Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Fake "Whistleblower" Who Gamed the System to Start the First Trump Impeachment May Be Forced to be a Witness in Joe Biden's ImpeachmentPaul Sperry for RealClearPolitics: The 'whistleblower' who sparked Donald Trump's first impeachment was deeply involved in the political maneuverings behind Biden-family business schemes in Ukraine that Trump wanted probed, newly obtained emails from former Vice President Joe Biden's office reveal. If you remember, he faked his "whistleblower" status. Whistleblowers must have, according to the law, first-hand knowledge of some crime or dereliction they want to report. Eric Ciarmarella never had first-hand knowledge, he had heard it from someone without the guts to come forward. The Deep State bent over backwards to contrive a reason that he should be treated as a whistleblower anyway. Recall that Biden decided to demand that Ukraine fire the prosecutor looking into Burisma, and threatened to hold back a billion dollars in US funding until they did. Later, Obama and the Deep State would pretend that this was all authorized by the State Department. But it wasn't. The State Department never expressed any desire to see Shokin fired. Biden just made that up on his own -- as a favor to his son, who needed to deliver to his paymasters to prove the Biden Brand was worth investing in. And Eric Ciarmarella was among those who were "shocked" to see Biden freelancing and extorting a foreign country as a favor to his son: The emails show Ciaramella expressed shock -- "Yikes" is what he wrote -- at Biden's move to withhold the $1 billion in aid from Kyiv, which represented a sudden shift in U.S. policy. They also show he was drawn into White House communications over how to control adverse publicity from Hunter taking a lucrative seat on Burisma's board. There's much more in the article. But this irony is wonderful:

What Ciaramella witnessed and what he documented in notes he took during high-level Biden-Ukraine meetings could now be relevant to the active impeachment inquiry of President Biden. The House may have little choice but to hold the kind of hearings the Democrats blocked during the earlier impeachment by keeping Ciaramella's identity -- and his own potential conflict -- secret.

It infuriates me, I know I shouldn't care as much being how screwed up things are, but it really does infuriate me that the entire substance of Trump's impeachment was evidence of Biden's criminality. Constitutional law experts are examining the implications of the precedent set by Senate Democrats on Wednesday, when they killed the impeachment trial of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, effectively dismissing it.
After the Senate deemed both articles of impeachment unconstitutional, the upper chamber adjourned, quashing all hope for a trial on Mayorkas' alleged crimes. This was historically significant, as an impeachment trial had never been dismissed, tabled or otherwise discarded without the accused official having first exited their role in one way or another. "The Senate has no constitutional authority to rule that the articles approved by the House do not state impeachable offenses," explained Andrew McCarthy, a former chief assistant United States attorney in the Southern District of New York and a senior fellow at the National Review Institute. But, BOTH are pretty hopeless and dystopian by their very nature.
One interesting part of the fantasy series that I think they meant to be there but didn't really focus on is that it is the relatively peace and prosperity that civilization brings that dooms the world. The elves were the first run of this. They got fat, lazy and bored and turned to decadence. Which created a Chaos god (Slaanesh) that almost destroyed the world. Later the humans in turn build powerful stable civilizations in Europe (and maybe China) and it is the decadence of those civilizations that allow the Chaos gods to destroy everything. Siegmar beat the early Chaos invasions because humans were less decadent and he failed in the last because they no longer pure enough... Posted by: 18-1 at April 19, 2024 03:58 PM (ibTVg) 177
>>> Yeah. It is one of those things that always bothered me about concerts. My hearing and memory work in very particular ways. The first time I hear any song, it gets frozen into 'the way it should sound.' Then when you go to a concert and things are different- which makes perfect sense except for the 'artists' who are lip synching- it hits my ear and brain as 'wrong' even if it is just normal variation that is not dissonant.
Posted by: Aetius451AD at April 19, 2024 03:49 PM (di6C2) I have absolute perfect pitch. Not by training just born that way. It's synesthesia-sound based. That doesn't mean I sing perfectly by any means but I sure know when I'm off or others. It's interesting in concerts you find out what an artist's vocal range is operationally which might be completely different than thier albums and it sounds off. I've never understood the perfect pitch thing. Musical scales are a manmade construct, and vary by culture. The scales used in traditional Chinese and Japanese music, for example, differ from those used in modern Western music, which in turn differ from those used earlier in the West by the Greeks and Romans. One of the games the Dems play is claiming the EU also was against Shokin.
As if the EU isn't being lobbied by Burisma, too (they hired a Polish ex-EU guy at the same time as Huntie) But here you see Ciaramella mention they will "circle back" with EU to "expedite" that matter. You don't "circle back" unless you already had been doing it before...so they could have pressured the EU to help get Shokin fired, and thus the EU action are not evidence of their justification.
