Democrat Mega-Donor Sam Bankman-Fried Sentenced to 25 Years for Swindling Billions from Customers

Prosecutors sought 50 years but Sam Bankman-Fried got the Friends and Family Discount.

Crypto entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried on Thursday was sentenced to 25 years in prison for stealing $8 billion from customers at the failed crypto exchange, FTX.
U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan said that the FTX founder had committed "obstruction of justice," according to NBC News.
Bankman-Fried admitted during his sentencing hearing in New York that he made "selfish decisions" when running the failed crypto exchange.
"They built something really beautiful and I threw all of that away," Bankman-Fried said of his former co-workers at the exchange, according to CNBC News.

Way back when, the circle of "friends" I belonged to, there was a gal who was part of the group, she looked strikingly similar to Bill Fagerbakke. Don't recognize the name? He was Tom Cullen in The Stand, was in Coach, and most famously the voice of Patrick Star.

Not good looking, in other words. Guys were willing to hook up with her though... because she seemed to have no self-esteem. You'd be at a party/event, and someone would emerge from the shadows, and she'd come out not long after, with a sheepish look on her fugly mug.

If it must be said... I never did. Would have never even considered it.
