a balance of adequate electronic performance, a favorable acoustic cabinet to best project the sound from the few-steps-above-cheap speakers which then served those markets. And, the multi-hundred pound cabinets were, of themselves, pretty damn good resonance proof audio environments, relying on their own structure for sound wave reflection and projection, and not to some random wall, sliding glass doors or set of drapes behind the array. Immediately following the mid-century cabinets and internals, the short-lived "gold-faced" stereo era led directly to the 60's, 70s', early '80s Silver Face, mid-Fi and Hi-Fi eras. Stereo at it's best, seldom equaled, especially now. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at June 02, 2024 11:51 PM (e6UQI) 337

Piltdown was much later, around 1912, and was also an intentional fraud, though it was never found out if it was on purpose or a joke, since most of the people blamed for it died in France in the war. Solid State leading to a very few Integrated Circuits in the layout and design. I.C. leading to full digital receivers, the CD revolution, and more. There is a LOT of the "former" eras, that needs revival, and return to the present day. Large, Heavy, REAL transformers, for one. You want audio, you need power. Wee, tiny transformers with an array of amp-switching circuits ahead of them, might save on electrons here or there. But DO NOT match the sound quality of the dinosaur amps. This was back right before bon scott went carbon neutral. Malcolm was a bad ass, but really not that hard to play. You only need to know 1 trick, when you hit that chord you need to make all the strings go off at once. Usually you don't hear individual strings, the chord just appears in it's entirety. Do that and you got it made, you'll nail the sound. Scott Ian is doing exactly that if you watch, fast strum attack and get the chord to just explode at once. My 1979 Sansui G-5700 says Hi ! 85 watts per channel, right. An a modern, 7.1 Onkyo or such says 120 WPC? Let's hook 'em both up to identical sets of 8 ohm speakers. Advent, Infinity, JBL, doesn't matter, just choose a quality pair. Rock 'em if you go 'em. I'll have my Sansui turned up to maybe "2". The other guy will have to turn that Onkyo up to "6" to keep up. Maybe "7". And then his finals will overheat, and the fuse will blow. "Headroom", requires a BIG transformer. Always has, always will. JVC mastered this with their "Super A" amp switching technology. But were smart enough to keep Big ENOUGH transformers in the plan, to survive the demands of High Power Delivery. Much respect for '70s/'80s JVC pro-sumer gear. JVC Super A *Receivers*. Most common failure node was in the pre-amp filtering circuits, which took disparate signal characteristics from various inputs, such as Phono, CD, and Tape, and processed them to give the Amp (and Transformers), a fairly uniform envelope of frequency and amplitude, without resulting in wild spinnings of the Volume, Bass or Treble knobs on the front of the receiver.
JVC made very few SEPARATE Pre-Am & Pure Amp components. And those are HIGHLY sought after items. Because they had very close to zero electronic or audio flaws, for the mid to lower-high range consumer. The true Audiophile, will always find a flaw. They LIVE for finding, the flaws. I remember reading a good article on this a long time ago. It summed it up pretty nicely, and it goes something like this: Everything distorts. You play some recorded source back, or amplify something live, whatever. You're gonna get some distortion. But, different equipment distorts differently. It went out about vacuum tube vs modern solid state amplifiers. They distort differently. So, which sounds better amounts to which distortion you like better. :-) There was a bit about how some people actually prefer some distortion over the real thing. Something sounds better to them when it has a certain distortion. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at June 03, 2024 01:38 AM (w6EFb) 441

You might've been missing on, on a lot. The Audio Freaks aren't so much 'wrong' as they're INSANE! You want "accuracy" in your system. Staging, separation, voice, imaging, production/reproduction. The violinist playing into the mic, needs to be as close to the EXACT SAME violinist you hear through your speakers. Same for vocalists, etc. But, yeah. LOUD is thing, too. See above. I have it tweaked for my living room and when playing FLAC files ride cymbals sound like ride cymbals and I can even tell when the guitarist has it cord plugged in backwards. It isn't my Sansui thang but then again that would probably kill me these days.

