This painting is aggressively meh.

I like the skylight. My attention is attracted to the two guys walking off towards the right.

But is it supposed to be level or is the dude in the center walking up an incline? And where's the light source? It's coming from everywhere all at once.

Ain't no Rothko, that's for sure.

Would not hang. Might hang at a chiropractor's office.

Such experiences ... were conducive to Surrealism's attraction to the marvellous.' Maddox painted this scene from memory in England, and based the lion on a sculpture at Montparnasse cemetery."

69 This has a rather cold, distant effect to it. Partly because the arcade is mostly empty; partly because the patron or civil servant and the guy up the walkway are still wearing their hats and coats, and the lion has a robe or cloak too.

When I first looked at the painting, I thought the panels on the right, where we see the two suited men walking, were glass or plexiglas. Enlarging the thing, I wonder if the lines might be wires with no glass between; there's no hint of reflection or refraction. But then the winter weather would sweep right in.

Passage de l’Opéra is a stark depiction of perspective in art. The viewer's eye is drawn along the passageway as parallel structures such as ceilings, walls and floors are depicted by converging lines. As the viewers eye traverse the floor into the distance he can see where the floor transitions from a highly polished surface to bare wood. It is as if the floor polisher's union had called for a walkout, and the crew simply disappeared.

In 2021 and 2022 high end cars got retarded expensive. Some were going for $50k over MSRP. That’s all gone now. And that $50k drop in price on a $250k car is counted in the price decline. But a $30k Toyota Camry msrp increased in price by $500. That kind of thing.

I've seen it, with my own two eyes, on multiple continents. I know it to be true, because I've experienced it. Associate whatever name you wish, it doesn't discredit what I've witnessed personally and routinely.

Canada used to have something pretty close to us, but they're fading faster than we are. South America ? You won't find what we have here. Ditto in Asia or Europe. Israel - not even close.

Part of the idea was to share the work rather than have one employee getting 100 percent and the other one being unemployed. So both workers get 50 percent.

Ironically, the smaller businesses in Europe are advantaged to some extent over the big ones. In France, for example, many onerous regulations apply only to those with over 50 employees. So you create multiple 49 employee companies etc.
