82 I find the people in Bingham's paintings to be rather wooden, like posed mannequins. But I love the subjects he chose and the details of land, animals and objects he provided. I also enjoy his use of color. It always seems appropriate to the scene.

For me he captures a feel of history, that period of westward expansion before the Civil War but not a raw frontier. It was an interesting (as in 'may you live in interesting times') time in American history.

“This morning, I was proceeding as directed by police officers. It was a very chaotic situation, understandably so considering the tragic accident that had occurred earlier, and there was a big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do. I never intended to disregard any of the instructions. I’m hopeful to put this to the side and focus on golf today.

“Of course, all of us involved in the tournament express our deepest sympathies to the family of the man who passed away in the earlier accident this morning. It truly puts everything in perspective.”

137 We are watching history in the making: the GOP is breaking apart. The GOP has been taken over by MAGA and international political forces. They have become a crime syndicate, not a political party.

The GOP has broken into two pieces:
1-Those who are fine with being criminals to obtain power and wealth and aligning with sinister foreign powers.

2- Those who cannot swallow that direction, "the deer in the headlights" group, they are paralyzed and don't know what to do.

This second group is waking up and joining forces with the Dem party. We see many former GOP strategists and operatives speaking out against Trump and the Magas, aligning with Dems to support a Dem candidate.

the GOP congress showing up and supporting a criminal who is on trial for his many crimes was the final blow. The oligarchs are backing MAGA.

They have lost their minds. Their faith in the sham the orange one has created is 100%. Their purpose is to weaken the United States by propagandizing the American people with lies.

I knew we were in trouble from his very first “rallies” and Ingraham’s nazi salute at the Cleveland convention.

I just don't get any of this. Everyone who follows the PGA knows who Scheffler is, and his general demeanor. I've seen far more belligerent people get into encounters with police and be let off with a citation. I know it was a chaotic situation, but it seems to me like the cops went in there looking to bring the hammer down, and wildly overreacted.

>>In the early hours of the morning in advance of his tee time Scottie was going to the course to begin his pre round preparation. Due to the combination of event traffic and a traffic fatality in the area it was a very chaotic situation He was proceeding as directed by another traffic officer and driving a marked player’s vehicle with credentials visible. In the confusion,Scottie is alleged to have disregarded a different officer’s traffic signals resulting in these charges. Multiple eyewitnesses have confirmed that he did not do anything wrong but was simply proceeding as directed. He stopped immediately upon being directed to and never at any point assaulted any officer with his vehicle. We will litigate this matter as needed and he will be completely exonerated.

I was in Delaware, a really small state, a few weeks and driving back to my hotel at about 9 pm. Very dark night on divided 2 lane road with no street lights. They had shut down 1 lane for about a 1/2 mile for construction and there were flag people allowing the traffice to alternate on the 1 lane.

I waited for about 15 minutes whilel the flag guy on my end was looking at his phone and giving no direction. There was nobody coming so finally I just went for it. Got to the other end and there was a line of about 50 cars waiting to go and the flag guy on that end looked at me like I was causing the problem.

278 Hey, Nurse - how bad is Seattle now? I may be there for a day or two this summer. Was thinking the Queen Anne area might be safe?
Posted by: Thomas Paine

I really don't know. I work downtown. I live in west Seattle, on Alki Beach. I don't go out late. I stay in my lane when I am out and about. Queen Anne is still nice as are Fremont and Wallingford. I'd avoid the University District and Broadway and Capital Hill. Anything south of downtown is a risk. My area has crime, but crime is everywhere. Don't go to Belltown at 3am. You'll be fine. Drop a note to CBD and ask for my contact if you'd like to meet for coffee or a cocktail.

There was a city course I played at that did this off-and-on during the summer months. Usually for charity. They always had hot chicks running the beer carts. Much debauchery going on. For charity you see. So it's ok.