If you search on "people like distortion" that can get you started on this. Anyway, in that article I mentioned, the author was a audio engineer. Imagine his task. You want to faithfully reproduce "live sound" as best you can. You set up the system to do that as best you can. As little distortion to get a sound field as best to the real thing as you can. Define that as follows. Imagine someone playing a real guitar in your living room. Now, you want to set up your audio equipment so that it sounds just like that real guitar being played in your living room. This guy does that with expensive equipment, as best he can. Objectively, per his instruments, he's got in the best he can do. The customer then hears it, and yells, "That sounds awful!". So, he learns he has to distort things to the customer's preference. And different people have different preferences. My all time favorite direct to disk recording was of the the 1812 Overture with cannons. The grooves, were the cannons were popping off were, being technical now, a country mile wide. You almost needed to put a brick on the tone arm to keep it from breaking off and flying across the room. That was a remarkable recording.

The inner city culture on full display with this story.
So many cases like this and worse. Like the woman who KNEW her BF was sexually assaulting and battering her pre-adolescent daughter. A normal reaction to a parent finding out something like this is, if possible, torturing the bastard nice and slow for a very long time before dispatching him to hell. Not with some of these people. Posted by: scampydog A great test for what your gear can do and how a recording affects all that is to get your mitts on a high quality recording and a Spotify version of a popping jazz track, combo or big band. Then pay very close to the ride cymbal and the attack/decay on the upright bass. Buddy Rich comes to mind here as a useful place to begin. Yeah, it is a live altering moment that cannot be undone. Masters.
You will NOT FIND a higher quality collection of pressings that are direct FROM the digitally REMASTERED Original Studio Recordings, than from: Mobile Fidelty Sound Labs. Their LPs near to the end of the analog era, were the Best of the Best. Take THAT, to the bank. And their 24 karat gold CD production? Not only degradation proof, but the 8x greater "pit burn" rate ensured that as close to ALL of the information from the Analog Tapes made it TO the Digital Master for the CD repros. Give a listen to their Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon or Elton John's Yellow Brick Road, on the FINEST systems you can find and borrow "a listen". You only thought you had "heard" those albums, before. Until then. And then, you'll hear them anew. And MARVEL. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at June 03, 2024 02:21 AM (e6UQI) 464

There is a level beyond that where the band played live and brass master was cut while playing. Those would be the direct to disc recordings. D2D, with any and all analog FLAWS removed, but leaving every BIT and BYTE or every sub-microscopic wiggle of the stylus, INTACT. MIND BLOWING audio. Do some (non google) net research on MFSL. And you'll then go on a quest to buy of 'em, what you can find. Brace yourself. It ain't gonna be cheap. But it'll be worth it, for the albums you want. Nowadays on a day-long road trip I buy pre-made sandwiches at grocery stores the night before. I keep them in a cooler (out of the ice) and have one for lunch, and also dinner if I will get to my destination late. Add a small bag of chips and a soda from the cooler for a meal and I save money and time.

As many of you probably know here, I spend my Saturday mornings up on a bridge here in the bluest of blue states. I stand behind a chain link fence filled with Donald Trump signs and flags, and American flags. There are at least two accidents every single Saturday, it is always caused by leftist drivers with TDS who abandon all pretext of driving to remove both hands from the wheel and flip us the double bird while ignoring brake lights in front of them. Last Saturday I arrived, we usually number about 20, we had 72 people there on Saturday, someone had deposited a large amount of animal or human feces and urine on both sides of our bridge.
It smelled horrible and some very good people on our side removed it and disinfected the area. Our opposition is a bunch of mentally ill evil fucks. Don't let anybody tell you different. One of tthe organizers suggested that we relocate and I joined several others in saying that we will defend this bridge. It is us or them.
