UK approves law to deport illegal migrants to Rwanda

After weeks of debate, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has pushed through Parliament a law to deport migrants to Rwanda. The implication is that asylum seekers who enter the UK illegally will be automatically - regardless of their origin - deported to the East African country.

At the same time, the British government also expects to ban the ability to challenge a deportation decision in the courts. The bill, which was approved by the upper house of the British Parliament, officially recognizes Rwanda as a safe country.

Now migrants who have entered the UK illegally will be deported to Rwanda and seek asylum there.

50 Evening Horde.

Man am I enjoying that whole click the number to refresh thing we discovered this morning.

Day started good.
Then got word that a co-worker's wife died in a head on collision on her way to work. Wrong way driver on the freeway.
Then found out she was the sister of 2 other employees.
Then a co-worker comes to me with pictures of his kids leg cast removal (18 month old, trampoline, need I say more?). The stupid bitch, I mean Doctor burned his legs up the entire cut on both sides with the saw getting hot. I almost puked.

I told him to get a lawyer before he ever talks to anyone or signs anything. He said the hospital wanted to talk to him after work. I said call them and reschedule for when you get a lawyer.

Long term capital gains encompasses selling your house after you retire and you want to move to Florida. A 44% tax on that is gonna destroy the housing market.

Granted right now you don't pay capital gains on the first $250,000/$500,000 when you sell your primary residence but I am fairly certain that exemption will disappear when this new tax law comes into effect.

They've been like that for decades even with coaching changes. They go for the perfect single shot instead of shooting as often as possible aiming for deflections, lucky shot, or rebounds setting up a better shot. 271 White Devil Alec Baldwin Cafe👍😈

Yikes! Could never use a glass walled bathroom for lots of reasons. 🙊🙉🙈

Philly spent a fortune for 4 public bathrooms & another fortune to keep them as clean as possible and stocked with tampons & narcan. Locally, spot-a-pots are working for the local parks.

276 >>They've been like that for decades even with coaching changes. They go for the perfect single shot instead of shooting as often as possible aiming for deflections, lucky shot, or rebounds setting up a better shot.

And just like that a shot that was going 5 feet wide goes in.

And then they give a goal to quite possibly the most destable person in the game.

277 If you leave out eggs, butter, milk, OJ, Bread and bacon, you have a shot.
Posted by: Thomas Bender

You should leave out the OJ and milk. A little bread, if it's hearty and not full of sugar, et al., would go well with the other stuff (unless you want to go full carney). Very few people can do the no-carb life.

279 NEW: UCLA medical school's mandatory health equity class teaches students that weight loss is a "hopeless endeavor" and that "ob*sity" is a slur "used to exact violence on fat people."
The full syllabus has shocked prominent doctors—the former dean of Harvard Medical School.🧵

I remember a couple years ago when I was getting down to fighting weight I looked up something about intermittent fasting.

Yandex had some good info in the top ten links. OTOH the top ten of Google was almost entirely articles about how weight loss doesn't work, and being fat is healthy. Not making it up. I was genuinely looking for info. Bastards.

Blackboard is/was a decent LMS (handled the variety), but the Null programming whiff is a head scratcher.
