The great Steven Hayward is on a Javier Milei kick, and quoting extensively from a speech the Argentine President gave in LA last weekend. This is the main theme:
“The West is in danger. It is in danger because its leaders long ago moved away from the ideas of freedom. Ideas that made the West the most important civilizational achievement in the history of mankind. And instead of defending the ideas that generated the prosperity that everyone here enjoys, they listen to siren songs that lead inexorably to socialism, and consequently to poverty. The accusation is his lawyers got Stormy to sign an NDA, for which she was paid (as is required) and then the Trump Organization was billed by the law firm for reimbursement. Trump Organization accounted for the subsequent payment as "legal expense". NYS says they should have called it something else, but hasn't said what or even why it matters. I believe there is/was something out there called Harmys de specialized editions of the original trilogy.

Good morning morons from Portland OR
The satellite radio in my writing room is tuned to a Portland classical station. It's miles ahead of the Boston station here. Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing (aka Eloquent Depression) at May 08, 2024 07:13 AM (Q0kLU) 111

“Young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is,” - New York Governor Kathy Hochul
Our black kids in Texas have computers. Why is NY so racist? Posted by: rhennigantx at May 08, 2024 07:17 AM (ENQN6) 113
I mentioned ythis on the comments recently. This is why idiots like Karine can claim with a straight face, well, straightish face, that "crime under Biden is down."
"In 2022, the Biden regime made it no longer "mandatory" to report crime stats to the FBI. The results was over 1/3 (over 6000 precincts) didn't report any crimes to the FBI. Cities that hardly reported any crime stats to the FBI include NYC, Baltimore, Washington DC, Miami and a ton of entire huge cities. Of course, this was done by the Democrats to hide their soaring crime numbers and easily fool low IQ sheep into believing easily provable hogwash." Lies, damned Lord, and statistics. You juke the stats, they'll say whatever you want then to say. Posted by: Someone Else at May 08, 2024 07:18 AM (IrqeV) 114

She's sick and tired of being sick and tired. HM is a very active, very energetic lady. Now she feels frail and old. Between the knee surgery and her eye surgery having gone wrong, she's very depressed. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh at May 08, 2024 07:18 AM (MoZTd) 115
Apparently, in Korea, you can buy gold at vending machines in convenience stores and they are big sellers.
Portable money, for, you know, those moments when you need to run away from oncoming tanks. Posted by: Huck Follywood at May 08, 2024 06:03 AM (zuz4h) Those Koreans well, how do they say it, "eno enoa juang". Which means, "this guy...this is not my kind of guy".
